Today, after months of hard work, sweat, tears (and an unhealthy amount of YumYum noodles), we are proud to release this very game into Early Access: Elemental Combat. Thanks again to all of our numerous Alpha Testers, who gave incredibly useful and motivating feedback. This was exactly what we needed to push ourselves the last few steps and the game would not be the same without you. We hope you had as much fun as we had, while working together with us as we fixed bugs and implemented new community features. The Early Access release is an important step for the game to mature. We are striving to make Elemental Combat a major competitive action game, which people love to play all around the world. In the Early Access version you will already have the following features: *Power over the Four Elements: Did you ever dream about raising the ground itself into a powerful wall in front of you? Have you ever wished to shoot fire balls from your fists? Then you will have so much fun checking out the different elements and their unique styles and interaction with each other. *Unique Movement System: Our engineers devised a clever system to track your movements in VR. This system translates your movements into special moves and abilities that give Elemental Combat this special touch of feeling like a super hero. In the future, we will expand the list of abilities and add even more complicated move sets to it. So be ready! *Multiplayer: The Multiplayer is the core of our game. You are showering us with great feedback, tips and ideas and we want to present to you the latest changes of Elemental Combat: Improved Spell Effects We (and many of you) thought, a rotating stone around the fist feels a bit weird. So we gave the Basic Attack Earth a new animation and look. Now you can punch your stony fist into your opponent's face! We have also improved the art and performance of the fire basic attack and the advanced technique and gave them the fiery look and feel they deserve. New animation and visuals for Basic Attack Earth Performance and visual optimization Basic Attack Fire Performance and visual optimization Advanced Technique Fire Blast Destruction Effects added to Barriers We like destroying things. What feels more epic than crushing through a massive earth barrier? You tell us because you can do that now! Added destruction effects to Elemental Barriers Improved Game Feedback To give you a better feedback of how much damage you have dealt to a barrier and how much life it has left - we added a health bar to each elemental barrier. Furthermore, for all of you who have wondered how many basic attacks you have left - now you will see an indicator above the health bar, showing you how many shots of raw elemental force you have left. Added Health Bar to Elemental Barriers Added Basic Attack Indicator to Health Bar Graphical Improvements We changed a lot of things on the graphical settings to improve the quality and performance. You should see better frame rates and a more beautiful look. Improved graphical performance and look Giving the A.I. Some Character Our goal for Elemental Combat is to create a world that feels authentic and believable. This is why we are giving the A.I. opponents some character and in the future we will add story elements and names to them, too. Added more clothing and color variants to the A.I. We optimized the sound and added a new training area (great idea guys!). To add, since our average playtime numbers are still by far the highest among competitive VR games (35 min) and we just released a new update, we would like to give you some more days of the free Alpha Phase to test it out for yourself! Training Area Up in the Wuling mountains, we found a hidden place, where you can train your newly learned skills in peace. Go all out, don’t hold back. Train as long as you want to. Polished Art We polished the arena maps and added some new elements to the fighting grounds. The construction of the monastery have been completed. Now you can for example destroy the tiles around you. UI Update To have your mind clear and the enemy always in sight, we added a new health bar and also added a visual feedback for the elements that you have chosen more directly in your field of view. Now you can fully focus on the fights. Sound Update Your trainer will speak now more loudly with you. Now you will be able to hear him even through the sounds of the elemental forces around you. Fullscreen Mode We understand the pain of creating content for VR. To make life a bit easier, we made the spectator screen fullscreen for easier recording. We are excited to see what you create! Bug Fixes We fixed a critical bug that had the enemy not appearing (probably was too scared or something). Now all the enemies are appearing in the right order to challenge you. They also got a bit of training in the process...you have been warned! We made some adjustments to sound to make it feel more natural. Please keep the feedback coming!
