Gradient ConvergenceSep 15, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsWe are very happy to be part of the Gradient Convergence Event brought by the Game Devs of Color Expo, alongside many other amazing games! Come and check out the event here! Specific for this event, we made a recent update on our demo! What is new? We just added the Utensil System to the demo, including a few different utensils for players to try around different builds! The placement of these utensils will differ from the final version of the game. Kickstarter We already made a pre-launch page while we continue to improve and adjust it! Make sure to hit that "Notify me on launch" button to stay tuned for our new campaign! Link here! We are aiming to start the new campaign next year, between February and April. After making some research, we found out the end of the year is not ideal for campaigns and that March and April were better options, so we opted for something around that. This gives us room to bring new content and more information about Gedda Cake in the campaign! Games From Ontario Steam SaleSep 7, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsWe are proud to be part of the Games From Ontario Steam Sale event alongside other 180+ games from Ontario Developers! We will be streaming a pre-recorded video of one of us playing the whole demo during this entire event! If you want to know more about Gedda Cake and check the gameplay, it will be showing some of the new changes we made to the demo on our most recent patch! We are reworking some aspects of our campaign, updating content and information, replanning scope and prices, so we can bring a new and better Kickstarter Campaign in the near future!Speedrun ContestJul 16, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsThe speedrun event will run between the 14th and the 20th of July. Ending at 11am (EDT). The winner will get some awesome prizes! Also, you don't have to be a backer to take part, so feel free to invite your friends to join as well. There are going to be two modes of speedrun. The Any% Mode and the 100% Category. During the speedrun, cutscenes will be skipped automatically and there will be an in-game timer to record your time that starts and stops automatically. Both modes end when you sleep at the last nest that is located in the last room of the demo, after the boss: Baggy. Check the rules for the competition here Any% Mode Rewards for 1st place: Get a statue placed in the full game that will immortalize you as the speedrunning god you are. New additions: Cinematic Bars on Cutscenes to better define them Selection Arrow Added to Galacteon Swap UI when playing with gamepads -> An arrow was added to better show the player which Galacteon they are selecting New doors with indicators for the amount of triggers needed for them to open New door design for normal doors New Assist Mode Option: Elemental Indicator that shows the enemy's element above them as an icon. If the enemy is not vulnerable to damage the indicator will be greyed out. Damage Numbers - Damage Numbers added to the game with icons for the different types of damage These can be turned off in the Settings Book inside the game New effect when sleeping on nests to give more impact and better feedback that player was healed and can leave the nest Added a "Death Camera" to bosses. When they are defeated off-screen you will still be able to see their defeat animation When an enemy is summoned in a wave challenge its attack and collision will be deactivated for some time. This way players won't be punsihed by being in the summoning spot once the enemy shows up. Changes: Water movement improved -> Up and down movement decelerates when the button is released Normal movement changes -> No more drag on normal movement removing some odd behaviors and making it snappier Bestiary -> bestiary will no longer be based on location Some changes to descriptions and explanations to better show the buttons needed to perform an action Some changes to level design Added special respawn points in rooms filled with water for Gedda to go back to. Solving some situations where it could break the game Saulomandro no longer sells cupcake refills as he was too close so a save point Bug fixes: Sound Bug Fix - Before, changing the sound sliders would make the game start silent the next time and the sfx slider was being overritten by the music slider's value Wave Challenges -> Some changes to avoid getting stuck on an enemy wave. Let's see if it works for everyone now Day/Night Cycle - Fixed bugs that would cause the Day/Night Cycle to stop advancing Pebble/Icicle - Fixed a bug that caused this enemy to spawn in the wrong transformation during dawn Assist Mode Options were not being saved Assist Mode Buttons were not displaying correctly depending on control scheme Piccky would sometimes do her skills looking the wrong way Fixed a collision bug on the Boaris arena that lead to an exploit If a boss is defeated and its doors are not opened by one of the dragon's fanfare event then it will open once the game loads the boss and realizes it was defeated Fixed a bug that lead to infinite slow motion when opening the Galacteon Swap Selector when using gamepads Kickstarter Campaign AnnouncementJul 9, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsAfter announcing our campaign on social media a while ago, we are getting close to the launch date! 12th of July is our start date! Here is a list of changes: - Fixed bug where health was not displayed properly after cutscene and special events. - Fixed bug where menu was not properly reset when deleting a save and not closing the game. - Doors with multiple triggers are now saved separately instead of only when the door is opened. - Gedda’s Ground Combo has an improved hitbox. - Piccky’s Underwater Water Ball doesn’t colide with the floor anymore. - Sound waves properly disappear after skipping cutscenes. - Changed SFX for receiving a double damage hit. - Changed SFX for enemies blocking an attack. - Fixed bug where the Forest of Origins Theme would stop playing. - Fixed Ambience SFX on underwater rooms with Assist Mode: Same Room Respawn. - Game should work properly on more resolutions, without showing parts off-screen. It is available sooner. - First enemy, Sliracha, has been nerfed (health reduced). - Gedda's Air Combo has been improved. - Gedda's Ground Combo is easier to connect. - Piccky's Ground Combo is easier to connect. - Golden Egg Piece Counter added in Inventory Menu. - Sacaritis Saved Counter added in Inventory Menu. - Lickarock's attack are easier to notice. - Arachnottle nerfed, attacks slower. - Golden Egg Pieces re-arranged. - Some Level Designs were improved. - Visual tutorials added for certain mechanics. - Pause disabled on Victory animations and cutscenes (this was breaking the game). - Boar boss, Boaris, nerfed. Tusk attack removed. - Cupcake freeze might be solved. - Map controls changed. - Other bug fixes.
