The Final Deformers Open Beta is Now Live!Apr 15, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsOur final Steam Open Beta is now live until April 16th at 8:00PM PDT! We'll continue to monitor it, nonetheless, and work on addressing the other more edge-case issues that are resulting in the same error message (please see the previous Partially Fixed service alert). Please make sure you have the latest build by closing the game client and restarting Steam (as this forces any outstanding updates you may have waiting). Thanks again for your all's patience! 4/8/2017 - 3:40PM PT: We are currently investigating an issue some players are experiencing with the progression and reward systems. Affected players appear to be earning experience, prestige, and rewards in the post-round but upon returning to the main menu or Workshop, everything is still at "0". We are currently working on a fix for this issue and hope to have it deployed as soon as possible. Note: Once this issue has been resolved, we'll update the headling from to .[RESOLVED] Service Alert: Players Stuck at Form Chooser ScreenApr 7, 2017 - Community Announcements4/8/2017 - 2:20PM PT: We've recently pushed out an update that we believe should resolve this issue and the issue with players finding themselves stuck at a black screen in between rounds. If you're still encountering this, please let us know on our official bug thread about it or in the comments below. Thanks! 4/7/2017 - 10:30PM PT: We've received reports of players finding themselves stuck at the Form chooser screen (appears after the timer counts down, but before Class select). We've been investigating this issue internally and believe we've narrowed down the cause and have already pushed a hotfix to try and address most cases of this, but are still working on a final resolution to prevent this from happening at all. If you encounter this error you may be able to wait a few seconds for the Forms to fall, but ultimately you may need to restart your game client. Note: Once this issue has been resolved, we'll update the headling from to .Patch Notes: Steam Open Beta Event - April 7th, 2017Apr 7, 2017 - Community AnnouncementsYou can find all of our patch notes on our official Deformers forums! --- Patch Highlights Keybindings Support Added support for rebinding keyboard and mouse controls. These can be set through the Main Menu settings, but cannot currently be updated while in-game. Voice Chat Settings Added in-game Voice Chat options (a work in progress, expect patches to add more functionality and address problems). Deformers University Tutorial Videos Added a main menu button that will bring up the Steam overlay browser so you can watch our Deformers University tutorial videos. Faster Lobby Timers Updated functionality of Lobby timers to count down faster as more players ready up. In-Game Gameplay and Audio Settings Added settings to the in-game pause menu (Gameplay and Audio). You can view the controller and keyboard+mouse layouts through the Gameplay settings menu as well as a quick reference guide. Bug Fixes General 2, 3, and 4-player splitscreen should now work. Fixed the long pause prior to your Forms appearing in the chooser screen before jumping into a match. Fixed an issue where your Form would show up as invisible until it was destroyed. Lobby Usernames longer than 16 characters can now ready up successfully. Usernames with special characters can now ready up successfully. Map selection should now be more randomized (rather than almost always selecting Tipsy Tents). Fixed an issue where the Lobby would reserve slots and not let any other players join, making it impossible for team game modes to start. Known Issues General Controller navigation doesn't work for the Main Menu (works for all sub-menus and in-game). Matchmaking Some players may receive an "Error: Could not connect to lobby" message when attempting to enter a match. If this happens to you, please keep trying! We're investigating on our end and it provides logs for us to further troubleshoot this issue. Progression If you win by the other team forfeiting, it may appear that you have levelled up and gained the rewards for doing so, but this isn’t the case. Settings Pressing the “Default” button in the Audio settings menu will grey out the UI and make the game client unresponsive. The only work-around is to Alt+F4 -- please note that this also affects the in-game Audio settings menu. The Mouse Sensitivity slider doesn’t work through in-game Gameplay settings. The Keybindings menu is not localized. You can set a Keybinding to nothing by clicking outside of the Keybinding pop-up window. Voice Chat If you change Teams or leave/rejoin a Lobby, you will be muted for other players in that Lobby. Please avoid changing teams for now if you would like to communicate over VOIP. If you manage to get back into your original Lobby slot, you’ll be back to normal. We’re continuing to improve Voice Chat settings, however the one that is most stable is the “Always On” setting (open mic). You may experience various other issues with the other available settings. Please make sure to restart your Steam client to ensure you have the latest update installed. We're going to continue monitoring this and pushing out additional updates throughout the remainder of the open beta to address this. Thanks again for everyone's patience and for continuing to re-try matchmaking; all the info it passed along has been super helpful! 4/8/2017 - 2:20PM PT: UPDATE We're continuing to investigate this issue, but believe we've narrowed down the problem. We're working on a tenative fix. As far as ETA, we're eyeing tomorrow (4/9/2017) as we'll need to finish fixing the issue and running additional internal tests with our QA team to verify the changes haven't negatively impacted anything else, then there's a few additional partners we'll need to coordinate with to get the fix pushed to all services before going live. In the meantime, some players have reported that restarting the client temporarily alleviates them of this issue; we're working on getting an interim solution in place so you don't need to restart your client, but you'll still need to retry joining a lobby until it works. We'll update here when that interim fix has been deployed and is available for download. Thanks for your patience, everyone! 4/7/2017 - 6:20PM PT: We are currently investigating an issue some players are experiencing when attempting to connect to lobbies (it seems most prevalent for those joining a Custom game). Players may receive the message "Error: Could not connect to lobby". If you encounter this error, please keep trying to rejoin as it provides valuable diagnostic information for our network team to narrow down the cause of this issue and address it.
