Prime Hunts and collaborationsJun 30, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHello Stalkers! Hunt the Night is on sale for a limited time and a lot of new free content will arrive soon to the game! Tell your friends and let’s hunt the Night together! First, let’s talk a bit about the Prime Hunt system, a great challenge for the greatest Stalkers of Medhram! What are the ‘Prime Hunts’ and how do they work? There will be a new option available in the main menu: Prime Hunts, which includes bosses, records, and times of the best players. Once selected, you will be able to choose the boss, previously defeated in story mode, that you want to face. These bosses have more health, more damage, and new attack patterns. https://i.ibb.co/gDXQBgL/tablas0.png After accepting a Prime Hunt in the Main Menu, Vesper will be inside a Lobby, where the player will receive a limited amount of resources to create their own build to face the boss. The boss combat will be timed so the players get to compete in order to achieve the best time mark with their own build of choice. The combat will be challenging and it will adapt both the boss design and music to ‘Hunt the Night’ gameplay style. The team will be announcing the collabs one after another so you can get sneak peeks of them before release. We have some new goodies to show you. This new gameplay video gives a sneak peak at new enemies, the overworld, and the Barkley Sanitarium dungeon in Hunt the Night. The overworld opens up after the player has progressed a certain amount in the game. Vesper can explore freely while battling monsters, entering houses for loot or clues, use save points to replenish HP, bullets and magic, as well as teleport to key locations throughout the world of Medhram. The video also showcases one of the first dungeons players must overcome after reaching the overworld – the Barkley Sanitarium, where she must survive hideous monster encounters and solve puzzles in order to find a key item leading to the next location. Hunt the Night features fast-paced gameplay with multiple long-range and short-range weapons, and the player must also gather clues and items to proceed both inside dungeons, as well as in the overworld to access new areas and proceed. And a few months later on consoles. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40713724/854c948e7df16ecd289579319340f28dca6817b9.png FEEDBACK ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION During the last demo we summarized and analyzed all the feedback received and tried to implement the most demanded features. As we always say, our priority is to deliver the best possible version of HTN, and that could only be possible with your feedback. This has lead to several improvements and HtN gameplay has been greatly improved regarding Vesper control and combat imput. Here's a summary of our progress after the last demo trial on Steam: -New controls for keyboard/mouse based on feedback, now you can play using the mouse to choose where you want to hit. -Improved the combat system. Now all of the combos of each weapon can be 'skipped' with a dash from a specific frame. -Improved the operation of the combos in general according to the improvement of the combat system. -Completely redesigned the options menu and implementation of new options based on feedback: Resolution, hide warning of low health and brightness, among other HUD improvements. -We have unified the entire graphical interface of the game according to the redesign of the options menu. -Improved the main menu to be more consistent with the game art. -Complete new implementation of the save system: Implementation of save slots. There are up to five save slots operational. -Fixed several inventory bugs. -Implementation of recolors for every weapon and combat suit. NEW GAME MODES: NEW GAME +AND NIGHTMARE MODE {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40713724/d76661a5988493c454232f32885e63fa1992424a.png New game + will allow players to complete the game in a higher difficulty from the very beginning. Both enemies and bosses will have extra health and cause more damage. This mode will be unlocked after completing the regular game mode. Nightmare mode will be unlocked after the first playthrough too, but the challenge will be much higher. Enemies and bosses will insta kill Vesper when damaging her and will also have extra health, like in the New game + mode. NEW GAME MODE: PRIME HUNTS {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40713724/96f74dcbe0c8547328e1754025035844d6616172.png One of the most common feedback that we have was that the Prime hunt mode was really fun. The prime hunt mode was created as a test to check if there was interest on it, that's why was available during the demo. As a reminder, the Prime hunt mode is a special feature that allows you to hunt already beated bosses during the game, but they will present a more demanding challenge. You will have a limit amount of resources to create your build (by buying equipment and dark powers from the vendor) or the build you consider best to hunt that particular boss. The hunt will be timed and your best time for each boss will be desplayed in the Prime Hunt menu. Check the link below for viewing details. https://www.pcgamingshow.com/ Thanks again to PC Gamer and all of our supporters!HUNT THE NIGHT DEMO V1.1 PATCH NOTESSep 30, 2021 - Community Announcements- Added a new screen suggesting the use of Controller and headphones. - Fixed text display duration during the Game intro, as they were displayed too fast. - General gameplay balancing regarding some rooms and enemies. - Modified the default Mouse+Keyboard controls to make them more intuitive. - Improved the aim system when using Mouse+keyboard controls. - Modified the sprite and effects of the Dark Barriers that appear during several parts of the game, including combat zones and bosses. - The animation and damage of both Hunting Spear and Lacerators have been changed. They were underperforming compared Sword and Greatsword and the hitbox wasn't working as intended. Animations were altered in order to fit the new gameplay style better. - Added a new interaction system. Now a '!' symbol will be displayed when the player is near interactive objects. Furthermore, we improved the collision and interacion zones to make it easier to interact when near them. - Added extra information regarding 'Crow Feathers'. We specified that they are important to solve puzzles too, as we believe this use wasn't clear enough in the previous version. Also, now key words to solve particular puzzles will be displayed in a different color. - Changed the 'Crow Shinre' (Save points) sprite. Sometimes it wasn't visible enough and it is very important regarding gameplay, as it saves your progress and refill your health, bullets and Crimson Roses. Now it will be a predominant asset when placed in an area. - Some of the 'Devourer' and 'Prime Devourer' hitboxes have been modified and adjusted to better suit the animation. - Modified several 'Prime Devourer' animations to make them more visible. - Modified the 'Marauders' (Invisible enemies) location to avoid players losing focus just before starting the Statue's puzzle. - Added and modified several in game sounds. - Fixed an issue regarding HUD player warning when heal was low. - The 'Prime Hunt' lobby display has been changed. Now the chest with the Noctilium is placed near to the vendor, so it is easy to get the currency, buy the items, equip them and fight the boss.
