Update v12.3 (June 9) - Weekly Community Boss Challenge!Jun 8, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: Community Weekly Boss Event! Team up with 50 other players to take down as many of this Ultra Boss as possible, and claim epic rewards at the end of each week! New upgrades in the Tournament and Weekly Ticket menus. Several new QoL Automation Workshops and Function settings, such as instant hero levels after prestige, toggles for the Ultimus spawn wave and boss type, etc. New end-game challenges with epic rewards in the Missions > Challenges menu. Added an achievement for Supreme Shadow kills (this is a newly tracked stat, so you're all starting at 0 kills). Changes: Increased weekly ticket earnings in the weekly premium Promo Packs (to scale with the new ticket income from the weekly boss). Improved the Rune Packs in the store (bought with gems or $) to scale better and include Supreme Runes I and II when they are unlocked. Changed the F2P Battlepass reward for level 75+ from +15 runes to -75% Shadow/Alien HP reduction. Only Supreme I runes will be rewarded from Supreme Shadows killed between waves 10k and 20k. After wave 20k, there is a 50/50 chance that the runes rewarded will be Supreme I or II. Reduced the energy cost of unlocking Supreme heroes. Increased the Auto Boss function activation time (it was OP). Reduced Auto Boss bonus gold/exp from 15% to 10% per level. Increased the Auto Trainers function activation time. Increased the Auto Shadow function activation time (to encourage more manual spawns). Changed Auto Shadow bonus runes from +1 to +5% per level (slight nerf). Removed the "multiple devices detected" warning, since it was often incorrect. Improved the Discord advertisement for new players to make joining our awesome community more attractive. Bug Fixes: Fixed bugs related to pausing during auto-prestige. Fixed various bugs related to synergies and skills while dragging and dropping heroes. Update v12.23 (May 1) - New Upgrades, Supreme Rune Changes, and Bug FixesApr 30, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: 15 New Supreme Runes available after passing wave 20k. New Tournament menu upgrades to skip enemy HP increases after a completed wave and to increase the Supreme Shadow spawn chance. New Weekly Ticket menu upgrades to gain free hero levels after a completed wave and to increase the chance for 2x Supreme Runes drop from the Supreme Shadow boss. General Changes: Changed the color of the Ancient Shadow boss to better match the color of runes that he rewards. Changed the name of "Mini Shadow" to "Supreme Shadow" to better match his Supreme Runes reward. Capped Progressive Exp Supreme Runes at level 999. New powerful late game rank exp sources will be introduced in a later update. Added more Tournament Tiers after wave 30k, spaced out every 5k waves. Supreme Boss/Runes/Shards Changes: The Supreme Shards resource was completely removed. This was a useless and redundant middleman resource since it could only be used on one item. Any remaining Supreme Shards you had were automatically converted to the max affordable Supreme Runes. The Supreme Shadow boss now drops Supreme Runes upon death, just like the Ancient Shadow drops normal runes. It is more consistent and streamlined this way. The spawn rate of Supreme Shadows was significantly reduced, since every single kill now gives you a Supreme Rune (whereas it previously took dozens of kills to get one rune). The Technology upgrade that previously increased Supreme Shards drop was changed to increase the Supreme Boss spawn chance. For those of you who just reached wave 10k and unlocked Supreme Runes, you will get a significant bonus spawn rate on your first 100 Supreme Shadows to make up for the fact that your first few Supreme Runes were much cheaper back when the Shards resource was used. Automation workshops related to the Supreme Shadow were rebalanced (higher costs and cooldowns, and lower max levels) to maintain balance with all these other changes. If you were previously above the new max levels, you will be automatically set back to the new max. You may think this is unfair and you wasted time/resources, but actually it balances out because everyone else now has a much higher cost and upgrade time to deal with, whereas you are already done with the cheaper/shorter times (even if you went over the new max). In conclusion, this is a net positive change for everyone. The new formula should allow you to earn Supreme Runes nearly twice as fast as you previously did with the Shards resource. QoL Improvements: Boss rush no longer automatically turns off when you fail a wave. Removed notification spam from extra boss spawns. This notification will now appear over the boss on the map when he spawns. Massive performance improvements. Bug Fixes: Fixed memory leak causing enemies to become unkillable or stop spawning. Various other minor bug fixes and UI corrections. Update v12.1 (April 19) - Future Proofing and Bug FixesApr 19, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsApologies for the chaos around the past couple patches. There were some major changes around save data formats, data type changes, anti-cheat detectors, and many more complex things behind the scenes. A number of unexpected errors resulted from these complicated changes, which were causing loading issues, rollbacks of data, false-positive ban warnings, and more. Thankfully, I believe I've finally ironed out the last of the remaining bugs, and everything should be smooth and back to normal from now on. Thank you for your patience through this little rough patch! You don't have to worry if this triggered for you - your account wasn't actually flagged as a cheater or banned. It was a totally invalid trigger that you can ignore. I am really sorry about this inconvenient bug! It had to do with the new data type conversions that the last update introduced. Everything should be back to normal now. Patch v11.71 (April 5)Apr 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsChanges: The auto-prestige function will only work when you’re at a minimum of 20% of your highest wave (not just the map-specific highest wave). This will ensure you're not auto-prestiging at inefficient times on maps where you have a low wave, or if you leak enemies on a low wave for some reason. Equipping a new/different spell now ends the automation idle timer. Changed automation workshop "cancel" buttons to "pause". QoL Improvements: Click a function or workshop upgrade to show the max level and other useful information. If you log out/in to switch accounts via the settings menu, you'll be able to skip the tutorial instead of being forced to play through it again. Improved loading time of the leaderboards. Increased security around the leaderboards to keep cheaters off of it. TONS of improved anti-cheat and auto-ban logic. Good luck cheaters ;). Bug Fixes: Fixed visual bug where the auto-prestige function would cause negative waves passed to show in the battery saver screen. Fixed bug where canceling a workshop upgrade immediately after purchasing it would require you to purchase it again, rather than let you continue it for free. Major Automation UpdateMar 30, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: Automation! This new mechanic unlocks at wave 2,000 and will make your game experience much more "idle". It allows you to automate various functions in the game, such as leveling heroes, prestiging, claiming wave perks, spawning bosses, and much more! Added two expensive end-game upgrades for Rank Exp (%) and Energy Income in the Prestige upgrade menu for a new Prestige resource sink. QoL Improvements: Added a reminder to the Prestige confirmation box if an Ultimus boss is available to spawn. Improved the battery saver screen with tons of extra data. Removed the "enemy shields changed" notification spam until you are within the top 5% of your highest wave on the current map. You can now close the video ad (active play) menu by clicking outside of it, like all other menus. Tons of new anti-cheat and auto-ban logic. Bug Fixes: Fixed a rare situation where waves stop spawning / enemies become unkillable. Various other minor bug and UI fixes. Patch v11.61 (February 27)Feb 27, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsChanges: Backend and data changes to support the big upcoming "Automation" update (nothing noticeable on your end, though). QoL Improvements: Added additional cloud save information in the settings menu to help you identify when the last server sync occurred, and prevent you from losing data when switching devices. Bug Fixes: Fixed bug where a player's favorite hero and map stats were not tracking correctly in the public leaderboards data (you can view this data by clicking on a player's name in the leaderboards). These stats should now increase correctly for everyone, but the fix was not retroactive, so the stats will only be correct from now moving forwards. Fixed rare bug that would sometimes send players into negative gold when leveling up heroes. Fixed various other minor bugs and data inconsistencies. Update v11.6 (February 13)Feb 12, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: Tier 2-3 Spells: Spells can now be upgraded to level 25, and new tier mechanics are unlocked at levels 15 and 20. The new tiers significantly boost each spell's power, keeping them relevant at all stages of the game. Changes: Replaced the Tournament menu's "Max Spell Level" upgrade with "Spell Duration" (your levels carry over, so you don't lose any resources). Having an upgrade increase the max level of something in a different menu was a bit weird, complicated, and not very user friendly. Now, everyone's spells can reach the new max level of 25 without any need for additional upgrades outside of the spells menu. Increased the max level of the "Spell Duration" upgrade in the Tournament menu from 5 to 7. QoL Improvements: Added a confirmation panel to the wave perk reroll button (only when it costs gems - not free rerolls). Added settings to only show more specific combat texts (super/ultra procs). When opening the Battlepass menu, it will automatically scroll to the highest claimable reward. Bug Fixes: Fixed a few bugs related to Attribute Presets. Various other minor bug and UI fixes. These allow you to set up different Attribute levels for your heroes, and quickly switch between them for maximum efficiency. Pay gems to reroll wave perks. The gem cost increases after each reroll you use, but resets on each new prestige run. New Technology upgrades for free wave perk rerolls and Mini Shadow Supreme Shards. QoL Improvements: Preview your hero presets on other maps by selecting the relevant button at the bottom of the presets menu. Bug Fixes: Various minor bug and UI fixes. Patch v11.47 (January 16)Jan 16, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: Added new synergy bonus upgrades to the Research and Technology upgrade menus. Added Tier 26 (wave 30k+) and Tier 27 (wave 32k+) tournament brackets. Changes: Removed the synergy bonus map perk on Desert. As synergy effects became more and more powerful in recent updates, this map perk became so out of balance and made all other maps irrelevant. Instead, a more powerful synergy bonus is now available through the Research and Technology upgrade menus, which effects all maps equally. Therefore, this change is actually a huge buff - the effect is just achieved differently. Added extra Training Dummy spawns as a map perk on Desert (replaced the synergy bonus map perk). This should be seen as a huge buff, because now you can consistently get extra Dummy spawns beginning from wave 1 and without relying on RNG from wave perks. With high enough map perk upgrades, you can still achieve +2 Dummy spawns. Removed the extra Training Dummy spawns wave perk. Instead, you can now get extra Training Dummy spawns consistently by playing the Desert map. Added bonus Ultimus Tokens to the potential wave perks pool (replaced the extra Training Dummy spawns wave perk). Increased the max level of Map Perk upgrades in the Ultimus and Supreme Runes menus. Buffed the "Tycoon" combat style with higher kill gold % and an additional global range bonus. Changed the last few level milestones on Militia, Warlock, and Captain to include Ultra Energy Chance. QoL Improvements: When killing the Training Dummy, the new rank notifications will show the sum of all ranks gained for each hero, rather than just the last few, providing you much more useful information about the total gains. Added a 10k level mult option in the Research upgrade menu. Added more stats to the Stats menu, as well as a global breakdown of Combat Style bonuses. Patch v11.46 (December 28)Dec 28, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: Added more Battlepass rewards up to level 75, with new rewards such as Weekly Tickets, Ultimus Tokens, and Supreme Runes (if you are at a high enough wave for them to be unlocked). Also increased the runes/gems repeat rewards after level 75, due to the higher level requirement. Changes: Added a scaling rank requirement to the progressive exp upgrade in global hero attributes (you can upgrade 1 level per 20 ranks). This is meant to help spread out this powerful upgrade over time, and have it scale and always be meaningful as you continue to progress. If you previously leveled over the new rank requirement, your levels will be set back and you will automatically be refunded the attribute points spent on them. Buffed the energy income earned from purchasing leaderboard icons with gems. Buffed the kill exp earned from purchasing leaderboard icons with prestige power. Buffed tycoon style ultra gold amount from 10% to 12%. Patch v11.45 (December 24)Dec 24, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsThis patch reverses most of the nerfs from yesterday's v11.4 update. I miscalculated some things, and those nerfs hit players at a certain stage of the game way harder than I intended. Sorry about that! These changes should bring your overall power back close to where it was before yesterday's update, as well as significantly increase your exp gains to help you reach those new synergies and attributes quicker! Changes: Buffed commander combat style from 3% to 4% synergy bonus. Buffed most of the earlier synergies back close to where they were pre-nerf (some are still slightly lower because I still believe they were too OP before and caused a snowball effect, hurting the later game balance). But they are at least very close to where they were before the last update. Buffed most of the level milestones. Some are even a lot higher than what they were before the last update, especially gold and crit dmg. Buffed Rank Exp I in the weekly tickets menu from +1 to +3 exp per level. Changed Rank Exp II in the weekly tickets menu from +40 exp to +1% exp per level (providing a significantly larger boost for most people). Changed Rank Exp II in the hero attributes menu from +2 exp per level to +1 "Progressive Rank Exp" per level, which very quickly becomes insanely more powerful than the old value. Added a minimize button to the new Premium Battlepass/Daily Gifts microtransaction pop up. Update v11.4 (December 23)Dec 22, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: New level milestones at levels 5000 and 6000. New synergies at ranks 500, 1000, and 1500. New combat styles at ranks 750 and 1250. Changes: Rebalanced several synergy bonuses. Some were getting out of control and ruining the balance of other upgrades throughout the game. Some were nerfed, some were buffed. Slightly reduced the synergy bonus in the "Commander" combat style. QoL Improvements: Added 2 more hero preset slots. You can now "stockpile" the repeatable battlepass rewards at level 61+, so that you never miss one if you gain multiple levels without claiming the reward. Click a synergy in the selected hero menu to minimize it and reduce scrolling. Added more accurate details to the progressive rank exp info text. When playing on 1x game speed, the wave perk game speed effect will also be disabled. Bug Fixes: Various minor bug and UI fixes. Update v11.34 (December 17)Dec 17, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsChanges: The Supreme Rank Exp Rune was changed to "Progressive Rank Exp". The exp now increases with each new rune you discover. For example, rune #1 gives +10 exp, rune #2 gives +12 exp, rune #3 gives +14 exp … rune #25 gives +58 exp … etc. This way it scales better with your progress to always be useful. The Rank Exp upgrade in the Gems menu was also changed to "Progressive Rank Exp" to make it more worth the gem cost in mid/late game. To prevent it from being too OP too early in the game, it is wave locked at certain thresholds. Buffed all energy skills and spells to use a percentage of energy income to calculate their effects, which is much higher than the original flat amounts by mid/late game. The flat amounts also remained to remain relevant for early game players. This may require another buff in the future, but it is at least better than before. Achieving more than 100% super gold chance now overflows into bonus super gold amount (+5% amount for every 1% chance over 100%). Now all super chances (crit, gold, exp, and energy) work this way with overflow chance over 100%. Offline progress now includes your average crit chance and damage (including super and ultra) in the DPS calculation to determine the max wave you can reach while offline. Bug Fixes: Veteran’s skill now correctly adds Super Exp Amount when it pushes the Super Exp Chance over 100%. Various minor bug and UI fixes. Update v11.33 (December 9)Dec 8, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsNew Content: More Attributes: Added several new mid-late game Rank Attributes to heroes (both personal and global). Heroes who are rank 450+ will get a free attribute respec to make use of these new upgrades. Changes: Removed the max level cap on Rank Exp II global attribute (previously maxed at level 25). Achieving more than 100% super exp/energy chance now converts each 1% chance over 100% into 5% super exp/energy amount (same way that critical hit chance overflow works). Permanent super/ultra energy upgrades now affect the energy gains from the Power Mage ultra boss (only permanent upgrades you spent resources to unlock - not synergies or map perks). This can potentially increase this boss's energy rewards by A LOT for some players. Map Perks and Wave Perks no longer affect rewards or resource packs (Resource Packs, Rune Packs, Battlepass Rewards, Daily Gift Rewards, etc). These perks are temporary and are too RNG-based and inconsistent to be fairly calculated into these reward packs. Some player's rewards may slightly decrease due to this change. Scaled down prestige daily task requirements for mid/late game players. It was very tedious and time consuming to do 10 prestiges per day at a very high wave. QoL Improvements: Added a "Reward Scaling" section in the stats menu that shows your current and best tracked hourly stats (excluding all temporary effects). This will help you determine if you’re nearing a new record value, which would increase all your rewards from Resource Packs, Battlepass, and Daily Gifts. Made the Wave Perk bar slightly bigger and more noticeable when a new perk is available to claim. The game will now auto-claim all of your available remaining Battlepass rewards right before the monthly reset, so nothing will be lost. If the "hide maxed upgrades" toggle is selected in a menu, it will also hide the headers of all fully maxed sections of upgrades. Bug Fixes: Fixed some inconsistencies with how map perks, wave perks, and events were affecting the stats menu. Now, all of these bonuses are included in the stats menu calculations, whereas previously some stats included them, and others did not. Removed hotkey texts from mobile platforms. Various minor bug and UI fixes.
