(6gb) Following on from the improvements in the 1.1 update last year, 1.2 is a quality update that replaces a lot of the old enemies and AI and introduces the new ones which are more in line with the original 2 games. All new infected and aliens In our last update, the aliens were changed and had many problems and bugs. We have gone back to the more evolved original style alines which are much better suited as well as all-new infected enemies. The game now gets harder as the storyline progresses. AI Improvements Improved AI for teammates and enemies. The enemy has had more rebalancing to make the game easier at the start and get harder as you progress through the game. Teammates should be much better now when you have them. Improved VFX and weapon animations Improvements with visual effects and weapon animations make the gameplay feel much better. Lean has now been removed (e - is now default to interact/pickup) Improved UI Improved Inventory UI so all resolution types work as intended. perks have also been removed as they no longer serve a purpose. MULTIPLAYER CO-OP BETA Multiplayer team deathmatch is now being worked on and is currently not available in the new update. What has changed? Story mode improvements New story additions and parts of the ship to explore, as well as difficulty levels. A new map tool has now been added as well as a bunch of other improvements to cinematics, VFX, sound and animation. Lots of new effects and more content has been added to help build a much more atmospheric game. AI Improvements Improved AI, zombies, animations, more enemies, better SFX, new enemies, and much more. Improved VFX and weapons Laser rifles are much better, with new sounds, new FX, and better balancing. All weapons have been improved and re-balanced along with improved sound and visuals. Document/Logs overhaul Documents are now picked up and can be read in inventory while the game is paused. These logs can be read at any time by hovering over the log in the inventory menu. Improved UI and new menu background With recent improvements to the inventory menu such as item stacking, hover over info and weapons info the main menu has also Improved with a patch notes button and a new menu background which is much more appropriate than the previous background. New Map Tool An all-new and essential nav tool in Normal and Hard modes introduces the map Tool. Use this to navigate, On easy, a nav marker and distance are still relevant. More Achievements More achievements have been added as more has been added to the game and difficulty level achievements. Misc Improvements and fixes A host of fixes and improvements have been implemented in many aspects of the game and game-play. MULTIPLAYER CO-OP BETA Multiplayer team deathmatch is now replaced with a survival Co-op story 4 player beta. Following the story of the echo squad based on the ship prior to the Delta squad's arrival, you must work with friends, or really hard as a lone hero to survive the new story. The first beta may have some issues! These will be ironed out in coming updates as co-op survival mode gets fixed up and expanded. This will still be in beta for the rest of 2021. Inventory Improvements The inventory has gone through some major improvements to make it easier and quicker as well as more informative. The items now stack, and give you a number for that item. Before the items were placed in individual slots and would litter the inventory and make it very difficult to count a specific item in inventory. The I button has now been removed and items now display information when hovered over the slot. This has also been applied to weapons which all now have descriptions. ATV - Buggy Improvements The ATV has had much more work on mechanics which makes it feel much better in the game and handles much better on the terrain. The vehicle eject has also been fixed up where previously the player would be ejected from the world. New Content As a random element, the first 2 starting chapters have a new story which will make it more interesting and fun especially for those who have played the game. This is the starting base for more random story branches with new areas of the ship in the next update. Overhauled the pick-up / Interact Previously only a hand icon was visible when you could interact with items, lockers, doors, and consoles. As a lot of people were unsure of the controls this has been improved. Using gamepad or keyboard and mouse item interactions have been improved which tells the player which key to press. This improves the flow of the game, especially for new players. Remastered Infected Crew The infected crew - Zombies have a had many improvements in animation and now look much better. We have slowed some of them down and given you more to deal with. The zombie AI has had some improvements and will now improve the feel of the game as these are the first enemy you encounter. Hit effects Improvements The flashing green screen when hit by an enemy has now gone and has been replaced with a more relevant effect when having armour or not. When hit with armour you will get a gentle blue tinge depending on the amount of armour damage. More Challenging Gameplay The new random story start is more challenging than the original in some ways. Some enemies take a little more damage and some are now slower as wer balance out the gameplay and fun factor Other Improvements and Fixes The Ending is now also working with some new cinematics. The new update is 2.2gb and improves some crucial aspects of the game and also fixes a few crucial bugs which have been found in the last version. Patch Notes for version 1.0.3.2 --------------------------------- All AI has had some major improvements to animation, navigation and and are less buggy. Improved team mates - Team mates are more effective against zombies and now run away when attacked. Fixed Icarids and team mates walking through the gate on Onslaught and story mode. Fixed flamethrower issues Fix tutorial and SATS - small arms training sim were HUD would not show. You know start with the correct weapon, a CDF combat knife. Grenades no longer kill team mates Grenades no longer kill you! Improved Launch set up utility which now includes detailed quality settings before launching the game. In 2021, we move forward with hope and enthusiasm and our first update of 2021 for Ghostship Chronicles. Patch Notes V1.0.3 __________________ Tutorial The tutorial has been worked on and expanded upon. The tutorial is now much easier and more fun to play. The game now requires you to have completed the tutorial which now emphasizes the main aspects of some crucial gameplay elements much better. New additional content There is an all-new and much more relevant single player onslaught map - Yellani station! Battle a new enemy with lots more fun in a more practical and relevant scenario for an onslaught mode map. There is also a host of new infected which was tried and tested during beta testing which is now in story mode and onslaught maps. Gameplay Quality As an indie game with a lot of unique features and a shoestring budget. This game will receive regular patches and updates over the coming months. In this latest update, the balance and quality of the game have had some major improvements over the last few updates in 2020. We have a fun and extensive game that works great with single-player and over the coming updates we will be extending and fixing up the current multiplayer build. As an honest developer, don`t get this game at this time for multiplayer. In the months ahead, we will be moving forward and get enough testers to release some cool new multiplayer-focused content. Performance Optimisations We have made many optimizations in the game in general and everyone will get much better FPS rates. For ATI based players, there are common Unreal engine Game problems with spikes and irregular gameplay drops. This is something we will always do what we can, but for this release, ATI users should get much better performance than before as well as fewer or no crashes. Feedback from the ATI community is vital to work on this more in the coming updates. Improved lighting The start of the story mode is very dark, some maps are also very dark. With improved scopes (Aiming) there is now much better visibility and some sights see through fog such as the SMG Image Intensification sight. While others such as the battle rifle have a thermal scope with a friend or foe tagging system. The standard assault rifle now has a new sight that eliminates dark areas and highlights pickups and items of interest. Aside from the weapon lighting improvements the flares are now working great and give off much more light. Some decks now have emergency lighting which will help light the area around you while keeping the atmosphere of the game. AI Improved Improved teammate AI and also reduced damage from enemy attacks. They should now help much more and help players got to further chapters with a surviving teammate. Enemy AI is now much better, with bug fixes, and more varied and new enemies which really help the look and feel of the game as well as huge gameplay and experience for new and current players of the game. Improved multiplayer We...A New Year update is now available!Dec 31, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsWe finish 2020 with a second major update - V1.0.2.1 - (1.9gb) which really adds a better feel and quality boost to the game. In the last major update we introduced extra content and more improvements. Most weapons have had a number of improvements. The new Vision X holo-sight for the standard rifle now illuminates dark areas and highlights pickups. We have made more optimisations to make the game run much better. You will still need to observe minimum specs and if using a laptop - Use low Effects settings. More random elements added to story line so no 2 games will be exactly the same. The new update is huge and offers many hours of fun and extends story mode with lots of extra fun and objectives as you try and survive on the planet. If you have at least one survivor you can play through the extra chapters. There are lots more goodies for you such as more medical boxes to keep your team alive. There are lots of improvements and more lighting has been added to the first chapter on story mode. As we look forward into early 2021 we will be introducing the Co-Op survival mode as well as more voice acting, cinematics and content for Story mode and Onslaught modes.
