2.15 Released - 2.16 UnderwayApr 12, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsFirst off 2.15 was a bit of a bear but all finished. 2.16-2.18 Will be a few new menus, cockpit graphics, full hands on tutorial to make it easier for the new players, a few things like that. After the new graphics which shouldnt be to bad we will have a few a combo of expanded endgame options, language packs, and more new content. S.R. 2.15 List 2.15 - Planetary sales tax which is paid to Guild Bank of Planet Owner. Done - Bounty Hunter Upgrade - See If Player has a bounty, Upgrade 2, See the total Amount 500k 12 hours, 500k 12 hours Done - View Guild Menu sort menus, remove fame, achievement and kills until we have some. Done - Where are guild members on the map, Jump Screen Button. Done - Better Notification for Guild Invites Done - Chat randomly stops responding. Done (this one is hard to test by my own) - Where are party members on the map, Jump Screen Button. Done - News On Login Screen For Steam Done - Alert for tutorial in the middle of the screen after first connection. Done - Remove quests involving founding, or ranking up in guild. Done (people who already has the quest in their list, will simply have to turn to “Completed”) - When selling items quickly it reverts to ships and people sell ships on accident even when there are still items in the list. Add confirmation checkbox to the notice to force players to check it and hit sell. Done - Kay Grav - Kaydin Beho Done - More Trader Ai Not Convoys, Well armed freighters. I need to know the faction / type of ship / names of ships / their drops and their path - - Cut down number of ships on screen by 10 so we can increase the overall size of the ships in space. Done - Decrease the amount of ships on screen and scale better. No more midget behos. All ship are now bigger than before, but specicfic scale per ship wasn't modified. -Finish Fixing Memory leak Done (Requires lots of testing, make sure every part of the game still loads correctly as well and also check out the graphics card memory usage) -An issue with achievement notification and planet distress not displaying correctly when received while the player is offline has been fixed. -Ships evasion updates will no longer be uselessly shared from the server to the owning client. -Adjusted the per actor buffer size in order to easily bypass network issues for now. -Added the possibility to disable collision on a UI element while retaining the ability to display hover info. This allow to select and scroll the guild list menu even when hovering above a planet count, and is used for hover display on jump map nodes. So while we have 2.15 mostly mapped out, and will release that info, it will be a few weeks before that patch is up for testing. Shout out to all the testing help from the guys in Discord on 2.14. We are looking for player submissions for new specialty items that will be dropped from Ai. So feel free to create a post in Steam forum, or use the one at angryrabbitstudios.com to post your submissions. Update news 2.14 is currently in testing I think we're on our 5th version of it and fixing things as quick as we can. The testers are doing a great job I would expect this update to be on the live server soon. Will post a final change list in tomorrow, we have added several things based on player feedback on the fly. Few highlights are satellite distress signal that will send out when attacked. This upgrade will notify you in chat, and notifications when your sat is under attack, comes with a 15 minute cool down on the ability. Traders UTD convoy is now in action. Two armed.convoys go near the corridor station, these baby's drop 2000-3000 in goods. But beware they are not a solo hit (ask the guys). Details on the update tomorrow with a full patch list. And that was slowly it seems starting to hit us. We should have probably rebooted after they announced it fixed but we really didn't have much or an issue. Last 48-72 hours we had some weird login reports here and there very sporadic. Got really weird last night about 7 hours ago. I woke up to all sorts of crazyness so had the guys just reboot the server and everything is hunky dory. Told them. Rule 1. Backup and reboot. We have adjusted the memory system and without weeks of testing we wont know 100% and we really needed to get the connection timeouts under control. 2.14 will be out in a few days will get a more exact time as we will need community assistance to test that on the test server. It kind of caught us by surprise and started off as a very rare occurance then got larger and larger of an issue as some data came in. It can cause lack of connection, or a shakey connection. We dont know why some folks have no problem and others have a problem we do however know what the problem is and have it fixed we just need to double check, compile, test and patch. This will be done most likely as i said 12 hours. Along with that there will be some performance updates to game load speed yay :) We still plan to be testing and if no issues a content and other adjustments patch, as well as some changes to Ai and ship stats. Hang tight folks and will have this corrected! S.R.2.12 Patch Timeline Target Weekend of the 18thJan 11, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsHey pilots hope everyone is having a good week and ready for a nice weekend of gaming and relaxing. We will be targeting next weekend for a release of 2.12. This patch will be full of improvements to game speed and performance. Loading the game should be far faster when we are done, so you can start and not look at the pretty wooshy blue cloud as long. Also Ai Changes by very popular demand we are doing our best to further adjust the Ai so they are less swarmy, they should move more often, mingle less, and will take longer before they respond to you being in the node with them. We will keep tweaking the Ai so its a good happy medium for everyone. Some of the information things and lore may or may not get pushed back a week to 2.13. Just depends on how much we get done and tested by patch time next Thursday. We will be posting closer to Thursday for public trials. The test server is all ready for visitors and there will be a specific download and instructions for that. As always keep giving us feed back and suggestions we are hard at work everyday processing and changing to better your experience in game. S.R.Growing Pains and Hot Fixes and next Patch.Dec 30, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsAlright so we have some stuff in game we did that would allow people to quickly auto fill names. Super helpful for tracking, emails, lots of things. However with the large amount of players that have been joining it has created a few packets that are sent that end up being to big and failing. In simple terms craps broke it needs to be fixed. We will be patching this tomorrow early morning probably around 12 or so hours from now. The game is up there's a good number of folks in it. If you can't get in don't rage will get you back in. When we patch we are literally only patching to fix this issue and the server will be back up. We expect a 10 minute down window. I'm the next week (will give notice when we're close) here are things for sure in the next Update Patch. After this will start adding some additional things in game and be looking for how mechanics for taxes and stock market best fit into the Galaxy dynamically. 2.11 Target (2.10 will be the hot fix.)
