In a statement provided to Kotaku, the publisher said that the decision to close Capcom Vancouver had been made following a review of the titles currently in development at the studio. It has now "decided to cancel the development projects at this studio" and will "concentrate development of major titles in Japan." As a result of the closure, 158 jobs will be lost at Capcom Vancouver. However, a skeleton staff will remain in place until January next year in order to "finalise closure operations and logistics".
