This isn’t just a quick port — it's a full rebuild for PC and mobile, with: A brand-new UI and design tailored for Steam and mobile platforms. Touch controls and performance optimization. New features and systems to elevate the gameplay experience. The original creator, LethalDolphin, is actively involved and will supervise the project to ensure the new version stays true to the original spirit while pushing the experience further. Here are the changes for the upcoming season 3. Unfortunately we were not able to get the rework done in time so we will have another season with the current system. Nonetheless we will integrate some of the changes to make it more accessible and hopefully more fun. If you want to stay informed about multiplayer you can go to discord in Channels & Roles and check that you want to receive notifications for FAPI Multiplayer. This will give you the FAPIMultiplayer role which I will ping when giving out information about upcoming changes. Access to the new subclass talents when you reach A50+. Subclasses now have an exponential bonus in addition to the existing bonuses. The second part of the Portal Shop has been reactivated. 4 New Upgrades got Added Unlocked with A25/30/40/50. Multiplayer Season 3 will start on 20th March at 4PM GMT. We are happy about the huge increase in the number of different pets, but we also see the difficulties that the new pets have to overcome due to the promotion system. Depending on the pet's appearance world, it now drops with up to 6 promotion level, this free levels have been added to pets already owned (cannot exceed the current promotion limit). Balancing Changes After closer examination we noticed that the portal enemies have probably been treated with super fertilizer. Portal enemies scaling have been revamped the world sections are now better reflected in the floors. Various Portal Shop Upgrades got Increased. Subclass Exp Curve got Revamped, again. Seed per enemy got increased for Floor 1-500 and reduced for Floor 501+. Subclass Exp per Enemy got increased for Floor 501+. The Talents are now automatically maximized as soon as you have enough points for them. Equip Bonus for Subclass Exp slightly Increased. Portal Related Pet Combo Bonuses Increased and some small Changes in the needed Pets. W9-2/6 got an Additional Bonus. Fixes Fixed a issue where the subclass malus was not applied correctly. Fixed a issue Lunar Cart from World 9 was not selectable. Fixed a issue Blue Cherry vanished by starting a New Game+. Portal pets drop chance bonus through the current floor has been limited. Offline time in the portal now gives the correct amount of Potato Skins and kills/try's for pets. Offline time calculation for seed chunks and subclass exp has been increased from 0 -72h = ~75% to 0-24h = ~100% 25-48h = ~90% 49-72h = ~75%. Current max floor is automatically entered in the input field. Global bonus for Residue, Item Rating and Card Power has been slightly increased (a further increase/revision will follow). Global bonuses that are active with each class depending on your total sub-class level. A currency that can be found in the portal, with a shop with over 60+ upgrades. 6 Expeditions. 24 Pets, 12 of them can be found in the new mode Portal. Every 50 levels drop an additional one to the previous ones and the drop chance for them is also improved. Classes can be changed without reincarnating from A20. 2 Buildings in the Town. 2 Cards. 2 SoulShop Item & 1 Potion. Update: Multiplayer reward have been changed, the Golden Soul from Season reward lowered. Multiplayer Cosmetic have been changed, the milestone have been lowered so it's easier to get the highest one. Time flies when you're busy surviving hordes of murderous potatoes! Farmer Against Potatoes Idle (FAPI) is approaching its 2nd anniversary later this month. We can't thank everyone enough, both those who started on our Early Access journey two years ago and everyone who has joined the cause since then. To celebrate, we will be having a limited time event where you can earn a few cosmetic goodies. Details will be announced soon. As a small aside, it has been exactly six years since Oni Games was founded. Our first game, Wizard and Minion Idle (WAMI), was released several months later. Despite three years and 153 game updates (as of July 2024), WAMI was never officially finished. So having FAPI finally leave Early Access is incredibly exciting! That said, we will be announcing something about WAMI soon... Oh, did I forget to mention that FAPI is leaving Early Access? We are thrilled to announce that we will be officially launching the 1.0 version on September 5th! Half a million Farmers have killed almost five and a half TRILLION (or 5.5e12 for those of you on scientific/engineering notation) potatoes over the past two years. We have gone from humble beginnings just fending off waves of bloodthirsty taters to catching and raising pets, managing our own town, and doing some actual farming. We look forward to everyone continuing to keep the world(s) safe from the spud invasion. However, this does not mean that we are content to bask in the glow of mountains of roasted tubers. While we feel that the game is well balanced with plenty of content available, we are planning for new features and improvements from the early game experience all the way to end game. First, Multiplayer Season 1 will officially commence on September 19th. We thank everyone who has helped us test this feature over the past few months. Your patience and feedback has allowed us to balance and improve the overall experience. As with the initial tests, there will be no P2W aspects in Multiplayer. Farmers can purchase community buffs that everyone will benefit from, but everything else is rewarded in-game. And while we already have a few changes for future seasons in mind, we welcome all feedback to help us continue to improve Multiplayer going forward. And what about the future? We are already working on a new feature for mid-game. We’re hoping to have that ready sometime in October. And we continue to brainstorm new ideas that will help us ascend, nay, transcend to new heights of Farmer power!
