A RESPECTFUL SEND OFF We want to give everyone, old and new, a chance to go crazy with all the guns, items and vehicles HnG 1 has to offer. The only way to give a proper farewell is through a gold rush! On May 2nd 2023 ~10AM CEST all player accounts will have UNLIMITED gold until the servers shutdown. During the ‘Gold Rush’ each account will have a limit to the maximum number of transaction requests that can be sent to the server per day and a limit to the maximum total number of Assault Teams that can be deployed or queued for deployment in a War. The Americans have been kind to us, they leased some of their armored personnel carriers to us so we can pull back from the front-lines. We can hear some gun sounds in the far distance, we have not seen any action just yet. We have set up camp at the foot of a mountain, just next to a small town. According to command, the Allied forces have a camp of their own nearby. This village has little tactical importance and both the enemy and our own forces are small in numbers. Making it the perfect area to hold a little demonstration. We have received some fresh looking weapons in need of testing on a real battlefield. Let’s hope they perform as well as promised. So the factories have started working on new engines? That is great to hear, hopefully those beasts will help with our performance on the front. So far all is quiet out here, our general has positioned us in a small mountain pass. There is an abandoned village nearby. We found some good supplies they had left behind, the bicycles are in decent shape and make moving around much easier. Don’t use up any gas either! Yesterday we went on a scouting mission in the mountains. I managed to take a picture of the valley next to our camp. It sure is beautiful here. Staying so far from the active fronts, where we can’t even hear the explosions anymore, it almost makes you forget there is a war going on. The next season is coming up and with that a brand new feature. Starting the release of Season 3, we will have a team of voluntary chat moderators who will help keep the chats civil and clean. Find out who they are, what they do and what it means for you! Why Moderators? Our support team received quite a few reports of players being rude or using very foul words toward other users. We want players to have fun and play in a friendly atmosphere. Now this is a war game and we do not ask players to completely stop using foul language. But we do want to find a middle ground, where people can speak their minds while at the same time keeping an atmosphere everyone feels comfortable in. Can they ban me? I think this is the main question many people are asking: Does a moderator have the ability to ban a player? The answer is very simple, NO. Chat moderators cannot ban players from playing the game. At the moment (it could be expended in the future, though there are no concrete plans) all they can do, is mute players from the chat. What will they moderate? Moderators can moderate all channels, except for private messages. The main focus of the moderators will be the public chats: GlobalChat, PlayersHelp and Faction chats. Unlike normal accounts, moderators have standard access to all three faction chats at the same time. Moderators can also take action when they see misbehavior in the action games. Moderator instructions Moderators have been instructed to ask players to stop their behavior first before taking action, depending on the severity of the rules broken. If they feel a line has been crossed, they will inform the users to change the topic or to watch their language. We expect players to follow these instructions and not go into an argument with the moderation team. What is or isn’t allowed? The Rules of Conduct will be the main guidelines. Moderators are always allowed to follow the RoC to the letter, however depending on which chat a certain offense has been made, we are more lenient than in other channels. In the PlayersHelp chat, we will be specifically strict, this channel is meant to ask questions and for other users to answer them. Everything else is seen as off-topic and not allowed. In the GlobalChats, you can talk about the game, but also about unrelated things. You can talk about the weather, your pets or other light topics. Politics and NSFW content are however not allowed. Swearing is technically not allowed, but a swear word here or there will not immediately lead to a mute. We give the moderators free reigns on where they draw the line. Faction chats will be English only, players can of course create their own channels to create rooms for people who speak their languages. The Global chats are available in a wide variety of languages already. We expect players to use the Faction chats to talk about the game.
