Fixes Stamina now replenished properly Exhausted buff is now applied when it should be Tanning Frame now highlights when moused over Eating food no longer resets hunger/thirst Improvements to runtime map loading (about 25% increase in load-time) Info Panels (Inventory and Crafting) have been given the proper font The Map no longer intermittently fails to load tiles Changes / Additions Buff timers no longer display over the moodlet. Instead the time is displayed when hovered over. Health and Stamina buffs now display the players percentage of health and stamina when hovered over Recipes requiring a crafting station now only appear when the crafting station is clicked on Clicking on a crafting station will only show the recipes that can be crafted at it Large trees now become stumps when they are chopped. Stumps are a crafting station (hint hint, you'll need to use them to make boards now) Stumps can be removed by attacking them More detailed error info for hosts Changed the way logs are written and saved on the server0.9.22.5Mar 27, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHey everyone! Here's another quick patch! Additions Added buff moodlets for health Bruised: When health is below 80% they become bruised Beaten: When health is below 50% they become beaten Battered: When health is below 20% they become battered Added buff moodlets for stamina Winded: When stamina runs below 75% they become winded and suffer a 5% movement penalty. This buff is removed when stamina reaches 100% Tired: When stamina reaches 40% they become tired and suffer a 10% movement penalty. This buff becomes a Winded buff when stamina reaches 50% Exhausted: When stamina reaches 0% they become exhausted and can no longer run and suffer a 15% movement penalty. This lasts for 60 seconds. When this buff expires, it becomes a Tired buff, resets stamina to 10%, and stamina will begin to recover again Fixes Beds now have mattresses on them Can no longer attempt to drink from a fresh water tile while already drinking Fixed an instance where the player would receive multiple "You do not need to drink" messages Inventory related messages have been made more specific Several item duplication issues have been resolved Dragging items from burner outputs has been resolved0.9.22.4Mar 23, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHey there! Yesterdays update introduced a few game breaking bugs. This patch resolves a few of the most major issues. Huge shoutout to you guys, the community for finding these issues! Being a solo developer I don't have a lot of time to test every single thing before a build goes live! Enjoy! Fixes Hunger and Thirst debuff times balanced: 5 minutes for hunger/thirst, 90 seconds for starvation/dehydration The chat input no longer locks input and works as expected The map now loads properly Containers can now be filled with liquids (water, beer, wine, etc) Single Player save files can now be deleted from the Main Menu Items picked up individually from the ground no longer create a new stack of 2 items in the inventory As always, you can support development by purchasing the game for yourself and friends, and support me on Patreon!0.9.22.3Mar 22, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsHey, everyone! Thank you for your patience for this update. As a solo indie developer it takes a lot of time to work on this passion project. This update took a long time because I needed to completely rework a lot of the game startup and savefiles, as well as some minor optimizations with the game loop itself. Additions New Title Screen and Main Menu selections Sandbox Game Mode: No guidance. Your only goal is survival New Multiplayer server setup (Only Sandbox Mode to be supported initially) Join IP directly Public Server Listing Wading through water now delays movement depending on the depth Added a Buff mechanic. Characters can now have buffs and debuffs applied to them which will result in different net benefits or handicaps. Hunger Buff added: Being Hungry results in faster Adrenaline loss and slower Adrenaline regen. If the hunger buff is not addressed by eating food and left to expire, then it becomes a “Starving Buff” Starving Buff added: No adrenaline or stamina regen, Defense ignored in damage calculations. Cannot work. If the Starvation buff is not addressed and left to expire, the play dies. Thirst Buff added: Being Thirsty results in Stamina not regenerating. If the Thirst buff is not addressed by drinking fresh water and left to expire, it becomes a dehydrated buff. Dehydrated buff added: No adrenaline regen. cannot sprint. No stamina regen. Attack speed halved. Cannot work. If dehydration is not addressed by drinking fresh water and left to expire, the player dies. Bleeding Buff added: 3 levels of bleeding buffs, each with different timers. If a player receives another bleeding buff of the same type the timer loses 30 seconds or 50% of the remaining time, whichever is less. If a bleeding buff expires without being addressed by using a bandage the player dies. Rested Buff added: Being Rested results in 50% less Stamina loss from sprinting and faster work speed Health/wound buffs added: health is now conveyed with a buff moodlet. When health drops below 90% the player gets a Bruised buff, when health is below 60% the bruised buff becomes a beaten buff, at 20% it becomes a battered buff. if health reaches 0, the player dies. Health buffs have no timer Health is now restored only by using the resting mechanic. Fixes Crossbows and Bolts removed (they will be added back in later, with proper functionality) Damage and distance based off length of time of the pull Can no longer "Machine Gun" archery Drinking water now functions the same as all other actions (can be cancelled, will continue until thirst is 0) Slight improvements to world startup time Major improvements to Application startup time Roofs now load properly ...0.9.21May 29, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsHello Hazlings! It's been in the works for quite some time, but being a solo developer working on this part time, it also means that when life gets busy I don't have as much time to work on the game as I would like! Additions Added keyboard Combat Control Refined Archery: Increased range of bows and crossbows, added a more intuitive ui for archery Bows and Crossbows no longer automatically release after a period of time. Archery now uses Adrenaline. When Adrenaline reaches 0, they become very difficult to aim Bug Fixes Mounts now load their harness overlays in properly Storage Containers (Chests and Carts) now properly save their contents Counters no longer delete each other Bookshelves and Chests now keep their pixel offsets when they load All windows now highlight properly when moused over Tweaks to animal's combat stats (This should make them slightly easier to fight, especially with better equipment) Happy Roleplaying!Hazordhu's First Update!Apr 24, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsI'm really happy to share Hazordhu's first update with everyone! The last month has been a wild ride, and I want to say a very special thank you to everyone who has supported the game so far, especially the active community and loyal bug hunters! You guys Rock! Before I throw the list of changes at you, I want to take a moment to mention the Discord, Website and Patreon page. The Discord is the best place to stay connected with the rest of the community, and if you're interested in the Development side of things, or just want some conversation or need some live help with something, I'm almost always kicking around in The Workshop voice channel there. Just look around for me, and feel free to drop a mention! The Website has a bunch of more frequent news and a forum that I use for hunting down and tracking bugs. It's also a great place to stay up to date with Development Blogs and get to know a bit more info about the game! Lastly, a lot of people don't know this, but I'm a one-man team these days, with a bit of help from the community and the loyal supporters over on Patreon I'm able to keep the lights on at home and feed the little hazlings in my home! The Update Alright, now that that's all out of the way, let's get into this newest update!! This special little update has been kicking around on the Mudhaven server for awhile while I've been eeking out some of the last bugs to be found in it. It's been in the works since Mid-March, so some of it's been getting worked on in the background since before the game had even been released. It also marks an important step forward to get to our first major update: Sea and Song. I'll keep it simple and summarize it, and anyone interested can take a gander at the exhaustive list of changes below. TL;DR: Lot's of bugs were fixed and a bit of balancing happened Hazordhu has its first mini-dungeon (Let me know what you think!) There is now a tutorial to show you the ropes There was a bunch of polish, a few minor tweaks to some recipes, and a few new things added. The Exhaustive List (in no particular order!): Character Creation no longer randomizes future choices (ie: appearance) if you go back to change a past choice (ie heritage) Seasons have been fixed up to display changes properly. Prepare yourselves going into Shiverstide! Bandit and Flurm spawn amounts have been lowered to make the early game a bit easier Increased Ogham Stone spawn rates Non-carnivorous animals no longer attack other animals Instrument Volume is now controlled via SFX Volume Added Hide Straps, Leather Straps, Chains and Rivets as crafting materials Added mouse-drag images The arc for blocking has been increased from 45 degrees to 180 degrees.
