Convergence Compulsion

Convergence Compulsion is becoming free + Steam Deck newsApr 22, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsSo, a while ago, I quietly set the price for this game to $0--turns out setting your game to free on Steam requires a ticket to support. I've taken care of that part now, so pretty soon new players should be able to download the game again. Other than that, I managed to snag a Steam Deck, and so I've been doing a little work to test compatibility. So far, it's looking good. Need to test with some other people though. If you try this game on Deck, hit me up and tell me how it worked! Here on community, on Twitter, wherever you can! Thanks for playing!v1.8.0 - New menus! Check them out!Dec 14, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsFirst update in a while, but here it is: new menus! Check the patch notes here: https://joedaywalt.games/games/convergence-compulsion/patch-notes And keep an eye out for a devlog (at the website above) about why the new look, the new URL, and all that stuff. Thanks for playing!1.7.X - The Halloween Event has EndedNov 9, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsUPDATE: 1.7.1 fixes an uncommon and low-impact error that popped up sometimes during the game's shutdown sequence. Thanks to Eric H. for reporting this! With version 1.7.0, the Convergence Compulsion Halloween event is over. I hope you had fun finding all the secrets and smashing pumpkins! Anything you unlocked sticks around forever, but you'll have to get the codes you missed from other players--they'll still work, but you can't find them with the "?" tokens. Thanks for playing!Convergence Compulsion's Halloween Event Begins!Oct 26, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsToday marks the start of the Convergence Compulsion Halloween event. Get it now and unlock a cast of spooky characters and get to smashing pumpkins! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38290812/ed874a6eca5a7d9168c84951200093b2593438bf.gif I’m really happy with the splat sound I found for these. There’s also a new music track, based on a couple of iconic Castlevania tunes. Anything you unlock—plus the music—stays after the event; the codes, however, can only be found for a limited time! I hope you have fun! And don’t smash anyone else’s pumpkins, alright? Thanks for playing! --- UPDATE: As of version 1.6.1, the OPTIONS > CHARACTERS menu will start with your current character selected.v1.5.0 Brings some new music!Oct 15, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHi again! This weeks release brings mostly one big front-facing change: new music! There's couple of other smaller changes, too. Read about them at the link below. And get ready for the Halloween event with the next update! Cheers! Convergence Compulsion 1.5.0 Patch Notesv1.4.0 Brings Treasure and Persistent Secrets!Oct 1, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsAfter a bit of a delay, v1.4.0 is up and ready for you! One of the big additions is the treasure box, which is a fun, new way to score points that gives you a choice: score a little bit now for a chance at more later, or take the big score now and get no more treasure for the rest of the run. The other one is the SECRETS menu, which allows you to toggle secrets you’ve previously unlocked without reentering the codes. Along with that, most codes are persistent between runs now. There’s a couple other changes to note, which you can read about here.v1.3.4 Some fixes and a music tweakSep 17, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsHey! Small update this week. Just some bug fixes and new music that plays when the waves crash in vertically! Read about the rest of the changes--and an update on Mac 64-bit support here.v1.3.0 Brings Untold Secrets!Sep 10, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsThis week's update is a big one, but I can't tell you all the details. It's a secret! Quite a few secrets, even! There's more to come, and you can get a head-start on the hunt by joining the mailing list during start-up. Bug fix v1.3.2: fixes a crash that can happen when you interact with one of the secrets. Thanks to Kohrek for reporting this one! All of the library and store images have been updated, to match the cleaner UI look. As always, you can get the full details in the epi log. Thanks for over 30 thousand matches!Version 1.1.0 is now availableAug 13, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsJust a couple of front-facing changes this week, though the background work was large.
