Crafty Survivors 1.0 LaunchMay 16, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello Crafters! The time has finally come! Crafty Survivors 1.0 is HERE! After this long journey of development, the last 2 characters and the last area of the game are added to the game. Wallie, the Builder, and Newston, the Reporter, can be unlocked early in the next area. Both have their own unique mechanics and skills to play. The Talent Skills for both characters are also available in the Village and will further customize and adjust their gameplay in different ways, opening new possibilities. Remember to check their Talents and choose which ones best fit your play style! And if the HEAT was on before, it is now time for the Volcano! The new area has its own materials and field events to fight as well, with its own themed music of course! Let's dive into the Patch Notes first: Patch Notes - v1.0 New Characters Wallie, the Builder The 1st new character ready to join the Roster! The Builder is here to build incredible Machines for battle! Wallie uses his hammer to crush enemies in an area in front of him while repairing his Machines that are hit in the process. His Hammer is the only basic attack in the game that has a healing capability in the base kit, which can be acquired at level 2. Most of Wallie's skills place Machines in the battlefield. The amount of Machines that can be placed in combat is limited, with the limits set by each skill and not by a total number of Machines in general. The stronger the Machine, the less of it can be used. Machines will lose duration over time and can be maintained by his Basic Attack indefinitely, and levelling up his skills will apply the effects of the level to the existing Machines without need to replace them. Placed a Machine at an undesired place or just want to cause chaos? Special Command, Demolish, will be the Builder's way of repositioning Machines out of cooldown if desired, while causing devastating damage in an area around where the Machines were. Put your Machines to use and turn the tides of battle with numbers on your side! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/cbb511ba4273b7fa63fcbfdd98585b85289bc65a.gif Newston, the Reporter The 2nd new character ready to join the Roster! The Reporter will use the power of information to vanquish his enemies! Newston uses his basic attack Camera to deal damage to enemies in a cone in front of him, acquiring a Photo, which is 1 of the requirements of his Special Command, Breaking News. The Special Command Breaking News requires 3 special Information to be activated: a Photo, a Headline and a Content. The Reporter various skills will provide him with the necessary tools to gather these Information and each of them can have 3 Tiers: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Tier quality of said information will impact the end result of Breaking News to deal more damage or gain extra effects. Lower Tiers of Information will not override higher Tiers. Mix and matching skills will be the key to getting the best publication for Breaking News! Newston also has a special skill to "kill him...Daily Newton #16 - Upcoming Steam Community ItemsMay 15, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHey there, Crafters! Have a good day! And keep Crafty!Character Reveal!Apr 5, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello, crafters! How is everyone? With the Full release of 1.0 coming up and the development of the last 2 characters underway, it is time for ANOTHER REVEAL! The 2nd character and the last to join the Crafty Survivors roster is ready for his reveal! A character that has been accompanying the game for a very long time, bringing all sorts of information to the group of survivors in the Village. Meet: Newston, the Reporter {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/9117d705a85f107dd36582adaba147838eb2ac99.png For all that have been checking the in-game mail, this daring Reporter has been constantly sending information back to the other residents as he moved forward is his own adventures, to collect as much information about the plague that assails their lives. Newston has finally completed his job to his satisfaction and decided to join the rest of the gang to use his sources against the pesky Malignants! The Reporter is a short ranged character, that utilizes his camera to damage enemies and take photos in the process. This Photos are specially important as 1 portion of his Special Command, Breaking News. Special Command, Breaking News requires 3 different sources of information to become available and the Tier quality of said information will impact the end result of Breaking News to deal more damage or gain extra effects. These information can be gathered by Newston from his Basic Attack Camera or from his different skills, and will be held until the Special Command is activated. Different enemies will provide different Tier qualities of these required information, and higher tiers cannot be overwritten by lower tiers. His base kit allows him to get Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers, with his Talent Tree allowing to got 1 tier beyond them. Breaking News needs a Photo, a Headline and a Content. Different skills can provide different sources, so mix and matching them will be the key to getting the best publication for the Special Command. His Talent Tree will also allow skills to gather more than 1 source under certain conditions, which will open his kit to more flexibility. Newston also has a special skill to "kill himself"! He won't die exactly, but it is a fun skill that we designed for him to be able to throw enemies off his scent! Turn information into power with Newston! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/3b859f0deb9ba3f122ad60ec76fda6fe1e2587f7.gif The Reporter is finally coming! We hope everyone enjoys meeting Newston! Thank you all again for being a part of this journey with us and playing Crafty Survivors. We are not far from the Full Release and debut of the 1.0 of the game! Newston is the 15th and last character to join the roster for the final game! He has been around for quite a while and some people in the community showed quite a bit of interest in him from the start, so we are really excited to finally get to his announcement! Look forward for his debut in version 1.0!Character Reveal!Mar 26, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello, crafters! How is everyone? With the Full release of 1.0 coming up and the development of the last 2 characters underway, it is time for a REVEAL! We are revealing him now, as his animations are ready and implementation has already began! Meet: Wallie, the Builder {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/dab4334d1d27dc1852a71e8437bb0186f0c7f88c.png For those who accompany the letters and news in-game, this man has been mentioned a few times as the one responsible to rebuild all the buildings in the Village. A kind-hearted person who always puts others first in detriment of his own well-being, Wallie has been focused on rebuilding everyone else's houses before repairing his own place, so he has been crashing at the restaurant all along. (close to the food, what a smart man) Now that most buildings are up to a good standard, Wallie decided it is time to join everyone to find out what is happening in the world. The Builder is a slow melee combatant, that smashes the ground with his hammer, covering a good area to deal high damage. His hammer is also tied to another portion of his mechanic: repairing! Now, repairing what? Well, repairing what is created from his skills, of course! Wallie's entire kit involves utilizing Turrets for combat, from attacking turrets to defensive ones, that will assist him in the fights ahead. His Turrets however, have a durability timer, so they will break after a certain duration if they are not repaired (which might now be a bad idea depending on strategy). Wallie can place a limited number of Turrets on the battlefield, with the limits set by each skill and not by a total number of Turrets in general. Not happy with the placement of a Turret or just want to cause devastation on its area? Special Command Demolish can instantly destroy a Turret and explode it, causing damage in the area and clearing a Turret from the limits of his skill. How about turning the fight into a Tower Defense battle? Walie is your guy for the job! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/cbb511ba4273b7fa63fcbfdd98585b85289bc65a.gif Hope everyone is looking forward to meet the Builder! Thank you all again for being a part of this journey with us and playing Crafty Survivors. We are not far from the Full Release and debut of the 1.0 of the game! We haven't set a date for it yet, but we have an overall idea of when it would be an appropriate time for it. This shall be revealed further into the future as we finalize the content of the game and get it ready for the Full Release. One more character to be revealed later on! So keep an eye on it!Patch Notes - v0.10.0.1Mar 18, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsPatch Notes - v0.10.0.1 Adjustments Keyra's Master Talent - Chain Reaction: Limited the amount of Special Keys that can be spawned from the reaction of this Talent, to reduce performance issues from too many keys. Changed confirmation Button for picking up a skill from Left Shift to Space Bar, to avoid issues with Steam Overlay. Fixes Fixed the missing information and ingredients from Grand Hydra's elixir; Added a few fail safes for some Boss and Challenge achievements, as some players were not granted the achievement when conditions were met; Fixed the display of the Accessibility Dodge Icon for the Locksmith, as it was showing a number when she doesn't have stacks; Fixed Gamepad navigation in the Village between the new building and other existing buildings. Key to Victory! - v0.10.0Mar 17, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHello Crafters! How is everyone doing? New patch is here, bringing some closure to the HEAT! The Desert area is complete with all its challenges and bosses. The 13th character, Keyra, is joining the roster today! A new mechanic exclusive for the Locksmith, as a new ranged attacker, and some of the most ambitious animations I've done so far for the game among her skills. The Patch also brings new challenges and bosses to fight, as it wraps up the Desert. Keyra also has her Talent Skills in the Village Systems, which can affect her gameplay. So remember to check which ones work for you the most and make the most out of your build for the Locksmith. This is also the LAST major update before the 1.0 release of Crafty Survivors! There will be no new content and characters added during Early Access, so the next 2 characters will debut TOGETHER with the full release of the game! Maybe a sneak peek of both at the end of this Patch Note? We shall see at the bottom! Let's dive into the Patch Notes: Patch Notes - v0.10.0 New Character Keyra, the Locksmith A new character is ready to join the Roster! The Locksmith is here to unlock her path to everyone's hearts! Keyra is capable of Locking and Unlocking enemies to deal extra damage to them in a small area. She is a ranged character, that throws small keys in the direction aimed, and these projectiles can interact with her skills and a special debuff on enemies. Most of Keyra's skills need to be activated by her basic attack Key or her special command Grand Key. Depending on the size of the lock, the key required will be different, so choosing the appropriate attack for the skill is necessary. One of her skills requires both keys to activate! Careful positioning and timed activation may be the KEY to success. Her Grand Key is specially useful to get out of tricky situations. Keyra throws a big key attached to a chain in the direction aimed, that flies until attaching itself to a big lock. The key will vanish if it misses a lock. If attached to a big lock, the skill can be reactivated to pull Keyra towards the skill and activate it, causing damage to enemies in her path and making Keyra invulnerable while flying towards the lock. A way of keeping herself safe! She also has a special skill that can lock her health bar! It can be tricky to use, but it can turn the tables in battle completely! Lock your enemies and unlock the path to your victory with the Locksmith! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/101a05bc7e5042cc7858eb7b624400037d690492.gif Area Desert New bosses and challenges; New materials. General New mail to receive and find; New elixirs to unlock new skills; New achievements. Adjustments General Localization content updated for Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese; Adjustments to get the game ready for 1.0. Fixes Fixed an issue with some Colosseum Stages as they were not working properly with the database and some characters; Added a few failsafes for some achievements that might not be granted when com...Daily Newton #12 - The New YearJan 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHi Crafters, How is the new year starting for you all? Did you all have some delicious treats during the final days of the last year? Unfortunately, as you all might have noticed already, we weren't able to complete the development of the Locksmith in time to end the previous year. We decided that rushing her content was not a good idea in the end, because any rushes done while developing the new content would probably bring more problems than benefits, so we pushed it to this year. Her development is still going strong though! :) With the release of the Locksmith on update 0.10, I will also add a sneak peek of the last 2 characters that will come after her, just to give a taste of what to expect, as usual. There's not much more to be added to this News, so I thought about opening this specific one for questions and curiosities you all may have. Ask your questions as comments in here and I will answer them as replies on the comments section as well. Just keep them respectful, please. That is all for today, with the Daily Newton! More information in the future, so keep an eye out for it. Have a good day! And keep Crafty!Daily Newton #11 - Upcoming Community ItemsDec 16, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHi Crafters, How is the end of the year treating you all? The development of the 13th character is going according to plan and we are quite excited for her to join the roster. As we continue the development of the content of Crafty Survivors, we also want to get the Community Items done for the game. We want to open the opportunity for our community to vote on what characters they would like to see on the Trading Cards in the near future, between the 15 characters for the game. We are still thinking about how the voting would work, but we still need to reveal 2 more characters for players to choose from. We have decided on a total of 5 Trading Cards for Crafty Survivors, which means that only 5 characters will be chosen in the end. Having more than 1 character per card would be too cramped, and they wouldn't be showcased in a decent manner. We think that the most appropriate time to add these features would be for the 1.0 update with the full release of Crafty Survivors. I will make a new post with the pool in the future for those interested in it to participate. As for the next portion of the content. As we mentioned, Keyra is going to join the roster in the version 0.10 with the rest of the Desert area, more challenges and bosses to conquer, and some mail to know more about the world of Crafty Survivors. We are working very hard to get this content ready before the end of the year, so hopefully she will launch soon! And to wrap this News up! For those who haven't checked it yet, we announced our new game, Scaling Up, a few weeks ago. If you are interested in a chill experience, check it out and Wishlist it, please! (I don't think I can put the link to it here since it is not a cross promotion.) That is all for today, with the Daily Newton! More information in the future, so keep an eye out for it. Have a good day! And keep Crafty!Patch Notes - v0.9.2.1Dec 7, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsPatch Notes - v0.9.2.1 Adjustments Adjusted controller navigation on the Smithing, Weaving, Kitchen and Laboratory Menus, allowing players to scroll up and down from the first and last characters respectively to quickly go between them; Added Left Shift Key as a confirm Button. It can be used on any UI menu to confirm actions, such as choosing a skill on Level Up when playing on Keyboard; Added more Bells to the Haunted Grounds Stage EX4 to help in the fight against the boss, so players don't have to lure the boss too much to a bell. Fixes Fixed the database of the Secret's Dealer, since it was missing the new purchasable Secrets. Talented People - v0.9.2Dec 6, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHello Crafters! How are you all doing at the end of this year? The Holidays are approaching quite fast! And I certainly cannot wait to eat like crazy. This update is bringing the Talents mentioned before on the Daily Newton. These will have some mechanic changes for the characters that can alter their gameplay, so we hope players have fun changing between them and testing their builds! Let's dive into the Patch Notes: Patch Notes - v0.9.2 What are the Master Talents Each character will have access to 1 or 2 Master Talents at the end of their Talent Trees at the Weaving and Smithing Systems. These crazy talents will make huge impact in their gameplay, either by tuning them up a notch or changing a lot of its aspects! Trying different combinations of these talents may create a complete difference experience for certain characters! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42919706/0297bbaf6eec5ac98a57a582a68b66ec7fba22f7.png Areas Desert Unlocked new Stages of the area; New field events to fight; New Materials to collect; New Secrets at the Secrets Dealer. Village New Talents for all characters. New Buildings in the Village to get the game ready for the next characters in the future. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue with some of the Colosseum Stages, as they couldn't be accessed properly and would result in an infinite loading screen; Fixed the check for certain achievements as the game wasn't looking for completion after a certain threshold of a few achievements (like the Setting Up the Buffet achievement); Fixed a bug after completing the battle against the Corrupted Necromancer in the Haunted Grounds that would make the controls unavailable, forcing players to quit the game; Next Steps We are now working on the 13th character of the game, Keyra, to complete the Desert area. The next major update will debut her with the bosses of the area, to wrap up the Desert content, before moving to the final part of the game and the last 2 playable characters. Their buildings have already been added to the Village, as both are former residents of the beloved place where the game begins. We want to release Keyra before the end of this year. Hopefully we will be able to make it! There's a lot of her already ready for development, so it doesn't look impossible. Hope everybody enjoys these new Talents and what they bring for each of the characters. Also, for those who haven't checked it yet, we have announced our next game! Please, if you enjoy the games we do and you like city builders/colony sims, Wishlist it on Steam when you can! It would mean a lot to us!
