In some countries, bananas used for cooking may be called "plantains", distinguishing them from dessert bananas. The fruit is variable in size, colour, and firmness, but is usually elongated and curved, with soft flesh rich in starch covered with a rind, which may be green, yellow, red, purple, or brown when ripe. It must have been a Tuesday, Tuesday is breakfast bagel day. They only do breakfast bagels on Tuesdays. Of COURSE it was a Tuesday. Anyway, I’m buying this bagel as it was my birthday; and what better a day to treat yourself to a Tuesday breakfast bagel than a Tuesday breakfast BIRTHDAY bagel right????? So the bagel guy asks me what I’ve got going on today, and I tell him it’s my birthday. He goes “Oh, Happy Birthday!” and I said “You too!”. Can you believe that?! "You too?" This is why I'm a banana. I’m being punished. I’m being punished for not being able to have simple interactions with other humans.
