7.4.1 HotfixMar 18, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsWe have released the 7.4.1 Hot Fix. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/1c296e41beed120f9ce967db76c58ffc40d68544.png We have fixed an issue where if you navigated to the World Map > Games > Epic Trials, after the Epic Trial battle the game would crash, cause a CLIFFY error or you wouldn’t be able to close the Epic Trials menu. We fixed the issue in PVP where the game would crash when you selected your opponent’s Hero on the pre-battle screen or during the battle. We fixed an issue where Hero Class information would be displayed on non-Hero Troops in battle. We fixed the issue where the Legends Reborn button on the left side of the World Map did nothing We fixed an issue for some mobile players where the amount of Silver Marks they owned wasn’t appearing in the PVP shop. This issue may still occur on some devices, for example the Samsung Galaxy Tab A, so we’re continuing to investigate. We fixed the issue where the Blood Frenzy overlay was appearing over Rewards that weren’t earned as part of the Blood Frenzy, for example, on Silver Marks sent to mail. Thank you all for your patience while we sorted these issues out!7.4 UpdateMar 5, 2024 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/4a140aafaf0ce7e4e7d62913241f3e78d86d2ed9.png We have added the first expansion for the new PvP system, Monoliths. Monoliths are PvE battles that provide buffs to your team when fighting PvP Battles. Learn more about them below. Monoliths All Regions have Monoliths, however the number of Monoliths will be related to which ring the Region belongs to: Center Ring: 3 Monoliths Inner Ring: 4 Monoliths Outer Ring: 5 Monoliths Each Monolith gives a buff that applies to all Regions in PvP Winning a battle in a Monolith will unlock its Buff which applies for 1 hour. Winning further battles within a Monolith will increase the effect of the buff and give an additional 1 hour to the duration. If a Monolith’s duration reaches 0, then the Monolith will reset and players will need to win the first battle again to activate it. Monolith Battles Players can fight up to 5 Battles in a single Monolith. This means there are 5 levels of power for the Monolith’s PvP buff. Monolith Battles require Monolith Sigils, which can be gained from purchasing the Monolith Sigil Bundle from the PvP Shop, or defeating Valhawks in PvP Battles (see below for more info about Valhawks). While there is a cap to the amount of Monolith Sigils that players can earn from Valhawks of 6 per day, there is no cap on the number of Monolith Sigil Bundles that can be purchased. If you have 10 Monolith Sigils, Valhawks won't appear in your battles until you have less than 10 Monolith Sigils Each Monolith Battle has a “Boss Enemy” that will appear in the every battle This Boss Troop will appear in the Monolith’s menu Enemy teams will be built of predefined team restrictions that fit the theme of the Boss or Monolith. Players will need to fight battles using the Region’s current team restrictions After winning battles 3 and 5, players will also receive some copies of a new Talisman – the Victory Talisman. Valhawk Players can only encounter the Valhawk in PvP Battles (no matter the Region). Players have a 20% chance to encounter a Valhawk in a battle. Valhawk can be defeated up to 3 times per day. It will not count to the daily limit if the Valhawk runs away or the player loses the battle. Once the Valhawk has been successfully defeated 3 times, it will no longer appear in PvP Battles that day. Winning a battle against a Valhawk will give 2 Monolith Sigils. Valhawks will only give Monolith Sigils if the player is victorious Monolith Sigils do not reset at the end of the week. The Valhawk will be available as a troop from the Vault on Tuesday March 12th daily reset (7am UTC). Victory Talisman As mentioned, Players can earn Victory Talismans from Monolith Battles 3 and 5 When used, Victory Talismans will double any Victory Points earned from that Battle (+100% Victory Points) If the Victory Talisman is used in a Blood Frenzy Region (more on Blood Frenzy Below), the bonus will be additive (so it’s a x3 bonus not x4 as 100% Regular Amount + 100% Blood Frenzy + 100% Victory Talis...7.3 UpdateDec 13, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/fe7dd37513caed68f4068b123a48b374a0d30074.png The PvP system has not seen a major update since it was changed in the 2.0 Update (May 2016). As Gems of War has evolved since then we’re giving the PvP System a big overhaul, 7.3 is the first part of this overhaul with expansions to the system planned for future updates. The PvP World Map PvP now takes place on a new World Map When players tap the PvP Button they are taken to an alternative version of the world map for PvP. The left 3 buttons change to PvP Shop, Ladders, and Alliance replacing PvP, Games and Guilds. The left side-buttons Adventure, Campaign, and Events have been replaced with PvP Goals (it looks a little lonely right now, but we have more buttons planned to appear in future updates). All other buttons on the World Map remain the same. Players are able to return to the regular World Map menu by tapping the central buttons (similar to returning to the world map from the Underworld). On the new PvP Map, players will see 10 Regions. This is where PvP takes place – more on that below after we explain VP, Silver Marks, and Gold Marks). Victory Points (VP) Players now earn Victory Points (VP) from PvP Battles instead of “PvP Score”. VP will be used for 2 separate things VP will be a measure of your progress in weekly PvP VP totals as they accumulate week-by-week will unlock things in the PvP Shop In a future update, we will introduce PvP Seasons, and your VP will reset (not back to zero though – there will be ways to get a headstart) For now, we are treating version 7.3 as “Season Zero” – it’s the season you get when there’s not really a season! All PvP battles have a base amount of VP (based on a player’s progress through the game) with bonus VP that can be earned from battles if players meet certain conditions. Bonus VP can be seen applying to base VP in the post-battle menu alongside the battle MVP. A series of slide-ins will show the exact amounts of Bonus VP and what they are earned from. When you lose a defense battle, there is no loss of VP (like there was with the old PvP Score). There may be a mode in a future update where VP can be lost, but in 7.3 (with Quick Battle the only mode available) there is no VP loss at this time. New Currencies (Gold Marks and Silver Marks) The PvP system contains 2 new currencies that can only be earned from PvP Silver Marks – You earn these as rewards from playing PvP Battles every day, as well as for completing other various simple objectives. Gold Marks – These are a little harder to obtain, and come from completing weekly goals. They can also be purchased in the PvP Shop. Both Gold and Silver Marks can be spent in the PvP Shop (see details of what is available below) Regions There are 10 Regions on the PvP World Map. To play PvP, players simply select a Region ,and then choose Quick Battle – this will allow them to choose 1 of 3 enemies, just like the old system. Players may also select a Region and view info on their bat...7.2 UpdateOct 24, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/373807765cef12c67a6a92466ca3ecd8fb496720.png We have made some improvements to Underspire, as well as introduced a new encounter, Treasure Guardians. These changes require a new Underspire map to be generated after you've updated the game, so please note any Underspire progress you've made since weekly reset Monday 23rd 7am GMT will be reset after you've updated. Treasure Guardians are a new type of battle encounter in the Underspire. Treasure Guardian encounters will appear at the end of Dead-Ends. Dead-Ends are paths that don ’t contain a Mini-Boss or Goblin Merchant. Not all Dead-Ends will contain a Treasure Guardian There are 6 different Treasure Guardians that players may encounter, each with an equal chance to appear. They are new Legendary Troops in the game (There is more info about how to get them further down). Treasure Guardian rooms can appear at any rarity (Common, Rare, Ultra-Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic). The higher the rarity, the rarer the room is to appear. After defeating a Treasure Guardian, its location on the Underspire Map will be replaced with a Guardian Chest. This is to prevent players, who may disconnect after a battle ends, from losing their rewards. The rarity of the Treasure Guardian room will determine the rarity of the Guardian Chest, with rarer rewards being available in the higher rarity rooms. Some rewards that can be earned (depending on the room rarity) include (but are not limited to): Torches, Lanterns, Random Trinkets, Dragonite, Jewels, Traitstones, and Vault Keys. The Treasure Guardian troops themselves have a chance to drop from the Guardian Chests too. This is the only means to earn the Treasure Guardian Troops. We have changed Lanterns so any unused Lanterns carry over each week, and are not lost when weekly reset occurs. We have changed Trinkets so any unused Trinkets carry over each week, and not lost when weekly reset occurs. Torches are still gained and lost as they were previously. Please note: the Giant Sentinel ’s art was not finished before the update was submitted, so we have temporarily used the Elemental Sentinel ’s art for him. He will receive his correct art in the 7.3 Update. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/80c9f6474f71a88a3c82ae8fc9aa5e1fd4ac63d1.png We have introduced 3 new Offers for players to purchase and enjoy –Alastair ’s Weapon Cache, Harper ’s Magical Menagerie, and Marid ’s Lucky Lamp. Alastair ’s Weapon Cache replaces the previous Weapon Flash Offer that would occasionally appear to players. Alastair ’s Weapon Cache appears every Monday, after weekly reset. The Weapon Cache offer is similar to the previous Weapon Flash Offer, and will still offer past event weapons that a player doesn ’t own, along with 100 Gems (also the same as before). New to the offer is 3 Ingots or Forge Scrolls (depending on the weapon). Weapon Cache offers costs $4.99USD, the same as the previous flash offer. If players own all event weapons, they should not get this offer. Harp...7.1 UpdateSep 5, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/753432895887f56be63ca35cd75d404c25bd8a4f.png We took the Adventurer’s Path and changed it into a new system that supports new Paths for different parts of the player’s journey. ● There are now 5 Paths, based on a Player’s Level: ○ Adventurer’s Path: Players Level 1-100 ○ Guardian’s Path: Players Level 101-250 ○ Champion’s Path: Players Level 251-500 ○ Paragon’s Path: Players Level 501-1000 ○ Exalted Path: Players Level 1001+ ● All Paths contain the following areas: ○ Hero Level ○ Path Chest ○ Shop ○ Daily Tasks + Progress ● Like Adventurer’s Path, Hero Level menu is where players can earn rewards for reaching milestone Hero Levels while they play. ● There is both a free track and paid track for each Path, that does increase in price for Paths: ○ Adventurer’s Pass+: $4.99 USD ○ Guardian’s Pass+: $7.99 USD ○ Champion’s Pass+: $9.99 USD ○ Paragon’s Pass+: $14.99 USD ○ Exalted Pass+: $14.99 USD (for each 500 Levels) ● The Exalted Path’s Hero Level resets every 500 Levels, so players will continue receiving rewards for levelling up ○ They will also need to purchase the Exalted Pass+ every 500 levels to continue collecting the rewards from the paid track. ● Path Chests contain Troops (each path gives different Troops), and bonus Rewards that should be relevant to the player’s level. ○ E.g. Adventurer’s Path Chests may give Gold, Souls, or low rarity Ingots; while the Exalted Path Chests may give Cursed Runes, Dragonite or Diamonds. ● The Path Shops for Guardian, Champion, Paragon, and Exalted will allow players to purchase their Daily Deals and the Ring of Wonder subscription from the shop menu, along with the Hero Level Pass+ for that Path. ○ We will look to set up unique Offers like we have in the Adventurer’s Path for each path in a future update. ● Daily Tasks is a new addition to the Path system that is intended to give players targets they can do for the day if they don’t have any goals in mind, or can be achieved through regular gameplay. ● Players will get 3 Daily Tasks daily to complete, with each Path having Tasks targeted towards that level range (so Tasks for Guardian’s Path are not always the same as other Paths, or have lower targets to be achieved compared to the same Task for a higher Path). ● Daily Tasks, like Campaign Tasks, have a “Go to Task” button that should take you to the area they needed to progress that Task. ● Completing a Task marks it as complete and the Task card will turn Green. Players will still be able to use the “Go to Task” button to direct them to areas of the game if they wish. ● After players complete all 3 Tasks, they will receive Daily Progress Reward – a 15 minute XP Booster. ● XP Boosters will give double XP from battles while they are running. ● If an XP Booster is collected or earned while another is running, it will stack the times together. ● If players are unable to collect their earned Booster before Daily Reset, the XP Booster will be sent to the player via the mail. ● XP Boo...7.0 UpdateJul 18, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/58fd32321b48f865addaed6f252744d0f9e3088f.png Underspire is a new weekly game mode that is similar to the old school sprawling dungeons in tabletop RPGs. It is also a mash-up of Explore, Delve and Journey events. The goal of Underspire is to work your way through a mega-dungeon, fighting through 6 Mini Bosses, earning Keystones to unlock doors and searching for the final boss room, where you can earn Dragonite and Diamonds. There are plenty of other valuable rewards along the way though. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/950f51cc000f72c511fd7f23a87f72f38a651ff2.png Underspire is a mash-up of Explore, Delve and Journey events. The goal of Underspire is to work your way through a mega-dungeon, searching for the final boss room, where you can earn Dragonite and Diamonds. There are plenty of other valuable rewards along the way though. Underspire will replace Explore for the Weekly Kingdom (all other Kingdoms will still have Explore available). Explore Progress will resume once the week is over. The Weekly Kingdom will not get the Mythstone Bonus while it has Underspire active. Underspire is also available from the Games menu (it has replaced Arena near the start of the menu along the bottom). Arena can be found further into the menu. Underspire will be tied to the Weekly Kingdom, so players will need to use Troops and Weapons from that Kingdom in battles for that week. The Underspire Map begins play as hidden (apart from the starting room). Players need to uncover the Underspire map as they play. Only the adjacent Rooms to their current room will be uncovered. Underspire Maps will be unique to a player so everyone will have a different map each week. However, all players will have important locations of similar distance (there is a randomness to the distance but it is balanced to be as close as possible for all players). Each battle will require either 1 Torch or 1 Lantern to play – these are a form of Energy for the event. Torches are the basic free form of energy Torches allow you to play a battle, and players will earn up to 7 Torches per day for free, which will stack when earned each day. Players can purchase 5 more Torches in the Torches bundle up to 3 times per day. Like purchasing further Delve Energy, the cost starts at 50 Gems but will increase with each purchase per day before resetting at Daily Reset. Lanterns are an advanced premium form of energy Lanterns can only be gained by purchasing the Lantern Booster pack, which contains 5 lanterns. There is no cap to how many times you can purchase lanterns, or to how many lanterns you can have. Excess lanterns will be lost at the end of the event though. Lanterns will increase the vision of adjacent rooms by 1 (beyond what Torches show), allowing players to see 2 rooms away, giving more information about possible directions to take. Like the Golden Holiday Booster in Holiday events, players will gain a bonus reward for purchasing the Lantern Booster 3 times, and 5 times. Pla...6.9 UpdateApr 26, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/4d84ce5831c1f46d17f78d80a24177c0623f1b67.jpg Trials are a new system that will be replacing Challenges within a Kingdom. They teach new players game mechanics and give useful resources while Epic Trials reward experienced players with Starry Kingdom Pets which increase the Kingdom Team Bonus. Trials have a single battle for each Tier. Trials will give players a team of Troops from that Kingdom that they must use to defeat the Enemy team. The player’s team will be based on themes for the Kingdom. The enemy team will use Troops from that Kingdom. The Player’s Troops’ levels, traits and ascensions for their Kingdom team will be based on the versions of those Troops that the Player owns. If a player does not own a copy of a troop the Trial will use a level 5 version of the Troop with no traits or ascensions. Players will be able to change the order of the Troops on the team to suit their own play Styles. Like Challenges, Trials have 10 Tiers that need to be completed in order. Trial Tiers will increase in difficulty similar to how Challenge Tiers did previously. Players will earn the same amount of rewards from Trials as they did from Challenges (even though there are less battles than before). This means players who are in the middle of completing their Challenges, and players who have already completed all Challenges, will not miss out on any rewards. Kingdom Quests that previously unlocked a Challenge Battle, will now give Soul rewards. This replaces the Souls they would have earned from the Challenge Battle those Quests would have unlocked. The first Quest in a Kingdom will still unlock the first Trial in their Kingdom. When a player completes a Trial, if they do not own all Troops on the Trial team, they will be shown an offer that will give them 1 copy of each Troop on the team for a Gem cost. Extra Note: Kingdom Trial Teams may change in the future as more Troops release in a Kingdom or if a Kingdom receives a rework. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/ff0bedac747f137305ce06a6e49481fa13b4d726.jpg Epic Trials are additional Trials that can appear in a Kingdom when that Kingdom is the focus of a weekly event. Epic Trials will only appear, and can only be played, if a player has completed all regular Trials in that Kingdom. There are 5 Epic Trial Battles in a Kingdom each Week. Like regular Trials, each Epic Trial Battle will increase in difficulty as they progress (starting at Level 225 Enemies, and working up to Level 350). Completing an Epic Trial Battle will give a copy of the Kingdom’s Starry Pet, the final Battle will give 2 copies of the Starry Pet. (More on Starry Pets Below). Starry Pets are exclusive to Epic Trials (they cannot be earned anywhere else). Starry Pets add to their Kingdom’s Team bonus (stacking with any existing bonuses from Kingdom Pets). After completing an Epic Trial Battle, players will be given an offer to purchase additional copies of the Starry Pet for Gems. Players will be able to replay the Epic...6.8 UpdateFeb 21, 2023 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/a17779d0dee719d186f1bfe1b757221ae02b9e15.jpg We have redone the opening tutorial sequences for new players. The new tutorial sequence now contains conversations that use the new comic style that we have in the rest of the game. The new tutorial sequence contains 3 battles, each battle will teach 3 different things for the game. The new tutorial sequence tells a new story introducing Luther, as well as new characters and troops (including Luther’s Daughter, Eleanor). The new troops – Eleanor, Mysterious Hero, the Guardian Dragon, and the Militiaman come from Sword’s Edge and can be found from Chests after weekly reset. (This will allow players to update to 6.8 before these new troops are released.) We have simplified Hero Creation so players choose between 3 possible Avatars, and can tap on the Hero name to change it. Players can still change their avatar and hero name in the game like they can currently. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/0c1dab81b34bd6b6aeb6a5ff53649d89e5ebceca.jpg We have added a new type of popup tutorial in the new opening tutorial sequence. We will be looking to replace some of the existing tutorials with this new style of tutorial in future updates. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/fdebb92b93b96f71e6ee8e95757ed36f72896800.jpg We have added a new random encounter system that can trigger at the end of non-boss battles in Explore and Delves. The Wandering Merchant System has a 15% chance to trigger at the end of non-boss battles in Delves and Explores. There are 4 different types of encounters that players may get: The Merchant: This encounter will offer 2 deals (1 costing Gold, and 1 costing Gems). Players may choose one of the deals to spend their resources on. The Genie: This encounter shows a possible buff and a possible debuff. Players can take the chance to get the buff, but have a chance to get the debuff instead. The effect gained will apply in battles until the end of the Delve Map or Explore Run. The Daemon: This encounter shows a buff and a debuff. If a Player accepts the deal, they will get both the buff and the debuff in battles until the end of the Delve Map or Explore Run. The Angel: This is the rarest encounter, which will present 2 possible rewards for players to choose between, they may only select 1 reward. Players can close an encounter without engaging with it if they are not interested. Once the encounter menu has been closed, it cannot be reopened if a player changes their mind. If a player currently has a Gnome-A-Palooza running, Wandering Merchant encounters will not appear. Wandering Merchant Encounters won’t appear after the 4th Explore Battle. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/2bb0ddd79c3db9b000a149bb6bf8a215f9c4e5a7.jpg Flash Offers have had a visual update to match the new UI style. We have added new Bonus Rewards to some Flash Offers. Bonus Rewards are extra items that players will receive if the Flash Offer is purchased a number of times. Not all Flash Offers will contain a Bonus Reward {S...6.7 UpdateDec 12, 2022 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/189780e3544f49b1136be56e1220bb894c744088.png We have made some changes to the UI around Troop upgrades. These changes are intended to make Troop Upgrades easier for new players, and faster for existing players, and also allow us to add new orb types. The Troop Card popup in the Troop Collection Menu has new buttons: Arrow Button - This is the Recruit button for a team (Controller still uses same shortcut) Level Up Button - This takes players to the new Troop Level Up Menu More Upgrades Button - This is where players can do all other Troop Upgrades, as well as accessing Screenshot mode. Troop Levelling is now found in its own menu that players can access from the Troop Card Popup. The Troop Level menu will only have 1 means to level a troop, by choosing the level. The menu will default to the highest level the player can purchase (based on Souls amount and/or Rarity). (Adventurer's Path Troop Level restrictions will also affect Max level possible). Players can still see how the Troop's Skills change for each level in this menu. In the More Upgrades menu, players will start on the Troop Overview Menu. This will present all Troop information (similar to the screenshot mode), so they are able to clearly view all information for their troop. Players can use the Camera button in the top left corner to switch it into Screenshot mode. The Gear Button on the bottom Left side will slide out the Screenshot options (just like in the current version) so players wishing to set up a screenshot for the Troop may still do so. The Button underneath that in the bottom left side is the Skills button which will display the Troop’s Skills and a breakdown of how the Skills are calculated (e.g. how much Attack comes from Kingdoms etc.). The Traits tab menu behaves exactly as the Traits menu currently. The Ascension tab menu also behaves the same, however we have moved the Base Rarity and number of copies a player owns to the left hand side, and added a button for ascending all Troops which will be clearer for players to understand. The Elite Level tab menu behaves exactly as the Elite Level menu currently. The Orbs tab menu behaves exactly as the Orbs menu currently. Players will also be able to use their Orbs of Glory from here (more on those below). The Disenchant tab menu behaves exactly as the Disenchant menu currently. We have updated the tutorials for Troop Leveling, Troop Traiting, and Troop Ascension to fit these new menu changes. To help reduce time higher level spend upgrading their troops, we have added a button on the Overview menu for Players level 101+, that will allow players to Level, Trait and Ascend the Troop they are looking at, all at once using any available resources the Player has. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/d70be5606831b1a98534411830b695e0d6d6d3c8.png We have made some improvements to the Holiday Event. Holiday Events contain a series of battles in a kingdom. Players get up to 3 Holiday Battles each day that they can use to play battles during the event. Holiday Battles work similar to Delve Attempts so any unused battles (below the 3 free battles) do not carry over to the next day. (e.g. If a player has 1/3 battles remaining at daily reset, the event will reset it to 3 Battles, and the unused battle is not carried over).Holiday Battles have a soft cap of 3. However, purchasing more Holiday Battles allows players to exceed this cap. Players will not lose any Holiday Battles that exceed the cap. (E.g. If a player purchases Holiday battles so the number of battles is 6/3 then at Daily reset they will continue to have 6/3 Holiday Battles).Players can purchase more Holiday Battles via Gems from the Event Shop (more information below). Holiday Battle attempts will reset to 3 attempts at daily reset (7am GMT) each day.The battles start at Tier I, and every 5 battles (win or lose) the player will be given the choice to increase or decrease the Tier. Battle Levels at Tier I will be 10-19, and will increase by +10 every Tier. Battles at Tier I will reward +20 Event Currency (more information below), and that will increase by +1 every Tier Players are restricted to using a single color for the Troops and Weapons they can take into Holiday events battles (similar to Tower of Doom). The Holiday Event is accessed from the Game Menu, and is split into 3 tabs: Overview, Fight, and Event Shop.On the Holiday-Fight Tab, players will have 3 battles to choose from, whose teams are each built from an Epic, Legendary, or Mythic Troop in the Holiday Event Kingdom. Each battle has an independent randomly-chosen level within the level range based on the Player's current Tier in the event. After completing a battle (win or lose), 3 new battles will be generated to choose between. Each Holiday Event has a currency unique to that event. The Dungeon Menu has had an update to have 2 tabs in the Menu. One for the main dungeon, and one for the new Dungeon Shop (see below). Dungeons now have a Level that affects the difficulty of the Dungeon. The Dungeon Level can never go below 1 and can never be higher than 20. Dungeon Level will also affect the rewards that can be earned in the Dungeon, so completing Dungeons on harder difficulties will give more rewards. Shards +1 per level Jewels +1 per 4 levels Diamonds +1 per 10 levels The Megaboss gives double rewards Players will have 6 Dungeon doors to pick from, behind each door is either a Battle, Trap or Boon Room. Each Dungeon will have 3 Battle Rooms, 2 Traps, and 1 Boon Room. Battles are the same battles that players encountered before with the exception of the final Boss for the Dungeon. We have added 7 new Dungeon Bosses for players to encounter, one for each Day. These new Dungeon Bosses are Gem Dragon Mythic bosses, each themed to their Dungeon. Players can now fight Dungeon Battles in any order once they encounter them in the Dungeon. (E.g. If the Player finds the Battle against the Gem Dragon, they can fight that before they do any other battles). Traps will apply debuffs to the player in any future Battle in the dungeon for that day. Trap effects are reset daily, so Traps will not affect the following day. If Players manage to defeat all 3 Battles without encountering a Trap, they will earn a Perfect Run which will earn them Dragonite, a new resource that can be used in the Soulforge. Boon Rooms are 1 of 3 types of Rooms - Altar, Treasure or Stairs. Altars are the reverse of Traps, and will grant a buff to Ally Troops in all future Battles for that day. Like Traps, Altars will only apply for that day, and are lost when Daily Reset occurs. Treasures will give bonus Jewels for that day's Dungeon. (e.g. A Treasure Room in the Dungeon of Fire will give Rubies). Stairs can either go up or down. Stairs that go up will lower the Dungeon's Level, while Stairs that go down will increase the Dungeon's level. Players can choose whether they wish to use the Stairs to change their Dungeon Level or if they want to stay on the same Dungeon Level. If the player uses the Stairs the new Dungeon Level will apply to any unfought battles, and Treasures that have not yet been encountered. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/ba2c3bb7581e784e48f381a7ae502ad59c26da06.jpg We have updated the Dungeon Shop making it easier for players to find and view the offers. Gem Bounties no longer require players to defeat a Dungeon Boss to in order for it to be available for Purchase. We have added 3 new offers for players to spend Gems on to get resources for the Soulforge, including Cursed Runes and Dragonite. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/e670c5cdbb5af27b98...6.4 UpdateJul 12, 2022 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/2dedc2f380b586905fe6f7a3b9de139aeba9c835.jpg Legends Reborn is a 2 week long event that runs in a Kingdom. The chosen Kingdom will have an icon on the Kingdom's name plate on the World Map (similar to when a Quest is available for the Kingdom has bonus Mythstones). Legends Reborn can be accessed from 3 places: Games Menu News Menu Kingdom Menu for chosen Kingdom in Legends Reborn - Players who have completed the storyline for the Kingdom that Legends Reborn is happening in will be able to access the event from that Kingdom’s Menu. While Legends Reborn is active, players can replay the Kingdom's Storyline (from the Legends Reborn Menu). Players will not gain the Quest Bonus Income, Unlock Challenges, or Troop rewards that may have been gained when playing the Storyline Quests normally. Players will not be able to replay the Kingdom's Class Quest. The Kingdom Storyline in Legends Reborn will have a starting difficulty of Level 20, and increase in difficulty for each battle played. Playthroughs at a higher difficulty will unlock during the event. DIFFICULTY II (Lv 50): Day 3 DIFFICULTY III (Lv 80): Day 6 DIFFICULTY IV (Lv 110): Day 9 DIFFICULTY V (Lv 140): Day 12 Each playthrough will unlock copies of a special Pet that will buff an Epic Rarity Troop from that Kingdom. Also during a Legends Reborn event, players will be able to earn a “Kingdom Collectible” for the event by defeating Enemies of that Kingdom's primary color (in any game mode, except for Training mode). Earning this Kingdom collectible will unlock Reward Tiers for the Legends Reborn event. In each Tier there are 4 types of Rewards a player can collect: FREE: These rewards are free to collect, and contain a Pet that will buff a Troop of Ultra-Rare or Lower Rarity. GEM: These rewards can be purchased using Gems, and contain a Pet that will buff a Legendary Rarity Troop, as well as other rewards (including Cursed Gnome bait) CASH: These rewards can be purchased using real money, and contain a Pet that will buff a Mythic Rarity Troop, as well as other rewards (including a Orb of Power). BONUS: These rewards become available if a player collects all the other rewards in the Tier. A player cannot collect a reward in a higher tier unless they have collected the matching reward in a lower tier. E.g. Players would need to collect the Tier I Gem Reward before they would be able to collect/purchase the Tier II Gem Reward. There is no need to purchase the Tier I Cash Reward though in order to get the Tier II Gem Reward or the Tier II Free Reward. All pets available in Kingdoms Reborn will also be available from Pet Gnomes. Legends Reborn does not have a set schedule when it will run (compared to other events like Guild Wars). (Our first Legends Reborn Event will start at weekly reset on August 1st) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/292031ffe8960cf05f8a37e184f8a01d62181129.jpg Some platforms are now requiring all games to include in-game account deletion. When an existing Faction has a weekend event, a new Deep Delve Map will be released. This allows Deep Delves to then become available for this Faction. Deep Delves have a cost of 2 Delve Energy + 10,000 Gold to run A Faction must be at Delve level 100 or higher to be able to be upgraded to a Deep Delve. Deep Delves are an empowered version of a Faction Delve, with a few differences: Deep Delves start at a higher treasure multiplier compared to regular Delves. Deep Delves guarantees a special new room that only appears in Deep Delves, the Gnome's Treasure Room. (more on this below). The Gnome Treasure is a special room which will randomly spawn in a Deep Delve (so it can appear in any location except for the Starting Room and Boss Room). This room will spawn a random Gnome that will give loot (like a regular random Gnome spawn in battles). The Gnome is unknown until players enter the battle. As Deep Delves requires 2 Delve Attempts to play, we have added a new Delve Attempt purchase offer that players can access from the Delve menu. This offer gives 3 Delve Attempts for Gems, starting at 50 Gems. However each time it is purchased per day the Gem cost will increase. The Gem cost will reset daily. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/2331451e7354ef0e970879c68f571b7d016ac887.jpg We have expanded the Treasure Hoard in Factions. Starting at Treasure Hoard Level 100+, players will now unlock a potion at set levels to aid them in Delves for that Faction. At Treasure Hoard Level 200 players will unlock a Potion of Power and will unlock further stacks of the Potion of Power every 25 levels after that. These potions are identical to the ones you unlock in Shop-Tiers in a regular event. Potion of Explosion, Potion of Rejuvenation and Potion of Power can stack with the potions that can be unlocked during a Faction Assault event within a Faction. Players can view all their unlocked potions from the Level tab in the Treasure Hoard menu. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/63a0611ebca7f1c650b3619809175b5dd1e90f87.jpg Quest Conversations have had a visual upgrade to a new comic book style Conversations will now autoplay through the sequences. Players can still click to speed ahead to the next part or use the skip button to skip the conversation. Over time we will make further changes to conversations with different conversation layouts, and add a wider range of characters into the story, using the existing Troops that have not previously been available until now. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/43feb34d2979c15d454c90f269945a0ce6e184d3.jpg We will be retiring our previous New Adventurer, Expert Adventurer and Master Adventurer Starter bundles, and introducing new Starter Sets for newer players in the Adventurer's Path Hero Shop. As we approach Gems of War’s 8th anniversary, we have some exciting things planned for the game and thought it would be great to share them with our community: the long-time battle-tested warriors, the enthusiastic new recruits, and all those in between. The graphic below is a small window into our development schedule, showing our best guesses at when updates will release, as well as the names of some of the features in those updates, and the special events we have planned. It doesn’t go into too much detail (yet!), but as each update approaches, we‘ll release more sneak peeks of what’s to come. Okay… This might just leave you wanting more, and the image below has names that are often a bit more about the theme of an update, rather than details of its contents, so here are a few extra hints about what to expect in version 6.3, Depths Below. The Depths Below will feature some improvements to how we can interact with Delves in the Underworld, including some expansions for the Treasure Hoard, and plans for adding extra troops (and maps!) to existing factions. There’s more too, along with our continued overhaul and upgrade to the game’s UI. So we hope that has whetted your appetites a little, and we can’t wait to share more with you in the coming months. https://aws1.discourse-cdn.com/business5/uploads/gemsofwar/original/3X/b/4/b48ac4f0807c2fa5b68fe7d0a4a0d043fdb0660d.jpeg6.2 UpdateMar 9, 2022 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/516b42670832d38e491e9bd203574c15aefb6bbd.jpg Adventurer's Path is a new feature aimed at players level 1- 100, to help introduce them to the many game systems that make up Gems of War. For those players, it will appear on the World Map. For players above level 100, they can access the Adventurer's Path from the Hero Profile Menu. Through the Adventurer's Path, players will now unlock all features accessed from leveling up their Hero. Players can view when a feature will unlock from the Hero Level menu. Some levels may trigger a World Quest, which will unlock the feature. See more on World Quests below This is similar to the old Dungeon and Soulforge quests that players previously completed to unlock those features. We’ll be doing more with World Quests in future updates! As players reach each level milestone they will not only unlock new features or game modes, but also earn rewards. Players can also purchase the New Hero's Pass to unlock additional rewards to help them progress. Players can access the current kingdom quest line they are playing through the Adventure Button, which will also allow players to unlock new kingdoms and play their quests when they finish an existing quest line. As players win battles, a counter on the Adventure button will tick up. Every 5 battles, the player will earn a Key. Keys will need to be collected from the menu manually. Players can collect from 1-5 keys at once. The Keys up until level 25 will be Adventurer's Keys used for a new special Chest, the Adventurer's Chest. The Adventurer's Chest will contain a small pool of troops designed for new players. These troops will also be available in regular chests for existing players to find and add to their collections. After level 25, the Keys will be either Gold, Glory or Gem Keys. Keys can only be earned until level 100. Players will also be able to purchase the Kingdom Weapon packs, and Starter Packs via the Hero Shop in the Adventurer’s Path menu. Any player who has unlocked a feature before the 6.2 update will continue to have access to it even if they are lower level than the unlock Level in Adventurer's Path. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/0e7399484b58a19ba3599afb3ad7b9fb30f48f91.jpg Some mischievous mimics have sneakily sneaked their way into Explore Battles…. Cursed Runes are a new resource that are used to both level up the Soulforge from level 11- 20, as well as to craft many of the new recipes unlocked at those levels. Players can earn Cursed Runes by defeating the Cursed Gnome (see below). Soulforge levels 11-20 will unlock many new recipes. Some of these include: Crafting Forge Scrolls Upgrading Medals to the next rarity Crafting Orbs Crafting Guild Gifts Crafting new content Crafting a Vault Key Recipes from level 11-20 will require Cursed Runes as part of the recipe. We have also added older resources, such as Treasure Maps, as ingredients to some of the new recipes to give players alternative means to use those resources. We have added a new special Mythic Troop to the Soulforge, Dark Smith Drenza, who will unlock at level 20. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/3cc8a4fc044b68c37913c0b7dcc0c60bfc65a402.jpg We have made some improvements to the Soulforge for all levels: We have added a new tutorial to introduce players to the Soulforge. This will trigger for all players who have the Soulforge unlocked when they play the 6.1 update for the first time. A “!” icon will now appear on the world map to let players know when they are able to level up the Soulforge. A banner will also appear on the Soulforge button in the Games menu to let players know that an upgrade is available. When a player levels up their Soulforge a new Level Up Reward List will pop up that will display all the new recipes that they can craft. Players will now get a special one-shot recipe for each level of the Soulforge One-Shot recipes, as the name suggests, can be crafted only once and only produce a single copy. The One-shot recipes contain good one-time rewards for players to craft using Souls. Once crafted, one-shot recipes will disappear from the recipe list. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/af93e5cffbc87f3b8fc8b23a2ba57f9653203d31.jpg The Cursed Gnome is a new Gnome from The Vault. The Cursed Gnome is a rare Gnome encounter. The Cursed Gnome will drop Cursed Runes when defeated. We have added Cursed Gnome Bait that players will be able to purchase from flash offers, to get a Baited Cursed Gnome in either PvP or Explore battles. If a player goes into a PvP battle with both Cursed Gnome Bait and Gnome Bait (for the Baited Pet Gnome), it will use up the Gnome Bait for Pet Gnomes first before using Cursed Gnome Bait. To celebrate the release of the 6.1 Update, we will be temporarily increasing the chance to encounter the Cursed Gnome in Explores (outside of Gnome-a-Palooza) for the next 7 Days starting this Thursday. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/6b405bd8e0a1ce3b63141da540f45b4e25c...6.0 UpdateNov 2, 2021 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/494aa1aac9a50b2a36f2b4ac18fb8961b513a4ad.jpg The Kingdom Pass is a new event that runs when we release a new Kingdom. A Kingdom Pass will run for 5 weeks starting when a new Kingdom releases. Over the 5 weeks, the new Kingdom will have several events that will unlock new content for it such as a New Hero Class, a Faction and a Bounty Troop. While the Kingdom Pass is running, players will encounter a Legendary troop from the new Kingdom as a battlecrasher in PvP and Explore. Defeating it will give a Kingdom Crown. Kingdom Crowns are used to progress through levels of the Kingdom Pass. Each level needs 5 Kingdom Crowns. Each level of the Kingdom Pass gives a free reward. Players can also choose to purchase the “Royal Kingdom Pass” which will give an extra reward each level. Players will only be able to earn a maximum of 10 Kingdom Crowns per day, with the chance to encounter the Kingdom Battlecrasher decreasing after players have encountered it 5 times. This will reset daily. Players can access the Kingdom Pass Menu from the World Map, and it will have a notification icon when there is a reward available to collect. There are 50 primary Levels for the Kingdom Pass. Some details for the rewards in the Kingdom Pass are below: Kingdom Troops: Several Troops from the new Kingdom will be available from the Kingdom Pass. Some are available from the Free Pass, and some are only available from the Royal Pass. Here are how the troops in the kingdom will release: 1 Common Troop - Will go directly into gold chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom) 1 Rare Trop - Will go directly into gold & glory chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom) 1 Epic Quest Giver- Will go directly into glory, gem & VIP chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom) 1 Legendary Troop - Will go directly into glory, gem & VIP chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom). Gnome-a-Palooza is a timed event lasting 15 minutes. Gnome-a-Palooza can be started by crafting in the Soulforge, after collecting 4 unique Verses. These Verses are only dropped by the 4 members of the Gnome band, Mana Surge, Cindi Savagelips, Freddi Fretfiddler, Hoagi Humbucker and Baz Bonebeater. These Gnomes will crash battles in a similar way to regular Treasure Gnomes. Each Gnome will drop 1 of the 4 Verses, so players will need to find and kill all 4 to get enough Verses to craft Gnome-a-Palooza. Once Gnome-a-Palooza has started, a new music track will play for the duration of the event. Also, a timer will display on the World Map, showing the remaining time left for the Gnome-a-Palooza event. While Gnome-a-Palooza is active, 4 random Gnomes will appear in all PvP, Quest, Challenge, and Explore Battles. Also, while Gnome-a-Palooza is active, all gold earned from battles is doubled. Gnome-a-Palooza only applies to the person who crafts it (so it is not shared by anyone else). If you craft Gnome-a-Palooza, while Gnome-a-Palooza is running, the time will stack. There is a known issue where the Gnome-a-Palooza timer will not display if it runs for more than 1 hour (you’d have to craft 5 at once for this to occur, so not very likely). There is a known Issue where the enemy Hero is not replaced in PVP during Gnome-a-Palooza, however Gnome rewards are still being given like normal (as if the Hero was replaced). To ensure that the Mana Surge Gnomes will always give a verse, they do not have chance to give a Vault Key (even during Vault Events). Mana Surge Gnomes will be added as a possible drops to Cedric’s & King Cedric’s loot at weekly reset next week. This gives time for players to update their game to the 5.6 update. As part of the celebration for 5.6 release, we will be running a special Gnome Vault event for 4 days starting daily reset on Thursday July 13th (AEST). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/da629eb1572ea0e3cc4d0d7b41e0f34807986a71.jpg We have added several new Heroic Gems in this update. Some of these we will reveal in future Campaigns or special Events. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/97a8025722428c5b6b93b3e1991e20abc6a764ce.jpg With the introduction of Heroic Gems, we wanted to prevent the rare case where the board gets locked up without any available moves. We have added a board reset to the puzzle game. If there are no available moves on the board, the board will be completely cleared and refilled with new Gems. All troops will also be completely Mana Drained (even if they are normally immune to mana drain), to prevent any spell combination that could cause the board to lock up in an endless loop. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/7041285/31f5befb0e61afe82fba1554ed75da43cda531bc.jpg We have introduced 2 new Warbands for you to try out, Dark Assassins and Poison Fangs.
