The Quality of Life and Death - Final UpdateApr 11, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, With the 1.0 release behind us, and your post-release feedback coming through, it was time to do some final Inkulianti polishes and touch-ups. And we’ve also heard you loud and clear on the “Why can’t we play as Death in Duel Mode?!?!” issue. So, scribes, get ready - after defeating Death in Journey mode, Death will be available to play in Duel Mode. It’s the one brush with Death you can positively look forward to! We’ve also added a few “Town” Battlefields in Duel Mode, so you have more variety when facing your friends, foes, or family. We’ve also made some changes to the UI, so your battles are now clearer to read and plan. We’ve improved the Movement UI preview, making it more curvy so it better presents the potential movement of your Beasts. Also, the icons in Beasts tooltips that describe passive abilities are now coloured so that you can spot and differentiate those abilities from the description of Beast actions. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/06503cbfa3b6500f1d18b4dd80b68d25d16c4680.png We’ve fixed up a nice chunk of the bugs that you all reported, balanced the Travelling Frog (it costs a bit more to get the Frog now), fixed some text and localization issues, and a lot, lot more. Check out the Changelog below to see all the changes that we’ve made. This will be our last Inkulinati update for the foreseeable future and it couldn’t have been done without your help. So for all your reports, thank you. An honourable tip of the hat is aimed in your direction. We’ve also given a nice sweet 50% discount to celebrate it all, so if you’ve been thinking about getting Inkulinati, now is the time. And hey, just because this is the last update doesn't mean we're leaving you. Quite the opposite! You can still find us here on the Steam forums, where we’ll still be available to help you out. And if you want to stay in touch with us, there's a Discord server where you can find us and other Inkulinati players every day of the week. You can join us right here. Thank you so much for all your support during our Inkulinati journey and between you and us, stay tuned for more updates from us in the near future ;) Until next time, Your Yaza Games and Daedalic Teams CHANGELOG This update includes bug fixes and quality of life improvements Balance Frog the Traveller cost increased from 100 to 200 UI and Effects Improved camera positioning on battlefields Visual changes in the presentation of the unit movement path Visual tweaks on battlefields - borders connect more smoothly, text generated in the background does not extend beyond the margins Information about an additional nap effect has been added to the "Take a nap" icon for Rabbits, Apes and Pilgrim Wolf An additional icon has been added to the beast when the player has a talent that affects the unit being drawn (e.g. "Born Ready" Talent) The green range field covering the outline of the drawn beast has been removed Beast Perks have a colored icon to distinguish them from attack icons Add...A big Thank You from the whole Inkulinati teamMar 7, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHey everyone, Now that the release nerves have eased up and we have a few moments to take a breather, we have a few words that we wanted to share with you. We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! for all your support and kind words now, throughout the Early Access phase, and before Inkulinati was available to play. You've been a huge help for us. There were many times that your comments or funny replies on our socials gave us a kick to keep on going and work on our game just for you. Knowing that there are people out there who love our game and genuinely, positively only want what’s best for us is heart-warming. So for that, thank you once again Inkulinati 1.0 is OUT NOW!Feb 22, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHello everyone, We are really happy to announce that Inkulinati 1.0 is OUT NOW! Our Early Access journey lasted just over a year, and it goes without saying that without your ongoing comments, feedback, support and love, the game would never have been what it is today. Thanks to your suggestions throughout the last year we added new content, such as new Inkulinati Masters, new Beasts, Battlefields, polished the game’s mechanics, balanced it, squashed bugs, and loads, loads more. Inkulinati is truly a game built by you all. So from the bottom of our collective heart, thank you. With the 1.0 release, we’ve improved the game as well. First up, we have the Travelling Frog join our roster of Beasts - yeay! What started as a little social media lol during Kickstarter now ended up appearing in our game for real. We’ve added new colours for your armies. Enriched the soundscape with more medieval sounds. We also took all that feedback of yours and the 1.0 release also has a ton of improvements to the gameplay itself, with lots of balancing under the hood. We hope that you will enjoy the full version as much as we do, and that it will give you hours of brain-tingling fun. Once again, thank you for all your comments, feedback, and support. And remember, just because the Early Access phase finished, it doesn’t mean that we don’t want your feedback. Quite the opposite! Let us know your thoughts below or leave a review. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Until next time, Your Yaza Games and Daedalic Teams. We have the official release date of version 1.0! Mark your calendars, Inkulinati Masters, as we're set to launch the full version of Inkulinati on February 22, 2024. Your support and feedback during the Early Access period have been invaluable to us. Your comments, suggestions, feedback, reviews, and words of encouragement have made Inkulinati a better game. And behind the scenes, we've worked really hard on making Inkulinati an engaging and polished experience. From refining gameplay mechanics, and countless new additions, to enhancing visual elements and squashing numerous bugs. Inkulinati has evolved into an even better strategy game. Can't wait for you all to play the final release in just a few weeks time. Speak to you soon, Your Yaza Games and Daedalic Teams Art strategy game Inkulinati gets 1.0 launch in February, still an illuminated manuscript full of warring animalsFeb 8, 2024 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunNot to denigrate either the efforts of either the comms or dev teams, but when a game has been knocking around my consciousness for a while, eventually I just move it it from a mental box marked "in development" to "probably out now, innit" without any input from anyone else. Inkulinati, a turn-based strategy game where you play a medieval artist duking it out with another artist on the pages of an illuminated manuscript, is one such. It's been kicking about on Steam since at least 2019, and in fairness to me it did launch in January last year - it just went into early access. These factors contributed to me being sort of surprised at the reveal of the actual release date for 1.0, which is February 22nd. Read more The “Tactical Swimming” Major Update is here!Dec 13, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, We are happy to announce that the all new “Tactical Swimming” update is here, ready for download! What awaits you? New Water Beasts, new Battlefields, new Talents, a lot of balancing, and lots, lots more was added to Inkulianti. Let’s dive a bit deeper into those new features. Shall we? So the big addition is the all new Inkulinati army - the Water Army! This army is made up of the Sword-Wielding Fish, Spear-Wielding Fish, Bow-Wielding Fish, and the Seal. On the Battlefields where those Beasts will grace a Big Water will arise at the beginning of a chapter. These water Beasts are immune to damage from the Big Water. When they are located on fields covered in water, their Sprint Range becomes Walk Range (it means that they will be able to attack their opponents). Not bad of a perk, isn’t it? {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/239636eaf4d3a39a02e140eae14b91f0a904187b.png Water Army and Water. Here’s a quick summary of each Beast: Sword-Wielding Fish - a formidable aquatic Beast whose melee attacks prove invaluable in submerging hostile Beasts. Spear-Wielding Fish - magnificent aquatic creature, akin to the Sword-Wielding Fish. However, with its aquatic spear, it can target adversaries on different levels of the battlefield. Bow-Wielding Fish - a waterborne Beast whose attacks can flood the enemy's army from a considerable distance. Seal - a legendary aquatic creature whose spear inflicts not only significant damage but can also pierce two adversaries simultaneously! Where there are fish, there must be Water too. With this update Water will flood some of the Battlefields. There might be small and big fields of Water. No matter the size, while in water, Water Beasts will always have a Walk Range. At the end of the Chapter, big Water deals an additional 3 damage to non-water Beasts and to Tiny Inkulinati, as well as Battlefield elements. Between Chapters, big Water turns into small Water, and small Water disappears. And just like in nature, Water destroys Fire Sparks, Bonfires, and Bean Pots. However, Fire Sparks will destroy Water if they are created while on the same field. Yes, let those tactical braincells of yours percolate with ideas! We’ve also added a ton of new Talents, with some that are strictly connected to water itself! As you may already have noticed, every Talent can be placed in a category. Some of them will belong to the Defensive category, giving your army and Tiny more defence - adding shields, halos, etc. Other Talents will help you with collecting Living Ink, and others will improve your damage. While getting experience during your Journey, you can collect new Talents and pick those that you like the most. Till now, you could choose one from three randomly picked Talents. With this update, it'll be a bit different. From now on, you will be presented with two Talents from the same category you already have and three from ones you don’t. This will help you choose Talents that create synergies between them, making ...An important UpdateDec 8, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello everyone, As we approach the final stages of our Early Access journey, with Update 4 just around the corner, we have some news to share. As many of you already know, Inkulinati already includes a local multiplayer mode that makes it possible to play together with your friends while they are at your place - we have tried during the recent development process to integrate this function on an online-level - but unfortunately Inkulinati will not feature an online multiplayer mode upon its 1.0 release. This decision wasn't made lightly, and despite our best efforts to enable you to find your opponents throughout the internet, it turned out to be impossible for us and the scenario we are in. Let us provide you with some context on why this decision was made. Initially, when we planned for online multiplayer, the game was smaller in scale, making it easier to add extra features. However, as we expanded the game with more content like new Beasts, Masters, Battlefields, Academy classes, and more, and also worked on porting the game to “various” platforms (more news about that coming here soon), adding an online multiplayer component across all these platforms turned out to be a too heavy task to burden while at the same time preparing everything for the 1.0 release. It was an ambitious goal to begin with, but at this point in development it turned out to be too risky for the game's functionality. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/3afbb6b1a18c094595707acfbdcb91f480a3bb46.png Essentially, we faced a choice between enhancing the existing offline experience (which we wanted to make even better and packed with a lot more content) or creating multiplayer at all costs, which might end up being very simple and not satisfying for players who are used to other multiplayer 2D strategies. The challenges of implementing online multiplayer at this stage could have potentially compromised the overall gaming experience. In other words – given our very small team – we had to make a difficult decision. It wasn’t an easy decision, but at least for now, we decided to focus solely on the offline experience and polish it as much as possible before the 1.0 release. Our team is currently focused on creating new content, enhancing existing features based on your valuable feedback, and ensuring a successful launch on additional platforms. We want to maintain the high standard reflected in the current 89% User Rating on Steam. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/ed627f3f4c1ca59858c3f75089c7011989c57b62.png While we won't have an online multiplayer mode, there is positive news to share though: Local multiplayer remains intact and will receive improvements, including new Beasts, Battlefields, and more. You can still enjoy playing online against your friends using the Steam Remote Play feature as a workaround. Additionally, new Inkulinati content, featuring a brand new water army, is on the horizon. The console versions are making great progress, and we continue to refine and expand the game....A new Achievement, Festival, and an epic Bundle fit for a grand strategist!Nov 16, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, Hold on to your tunics, as we’ve got a stack of info that we have packed for you in this update. First off, a sneak peek into the development realm. Thanks to your comments, the "I am G-O-D-F-R-E-Y" achievement won't make it to the full 1.0 release of Inkulinati. Your feedback spoke volumes, and we've decided to level up by replacing it with a newer, cooler achievement. We heard you loud and clear on how confusing it was to obtain it and the bugs tied to the old achievement, and we're committed to delivering an even more enjoyable experience with the revised achievement list. What will the new Achievement be and just how cool is it? Stay tuned for the big reveal! Next up, we're thrilled to share that Inkulinati is part of the Turn-based Carnival on Steam. It's a fantastic celebration of turn-based games, and we’re already flicking through the Steam page ourselves, looking to stumble upon some hidden gems. Dive into the festival, indulge in some gaming, and let those precious grey cells delight in some brain-tingling strategic conundrums! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/4b9946abb81890d923afcc21e1ca29e60fb5cb65.png And that's not all. With the help of our publisher Daedalic Entertainment, we've teamed up with Unfrozen, the fantastic devs of Iratus: Lord of the Dead, to bring you a Steam bundle of epic proportions (we’ve seen it - it’s huge). This turn-based tactical roguelike RPG is set in a dark fantasy universe. Even though the realms are different, the need for tactical nuance is the same. So grab this exclusive bundle, get two incredible games, and save some hard-earned cash in the process! And if you already have Inkulinati, there is no sweat - you’ll get Iratus with the bundle discount as well. https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/36553/TurnBasedTactics_Bundle/ Finally, a small favour. If you can spare a minute or two, please consider leaving Inkulinati a Steam review. Currently, we are at 189 reviews, we're just 11 shy of hitting the 200 mark. The more reviews Inkulinati gets means a bigger promotion from Steam, meaning more eyes on our game, and for a small studio like ours, that's a game-changer A tease of what’s coming in the next major updateOct 28, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, We hope you've been enjoying the recent additions in our previous major update. How are you finding the Ape Army? A bit rowdy, aren’t they? And how about St Francis and his Army of Pigeons? Well, we can’t stop here though, can we? Oh no! Here at Yaza Games HQ, we've been crafting the next Inkulinati additions. Care to see what we’ve been working on? Splendid! Follow us in that case and just watch your head right here… and here we are. Welcome to our studio. There's been a bit of a buzz about a mysterious new army joining the world of Inkulinati. While we can't reveal all the details just yet, one can say that there's something a little fishy about these new Beasts. Actually, there’s one just right there! Allow us to introduce you to the first member of this enigmatic ensemble - the Seal! This new Beast has the uncanny ability to control an all-new element that’s being introduced in the next update. We can’t spoil too much for now, but the one thing that we can say is that the Seal can definitely make a splash on the Battlefield. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/afdac07cfb00caf5008aff5802c389d0a73f33b4.png Everyone, a new Beast! The Seal. We can’t show you all the Beasts just yet, as that would be what some refer to as “spoilers”, but don’t fret, we will reveal them slowly to you in the coming weeks (however, for those with a keen eye, there might be another new Beast featured somewhere in this update. Where could it be…). And what else have we been working on? Well, we can say that we've been revamping the Battlefields. What we wanted to do is give you a more balanced and engaging experience on all the current maps. At the same time, we've also crafted a delightful assortment of new Battlefields that will soon become part of the game. Allow us to show you a sneak peek at a few of them. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/8dc6bf9706c97c5a9a7ccecaf60888af180aff44.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/82db6338dfa623bdba9a9bd5544ab0ac2170b4b3.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/8679168792d61b3fde0c6d05661f0256febe52a0.png And last but not least, a little inside scoop - we will add new Talents. Will these talents have something to do with a new element that is being introduced? Quite possibly… We will also make it easier for you to decide which new ones to pick up too, but we will reveal all the details properly when the time is right. Finally, before we leave, we want to ask for a little favour. If you can spare a minute or two, leave us a Steam review. You see, the Steam algorithm works in such a way that the more reviews a game has, the more frequently it will be recommended to new players. And the more Inkulinati players we get, the more content that we can prep for you. So please, leave a review if you can. It’ll mean the world to us. Until next time, Your Yaza Games and Daedalic teams The Ape Professor and the Frenzy Ape Army are here!Aug 28, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, We are thrilled to announce the much-anticipated arrival of the third Major Inkulinati update, specially crafted for your enjoyment. Brace yourself for new and exciting Beasts, features, Tiny Inkulinati Master, Battlefields, and other improvements that will add more Medieval manuscript sparkle to your Inkulinati experience! First and foremost, prepare to meet the brand-new Inkulinati Master - the Ape Professor, who brings with him the unique and highly formidable Ape Army. These fresh warriors will undoubtedly add a whole new dimension to your gameplay, offering thrilling challenges and strategic opportunities like never before. They certainly don’t… wait for it… monkey around. The Ape Professor is equipped with three Hand Actions: Awakening (wakes a friendly beast up from their Nap and gives them an additional Turn in the current Chapter), Mass Headache (gives a Headache to up to three selected enemy Beasts), and Swat with Infection (strikes the selected target for 5 damage and Infects it). In Duel mode, The Ape Professor has five Talents to use: Plague Immunity (Professor is immune to Plague), Painful Fingers (moving enemies with hand Actions cause Headache), Ape’s Anger (when Tiny gets damage from an enemy attack, a random enemy Beast gains Headache), Plague Business (for every infected Beast on the Battlefield at the end of the Chapter, Tiny will gain 1 drop of Living Ink), and a Non-Daily Headache (if Professor's health drops below 50%, a random enemy Beast will gain a Headache at the beginning of each Chapter). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/5969ed0a4948da320ea219d9a4734d1eee2100cd.png The Ape Professor and his Ape Army. Now that we introduced the new Inkulinati Master, allow us to tell you a bit about the Professor’s formidable Ape Army, featuring the mighty Broom-Wielding Ape, Belt-Wielding Ape, Goblet-Wielding Ape, and the ever-curious Professor's Assistant. Their extraordinary capabilities are an adventure waiting to unfold in itself, so we will leave the joy of discovering their prowess entirely in your hands. However, we’ll leave you with one tip. What unites almost all Apes (except Profossor's Assistant, he has more important things to do) is their profound appreciation for Frenzy. Each Ape soldier possesses one level of Ape's Frenzy, which will increase by 1 at the end of their turn. Now, you may be curious about the wondrous effects of Ape's Frenzy. As this captivating Frenzy takes hold, it removes Infection, and with each level gained, random effects will be added to Ape’s attacks. A word of caution though: just like with everything in life, it’s all about balance. Should Ape's Frenzy exceed the maximum level of 3, a Headache will befall, leading to a loss of the Ape Frenzy status. As with any great power, moderation is indeed the key to triumph. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/3afbb6b1a18c094595707acfbdcb91f480a3bb46.png Ape Professor and Apes. But that's not all! Furthermore, we've made notable adjustments to the economy, enemies' progression, and emphasised the importance of diversity in Battlefields. And we’ve heard your feedback on Danse Macabre - we are giving it a re-jig too. There are other changes happening too, but we’ll tell you more about them when the update comes out. We hope that you like this little tease of what’s coming and you like the new content that we’re planning. We can’t wait to show you what else we’ve got for you, but we’ll leave that for another time. All we can say is that we’re not that far off from when the new content is coming! Until next time, take care and speak to you soon, Yo...Inkulinati is now 30% off!Jun 29, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, As some of you may have already noticed, the Steam Summer Sale is upon us. We hope you’re having a fantastic summer (or winter to all our southern hemisphere fans. Stay warm) and we’ll speak with you soon. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/90e7801c226ee81c38b526e95437fe7d21df9a13.png Until next time, Yaza Games and Daedalic Entertainment https://store.steampowered.com/app/957960/Inkulinati/ Major Update #2 “Dragon, Hares, and the Beast’s Lairs” is here!Jun 5, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsRejoice Inkulinati Masters, Well, would you believe it - the second major inkulinati update is here. It’s done, tested, and ready for you to download! We’ve received a lot of great feedback from you since our release, and this update is a result of all your comments, thoughts, and ideas. In this update you will find a bit of everything; new Beasts, a new type of battle, changes to gameplay, new talents, a new Academy class, and loads, loads more. Let’s dive in then Inkulinati Masters. Shall we?? We know that a lot of you are wondering about the new Beasts (heck, we’re excited about them too), so let’s start with those. There are now four new Beasts joining the Inkulinati roster - two Hares, Bees, and the all-powerful Dragon. The Hares are the bigger and more vicious cousins of Rabbits. The Mighty Hare (the one with the Mace) smashes its weapon so hard that whoever receives that blow will get a painful Headache. As you all know, Headaches are a serious issue as any Beast that has one can either move or take an action - not both. That can certainly throw any plans you might’ve had out the window, giving you a headache in the process too. The Hare with the Basket is also one vicious Beast - he uses puppies as explosives! And if you get hit with this cute explosive, you will get a nasty Headache too. Now, if you think this is as bad as it gets, you would be wrong. This Hare also eats the puppies that he carries (told you it gets worse). Why would he do such a travesty?!?! Well, by doing so it allows him to regain health, but also - Motivation, which lets him go through the whole range of movement and still perform an action. Pretty powerful stuff. So the lesson is “Beware of the Hare with the Basket”. As of right now, you will also be able to play with, and face against the Dragon! This is the most powerful Beast in all of Inkulinati. It’s also the Beast that costs the most amount of Living Ink. It flies around in stylish eyewear, bites enemies which causes Infection, spits fire which creates Fire Sparks, and is itself immune to Infection and Fire Sparks. What a magnificent, legendary Beast. You will also get to meet the hat-wearing Bees. These little Beasts may not have a lot of life, and they lose health when they attack. However, when they do sting they make their enemies Bloat, making them explode upon their death. Plus, the Bees have a really cool, tiny hat. Sure, seems like a frivolous thing to mention, but it would feel like a missed opportunity not to do so. The next major addition coming with this update are the Beast Lairs. Thanks to them, you will have a new type of battle in the Journey mode. The Beast Lairs are an element on the Battlefield from which opposing Beasts emerge from time to time. You win the battle when you destroy all the Beast Lairs on the Battlefield - and all the opponents. There are four different types of Beast Lairs, and all spawn different Beasts. The battles against them are intense. However, if you come away with a...A tease of our next major update!May 15, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsWelcome Inkulinati Masters, Not that long ago, we released our first major Inkulinati update, St. Francis and Friends. And now we are getting ready for our second one, which is called... A Dragon, Hares, And the Beast Lairs! That’s right, everyday we are working to make your Inkulinati experience that much better. This update has been shaped a lot by your comments and feedback. It’s an update in which you played a massive part in. We’ve also added some cool new content too. Now, we don’t want to spoil all the surprises for you, but it doesn’t mean we can’t reveal some of it! So get ready and check out what’s coming! The first thing we want to show you are Beast Lairs. They are new objects on Battlefields that appear in new battle scenarios which you will come across during your journey. Be warned though as these Lairs are a tough nut to crack as new opposing Beasts will appear from them during a battle every few turns - and they won't stop appearing until you destroy the Beast Lair itself! In some cases, there will only be one Lair. In other situations, you might have multiple of them to deal with. So use your tactical acumen and get rid of them ASAP! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/aa9fa644d2ba481d059927a145dc5145e6774f68.pngWhen you see a Beast's Lair on the Battlefield, make sure to destroy it fast! There are also new Beasts joining the Inkulinati roster too! Today, we’ll concentrate on one. This particular Beast is big, strong, and able to fly. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are happy to announce the coming of the Dragon. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/d537a0e5fad47bd9c5d1855d438c9e9baaa912e1.pngThe Dragon is joining the Inkulinati bestiary. Beware of the Dragon. This mighty creature is the strongest one from all Inkulinati Beasts. He can fly, so he’s able to quickly change his position on the map. Going up or down from one level to another is not a problem for him - he doesn’t need ladders, to move up that’s for sure. If you face him, then you better keep a safe distance as his Fireball will burn anything and anyone standing on its way - and it will leave firesparks too! The mighty Dragon is not the only Beast that will join Inkulinati in the next update. He will come along with a few more companions… Thanks to your feedback, we’ve also redesigned how you choose your starting Inkulinati Master and its Beasts. We’ve introduced a Class system which also comes with a new set of Talents that will work well with the Beasts that you start with. This will help you choose a combination of Talents and Beasts that suit your style of play. We’ll tell you more about this a bit later on, so stay tuned. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/1d896c7db36f31ad117ecd9601945429d700ba7c.png This is just a little taste of what's coming. We wanted our first major content drop to be one for the ages, packed with new characters and improvements. An update that will make you go “splendid”. We hope that it is exactly how you felt. So, what do we have in store for you? Well, quite a bit! Let us tell you about what you can expect to see once you download that update. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/20da818c4513778ec91397bc63139a0a58bb1d1f.png First up, we have a new Inkulinati Master and a new Army of Beasts! May we introduce to you St. Francis and his loveable-yet-deadly furry and feathery Army. He is the patron saint of the environment and animals, so it’s only fitting that by his side you will encounter sword, bow, and spear-wielding Pigeons, a Sheep Devotee, and the Wolf Pilgrim! How exciting! Along with the new Beasts, St. Francis will also have all new hand actions, like shooting a deadly Stigmat Laser and the all-new ability to add Armour. Hopefully, these new additions will keep your heads scratching - just don’t scratch while the Stigmata Laser is going off in full-blast mode. We’ve also added new minimaps and Battlefields to Journey Mode, along with a new Battlefield object - the Pilgrims Shrine. We’ve also polished our Battlefield randomization system, meaning that the odds of having the same Battlefields appearing in your campaign run should be greatly diminished. This should add more replayability to Inkulinati. Fear not, as we are listening to your feedback and we’re working on making the game even more replayable. We’ve also added a new playable Tiny Inkulinati - the one and only Andreas from Pentiment! Yes, you’ll be able to choose the Andreas look in Journey mode, as well as in Duel mode. We’ve been huge fans of Obsidian for what seems like forever, and when Pentiment was announced, we were thrilled that another game that’s tackling medieval art is coming out. We then had a chance of meeting them personally at Gamescom and had a fantastic week with them where we talked about games, medieval times, and more. We clicked and became friends. We had this wild idea of putting each other characters in our games, like a little easter egg exchange, and after a few emails back and forth it became a reality! So, Inkulianti Masters, we hope you give Andreas a warm welcome to the Inkulinati universe and thank you to our friends at Obsidian for making this happen! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/8929637f14a1531f06dd9836562420fa13d1bf27.png We’ve been hearing your thoughts and feedback on the game itself, and we worked a lot on balancing Inkulinati. We’ve rebalanced the Easy mode (like, a lot, so it should be much easier to play) as well as the Normal mode. Now, here’s a question for you. Tell us, how are these modes now? Do they feel ok, or should we tinker with them more? Tell us, as we would love to hear your thoughts. These are just some of the new additions that...A glimpse of what’s coming next to InkulinatiMar 1, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters, It’s been now a good solid few weeks since Inkulinati came out. In the last month or so we’ve been collecting all your feedback while also working on all new content. Curious to know what’s coming? Follow us in that case! First up, we have a new Army of Beasts joining the Inkulinati Bestiary. Giving you all the details of who is coming would be one heck of a spoiler. Yet giving you nothing would be a bit cruel. So, how about a happy medium? Seems fair? Nice! In that case, we can reveal that the feathery-and-deadly Pigeon Beasts are coming! There will be three types - the bow, sword, and spear wielding. And as any pigeon fanatic knows, a good pigeon is a flying pigeon. And these soldiers will definitely fly. They will be joined by two other units, but we’ll leave that as a surprise for when the update goes live. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/8464ffbd0698c26feeb3f37df3aac5df87bd8de9.jpg {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/4c1efdf053c96646ec77be4762e5e93684b40bcc.jpg As every general knows, an army needs a leader. Yep, you know where we’re going with this. A new Inkulinati Master is coming. Who is he? Or who is she? What are their powers? Well, we cant reveal too much, but we can mention that this Saint loves animals. Perhaps this screenshot can give you a little clue on what to expect. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/33743037/ba325eba9b6caaafc0331cbdcb3884bdc1c29a5c.gif There are a few more surprises that we have left up our proverbial sleeve, but we’ll leave them for the actual release of the update, which is coming in the not so distant future. We can also confirm that we’re working on balancing the game, squashing bugs, and going through your suggestions and implementing those that we can. We’re also working on making Easy mode easier too, as per our Discord and Twitter poll. Before we leave, just a final word. Your feedback is what makes Inkulinati better, so please share your thoughts with us. We’re here to listen to all that you have to say. And your reviews mean the world, so if you have a minute or two to spare, leave a review on Steam now. Thanks for reading and for being the best community we could ask for! First Hotfix has arrived!Feb 3, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Inkulinati Masters! Just this week, our Early Access chapter started! We’re buzzing with excitement for our new journey and what’s up ahead. We hope you’re as excited as we are! Foremost, thank you so much for your feedback you’ve sent our way. We’ve eagerly read them and are working hard to improve your experience. Today’s hotfix is the first page in that book. Here’s what it contains: Fixed issue that make the “Next” button doesn’t work on Character Creation on the begging of the Journey mode Some Beasts were nerfed, like Donkey Bard - we increased his cost and cooldown on Farting The Pipe action, and Farting The Pipe action no longer can affect Tiny Inkulinati First tutorial run in Journey on Easy and Medium are now simpler and less overwhelming as we excluded more complicated battlefields elements and decreased number of enemy’s Beasts Easy and Medium difficulties should be easier now, as we change some parameters (more starting Gold, More Starting Ink on Easy, less Boredom gain on Medium per Beasts’ draw etc.) Important changes in Non-Battle Locations. Prestige required to unlock better dialogue options in Journey mode are now constant and don’t change from act to act. Boredom can be lowered more often and by larger values. Health can be regenerated more often and for greater amounts. To see all the changes, take a look at the changelog below. We know where we want to go and what we want to add to the game, but we also want to hear your thoughts as well!
