House Costumes are on the way !Mar 23, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsWe have created the infrastructure that will enable us to bring costumes to our homes in the town of Feign. While doing this, we did not forget to prepare a few sample costumes,too :) In short, we will soon be able to customize our own homes just like we dress our fei characters. In addition to this main development, we would like to give you another good news. We have started working on a player reporting and suspension system that will be added to the game. Night and day music added that changes during the day and night cycle in the game Esc function added, you can now exit any menu by pressing Esc button on your keyboard. Flags in the game have been replaced with language names to avoid confusion. Also the ghost's candle bug has been fixed. While doing this, we overhauled the drawing of the entire village. While creating this new theme, we took care to make a theme with darker colors, taking into account the lowering brightness demands of our players. With this new house update, we have now paved the way for bringing house costumes to the game, and soon we will be able to customize our own houses, just like we dress our fei characters. In addition to this main improvement, we also made a few minor improvements. We list them below: The time counter visual in the game has been improved. Yes, this image has been on our minds for a long time and it was time to get it out of the way :) How to play part has been improved. You can now practice entering the game with your character in the "how to play" section. Police Fei sound bug has been fixed. If the person the police visited did not leave the house, the police would stop waiting early and return. However, during this period, the blocking sound continued to be heard. With the last character balance there was an end-game issue with sorcerers. When there were online sorcerers left in the game, the game was not ending. Now sorcerers can win together if they are left together at the end. A bug was causing the lookout to see fei's in the order they reach to the house. Now the order will appear totally random. With this update, our 6th major step is finished in our update plan. Therefore we added a boost to them where they can protect themselves from all attacks during nighttime :) The only exception to this rule is the haunter. So now the only way to have a sorcerer lose the game is to vote it out during the daytime or have a haunter visit it. Haunter: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41223057/9747c6f97e88a229484dc3c4f9ddd9c135359a02.png In most of the games, it was too easy for players to vote the Haunter out. So we wanted to make it a little bit harder to vote for haunter. When a haunter is voted out of the town, then the player that it kills loses the game no matter what. So be careful now while voting out a haunter because its candle might be next to your house. Previously, it could only be disguised as a role that was already in the game. We hear your complaints on this issue and fix it with this update. Hundreds of thousands thanks to everyone who enjoys Feign. If you remember, we had a big 4-stage update plan for Feign that we shared with you, and today we are proud to say as we completed all of those. Now today we are sharing a new set of major update goals for the upcoming months. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/41223057/aa4803ba42daa66d6a9c72552eb00b3a423aa97d.png In the first major update, we brought global chat and auto-translation to the game. The aim here was to remove the language barrier a bit and allow players from all over the world to experience the game together. We balanced the characters in the second major update. Some characters were very strong, others were very weak. In the third major update, we added 3 new characters to the game. Tracker, Sorcerer, and Haunter characters. In the fourth major update, we launched Feign Mobile for android devices. Now going forward our aim with major updates is as follows. 5. We will have the skin system released to the game. This will allow us to have all the different costumes for our cute characters :) 6. With the arrival of our new characters we realized that there is a need for a new character balance for an improved game experience. In this step, we will carefully do this. Also, there is a need for a colorblind mode for accessibility to our game. We will also add this new feature to the game in this step. 7. When you die in Feign, it becomes hard to follow what is happening in the game. We will add a new dead vision to the game where whenever you die you can use this role to see exactly what one of the alive players is seeing during that night. We are sure this will be a lot of fun :) 8. In this 8th step we are planning to make major UI improvements for our lobby creation, end game, and many more screens. --------------------------------------- Some final words of what we added today: Now you can create a game with a much longer daytime to discuss more if you want. An extensive player base was wanting to have more daytime, so we added 600seconds and 1200seconds options for the daytime game. So many new players have joined our PC players in the game, way above our expectations. Lookout can now see the Tracker and insane Tracker. When an insane role was blamed it appeared as a red insane. This major bug is also fixed for good. Some of our players were getting stuck on the loading screen for no reason from time to time. We investigated and fixed this issue. We also added a new error message when there is a steam initialization error is detected, explaining what you should do step by step. The bug report tool is upgraded. Now you can upload your bugs twice as fast as before. We were getting complaints about players who were sending very long messages in chat. In-game chat messages are now limited to 500 characters.
