We're very sorry we took so long to figure out a solution that was so obvious to a problem that frustrated many. If your screen's dimensions are too small to complete the 99x50 (or any other) achievement, you can now select the achievement branch in Steam and get the latest build which will complete any achievement of a size greater than the one you're doing if the one you're doing is the biggest you have available. This version, however, is VERY untested. The old engine is/was, well, to be frank, a bit of a mess (and this is why you should switch to the newer, shinier, faster, with picture, zoom, etc. InfiniPicross 2.0 :happy_creep: ) and, because of that, it might have issues with the new dev environment, the new java environment, the new packaging method, etc. so only use this version if a) you need the achievement(s) or b) you're aware of the possible issues and want to take a chance on it. Again, very, very sorry to have taken so long to solve such a fundamental issue. While we spent most of last year working on another project, we kept our attention on the feedback and reviews we were getting as well as thinking about how we could improve InfiniPicross. Some of the things we wanted to change were so fundamental that we ended up concluding that it would need an entire engine rewrite and thus, we shelved the ideas for later... Until late last fall! We decided that we wanted to offer a complete Picross experience before moving to other projects and, well, rewrote it all from scratch. Thank you for your patience! We're sorry for the delay, especially since this push may help a few people have a drastically faster launch (hopefully). However, some bugs that could have affected other users kept cropping up and we did not want to just shift the pain. Again, terribly sorry about this. Now, on to the news. First off, we have another Greenlight project: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=895784506 "But why do another Greenlight project when this game isn't even complete?" A perfectly valid question! Honestly, if it wasn't for Direct, we would have waited. As things are, we hope to get at least that second game in before the change comes in. Hopefully, this will also be in the vein of games you enjoy. But enough self-promotion. What changed other than possibly a bug fix? Well, the Workshop, for one. You can now upload and download new theme to and from the Workshop. Upload them from within the Theme editor from the game and Subscribe from Steam. Let us know how it goes! Furthermore, the Tutorial. Nothing fancy here but, hopefully, it'll get everyone to a playable level quickly. I'm sure some of you are wondering about the Achievements? Well... Sorry :( They are coming, most likely in a day or two. We needed other features that will grant you achievements in before implementing them to avoid someone 100% the game and then going back to, say, 75%. We know it's a very sought after features, we heard you and it IS coming very very soon. Another two features that have not yet made the list are the further customization of games (coming soon(tm) ) and the gamepad (as soon as we figure out how to do so rationally). Now, since this is something that needs to be configured with each theme, we have it disabled by default. Please let us know if you'd rather we do our best to add sensible ones to the existing themes or if you want to modify your favorite theme yourself. -Cloud save : You have two computers, you like to have the music but no sound, you play in French and made your own theme with custom icons and custom colors. You get on another computer and everything is gone! Well, not anymore! All non local settings and Themes are saved to the cloud, assuming you have it turned on. Sorry for the delay in adding features, it's frustratring for us as well, but we really want to have no bug first if at all possible. Which is great! I'll take too much over too little any day. Now that we are slowly catching up on launch bugs, we get to listen to suggestions, interact more with you guys and think of new possibilities. The astute among you may have noticed a little steam pop-up window in the bottom right corner of the latest version indicating our SDK integration. So where are we going from here? -Cloud Save: What's better than setting your preference and having your computer remember it? Having those remembered across multiple setups (albeit taking into account local changes) and keeping those in case of reinstallation. *Coming(tm)* -More game configurations: Having multiple types of generated puzzles as well skipping further on a seed are two incoming addition! -Tutorial: Yeah... Why didn't we start with one? -Key rebinding and Controller support: Not only logical and good addition, they go well with the tutorial and cloud save. Soon-ish as well. Workshop: Why would a randomly generating Picross game need a workshop? For the glory of S***n, of course! No, but, seriously, more themes, more icons, maybe even sounds and music and controller schemes. Let's have it all! Not as soon-ish as the one aboves, but still in the foreseeable future!
