910.A Update/PatchApr 26, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsPatch Notes 910.A This small update brings fixes and improvements from the lastest major update and some QOL changes, enjoy! Server owners: Only a restart is required to pull the latest server update. Fixed players losing skills, levels, XP and stats when leaving game/server via a crash or disonnect inside a vehicle. Fix for random client disconnect from servers. Fixed new base building torch not saving. Changes to Human AI (Bandits) spawn a box on death like the player for looting this is a big performance saving and Fps boost for clients and server. Improvements to basebuilding snapping, colliding, placing of walls and items and further improvements to hiding built roofs. Fixed chainsaw breaking at 0% now it just needs charging with a power tool battery to work again. Chainsaw sound contuning has been fixed. Fixed Chainsaw animation sliding while cutting trees. Fixed ctrl+click not working in log container. QOL improvements to the settings menu so players can change movement and camera options much easier. Improvements to roads and texture blending. Fixed issue with settings resettings to low quality on clicking apply. New Loading screen tips to also help show that the map is loading and not crashed. Changes made to backpack names the adventure backpack and hiking backpack have switched names. Fixes to some house roofs missing the weather material to show snow etc. Fatty toxic zeek HP increased. Fixed car siphon/empty bug. Backpack spawners are now affected by loot rarity settings. Removed 1x broken mining rock from the map. Fixed some houses not allowing zeeks to enter through door ways. Fixed broken collision on stop sign. It's been 6 weeks since our last update and 910 comes with some big changes to base building adding a brand new upgrade system and a new item in the way of a legendary zombie weapon - the good old Chainsaw. Localization Update: There will be missing translation with this update 910 as we are in the middle of finishing our quest system update so all translation and localization for all languages will be included in the 911 update. Welcome to our first-ever experimental branch. That's right, you can experience upcoming patches with new content, bug fixes, QOL improvements, and more before it goes live in its finished state. Think of this branch as a beta test for upcoming patches. This way players who want to be even more involved with the development of the game can provide us feedback on our new additions, giving us a better update when we launch it for the public. Each experimental branch will be up for about 1-2 weeks before the patch goes officially live. While it's live, we would love for players to provide us feedback on our Discord or our Steam Forum Discussion. We are at the stage now where we are making some big changes to the game, so we think it's best that you the player base get to give us feedback early. This way if we make a big change that everyone hates, it gives us time to correct and improve what we think is a good idea. Dismantling the base gate will have a 50% chance of getting your lock back. Lowered HP of all simple traps so they can be destroyed easier. In world item spawners now have a respawn option and timer. With the launch of the Violent Night Update, there were some things done to help the game to account for higher player counts, some of which have had a slight impact on the performance of lower numbers for player-hosted games so we have fixed issues to give those affected a better overall experience. We have also addressed some other issues that came up late in testing and were found by you the player. We could not fix everything that's been logged over the last few days, but we have a nice list ready for the New Years patch so thanks for everyone reaching out about the game. Again we thank you all for the support and passion you are showing for HumanitZ. It helps drive us every day so thank you. We have sooo much awesome stuff coming in 2024 we can't wait to get it out there! Dedicated server info: All official servers will be receiving the latest patch at the time of the update so please allow for 30 minutes before joining any online servers while the update finishes. All private owners of a server will also need to restart their servers to receive the latest patch. Have a great Christmas and New Year Big Love HumanitZ Team What this patch includes: Smoother looking player movement for local hosted clients. Fixes for teleporting Zombies. Zeeks now react to vehicle sound on dedicated servers. Fixes for the dog companion (Health regens when fed, fixes for on player death and the dog finding the player). New “Heel” command for the dog to keep him by your side. Mine moved from the build menu to crafting at the workbench (so it can then be placed). Tracers added to help with gun fire direction. Windows OS private server files now available via SteamCMD from the Default Branch.
