Fatalities Enemy humanoid NPCs have a chance to enter a dazed state upon receiving what would normally be a fatal blow Once dazed, approach the front of the enemy and attack them with a melee weapon to perform a gruesome finisher. Each weapon type has a unique animation! Performing fatalities adds a temporary, but stacking buff Follower Overhaul Control over follower behavior has been removed from the follower radial menu and replaced with a new menu in the follower's inventory panel Follower Command Radial inputs more fluid - now makes selections on release rather than requiring a second click/button tap New "Flee" command will instruct your followers to run from combat and regroup with you New "Wait/Defend Here" command will instruct your followers to stand in the indicated location until instructed otherwise. Aggressive and Defensive followers will fight to defend the location while Passive and Pacifist followers (such as mounts) will avoid combat while staying near the location. "Attack" and "Return" commands have been reworked to be more reliable when the follower is already in combat "Stop" command has been removed Destructible Camps in Siptah New destructible camps may be found at X’Chotl and New Luxur in Siptah Bases are fully destructible, similar to the Fortress at al-Mereyah Enemies do not respawn until the camp resets New Purge Encounters The Stygian Legion, determined to take back what is theirs, have enlisted additional forces to Purge these lands from exiled filth. Be wary of shadowy thieves, stalwart champions, and even sorcerers capable of creating golems or raining fire from the sky. These encounters are aimed at higher difficulty purges and offer the purge new ways to counter your defenses. Good luck! Purges above difficulty 9 no longer have Prisoner waves New Buildable Siege Weapon - the Ballista! Ballista is unlocked via the Knowledge menu tab at level 30 Built on a Siege Weapon Base, which is built on top of a Siege Foundation. The Siege Weapon Base can then be upgraded into either the Trebuchet, or the Ballista Interact with the front of the Ballista to open its inventory, and the back (where the cranks are) to operate it. Hold down secondary/heavy attack to charge up the ballista Fire with primary attack Ballista ammunition is crafted inside the Ballista Two different kinds of ammunition, each with 3 tiers: Bolts and Balls. Chapter 3 is right around the corner so we’re releasing the current beta publicly so you can have an early look at what’s coming! Chapter 3 will introduce a new mechanic we hope you get to love as much as we did creating it: Golem Shaping! Gather different parts and raise your golem in the new workbenches. Depending on which parts you use, you will be able to raise guardian golems that will follow you in your quests, or utility golems that will gather resources for you on demand! Take it one step further with the coatings to further customize your creations! Chapter 3 will also introduce a new encounter! A moon eclipse is looming over the nightime skies. We’ve been working on a patch to address several performance and stability issues reported over the past weeks, as well as a bunch of other general issues. Since this is a pretty hefty patch with some important fixes, we wanted to release it first on the Public Beta Test branch of the game to gather some feedback before it goes live on all platforms. Optimized loading times especially on lesser hardware and old gen consoles. This should result in shorter loading times in some cases. Addressed an issue that could cause abnormally long loading times after respawning. Fixed an issue that caused framerate to drop when placing Illusionist Mirrors. Improved performance when opening inventory boxes or opening crafting stations. This should be most noticeable on last-gen consoles. Spawning undead via the Admin panel should no longer crash the game, but it will still bother the necromancer union. Optimized memory usage of spells. Implemented optimization changes which should result in lesser memory usage and derived performance problems when being near NPCs and fighting. Improved memory usage when receiving resources into the inventory. Implemented a system that will prioritize loading of models based on whether they are visible or occluded by building pieces or placeables. This should improve performance and game stability in busy areas by avoiding out of memory crashes. We hope you’ve had a great time with Age of Sorcery so far, sinking your teeth deep into all the new systems introduced in the last update and finding out the powers within Sorcery. Today we’re letting you have an early look at what’s coming with Chapter 2, where we introduce a new Encounter type (psst, Events are now called Encounters!), Head Hunting! You can now find head hunter contracts where you will have to hunt down nefarious Sorcerers hidden in the lands. It will be your choice to bring them back dead or alive! With this new Encounter we are also adding a new special encounter, Witch Hunter. Explore the lands to find more about it! This update will also introduce a new Battle Pass revolving this mechanic, with new challenges and rewards, as well as a new batch of items for the Bazaar. Along with that, we are also starting our pet companion rebalance. This will be the first step in revising pets moving forward, with the intention of bringing them up to a level where they can be at a similar level to other followers. There will be more changes to come in future patches, so keep an eye out! And of course, with this new update we are releasing a bevy of bug fixes to reported issues, including fixes to the most common crashes, fixes to texture and invisible issues reported with the release of Age of Sorcery and much more.
