We are pleased to announce the release of MFG Studio, a dedicated development environment to support filter development with MFG. This enables fast and flexible filter development in Windows and macOS environments. MFG plans to release the source code as open source in the future, but at the time of this release, the MFG Studio runtime environment is being provided first. The created mar files can be used in the upcoming FireAlpaca SE 3.0 release. About MFG MFG is a new GPU-specific filter description language that runs across multiple operating systems and GPU hardware platforms. By taking GPU-specific concepts—such as multiple kernels and intermediate buffers—into the core of the language design, MFG enables GPU programming to be more intuitive and productive than traditional CPU-centric languages. It converts into optimized DirectX shaders on Windows and Metal shaders on macOS, enabling high-speed GPU filter processing from a single source. No separate libraries per operating systems or external development environments are required, making it easy to develop and deploy high-performance filters. About MFG Studio MFG Studio is IDE for developing MFG. By simply installing MFG Studio, users can begin developing GPU-powered filters without the need for any additional tools or setups. This all-in-one IDE equipped with syntax highlight enables script creation and editing, performance preview, and packaging into the distributable .mar format. The created .mar files can be used directly in FireAlpaca SE 3.0.
