Skill Points Bug The team is hard at work on a final fix for an issue relating to their skill tree and points, which caused some players to receive too many skill points. As a result, they would not receive any additional points the next time they leveled up. This should not happen anymore. However, players who have experienced this may continue to not receive skill points when leveling up. This will be resolved in our next patch, where we will reset the skill tree and reallocate all points depending on your level. Hope you enjoy it!Conan Chop Chop is (finally) coming out on the 1st of March!Feb 9, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsWe first teased this game on April 1st, 2019. The joke there was that nobody would believe it was real while, in the background, we were very seriously working on this game. At E3 that year we took to the stage at the PC Gamer Show to announce that it was in fact coming out, and soon. We announced a release date of September 2019. The lesson to be learned there is do not mess with fate. If you try to mess with the power of April fools, it will turn around and make a fool out of you. The pandemic is certainly a factor in the delays. But the truth is, we knew we could make the game even better if we spent more time on it. And we're so happy we've given this game the time it has needed because it's become such a joy to play especially in co-op. So, without any further fake-outs or switch-a-roos, Conan Chop Chop is finally ready. We will be releasing a free Demo at the Steam Next Fest on the 21st of February, and after that we're releasing the full game on the 1st of April. Wait, no, bad idea. We’ll release it on the 1st of March! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35215204/2b9869fb37230b8776bcab0e97fbcb400fbb0bff.jpg Conan Chop Chop is a party rogue-lite for 1-4 players full of mayhem, loot, and adventure. It was the warm reception received in 2019 that kept us moving forward in the hopes of making Chop Chop the game that it can be!Conan Chop Chop Release Moved to Q2 2020Feb 12, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsWith all the elements of a hack and slash rogue-lite for 1-4 players being packed into one game, it’s no wonder developer Mighty Kingdom and publisher Funcom have decided to move the launch of Conan Chop Chop from February 25th to Q2 2020. We're almost at the finish line, but we need a little extra time to optimize the game for online multiplayer. This also gives us a chance to add extra polish to the game. It's all about getting that final Chop in place. It's not a one-chop game, it's Conan Chop Chop, and we need that extra attention to detail.Conan Chop Chop will be out in FebruaryDec 18, 2019 - PC GamerConan Chop Chop was 'announced' on April 1 as a joke, but was then revealed to be a real game at 2019's PC Gaming Show. A couple months later, it met the first and only criterion for being a real game: being delayed. Now we have a final, final release date: Chibi Conan and pals will start chopping their way through ghouls on February 25, 2020. Chop Chop is described as a "roguelite" by publisher Funcom, and as a "party game" for up to four players, with both online and local co-op support. The Steam page has a few more details, but the premise is pretty clear: collect items and weapons, adventure across 2D maps, and chop everything that needs chopping. It's a familiar-looking game, coming off as something like Enter the Gungeon or Nuclear Throne but with swords, spears, and hammers instead of guns. Whether or not it can match the brilliance of those games we'll find out next year. The flatness of the vector-style art doesn't do much for me, but the cleanliness of its colors and lines is perhaps part of the joke—it diverges as much as possible from what one expects from a Conan the Barbarian game. I've embedded the new trailer above if you want to get a better sense of Conan Chop Chop's chopping. Conan Chop Chop, the April Fool's joke that became a real game, delayed to 2020Aug 26, 2019 - PC GamerFuncom announced Conan Chop Chop on April 1, and in case you didn't notice the timing it was very clearly an April Fools joke. A couple of months later, the joke was on us when Funcom announced that it's actually a real game that would be out in September. But due to an expanded scope, it won't hit that mark. Conan Chop Chop is a hack-and-slash action-roguelike with couch co-op support for up to four players, and that's apparently gone over very well with people who've got their hands on the pre-release demo. So now Funcom and developer Mighty Kingdom have decided to take it further with the addition of online multiplayer as well. "We had an absolute blast showcasing the game at E3 and Gamescom earlier this year. It was especially gratifying to see how much fun people had playing the game in co-op mode. The teamwork, the banter, the way people moved ever so sneakily towards their near-death companions in order to pick up their gold when they fall. We couldn’t have been happier with the reception," Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes said. "This has undoubtedly been THE most requested feature after we started showing off the game, so we’re very excited for the opportunity to bring that in." Naturally, that's going to take a little extra time, and so Conan Chop Chop is now slated to come out sometime in the first quarter of 2020. It’s a cutesy dungeon crawler with 1-4 player co-op. Mighty Kingdom made it, Funcom are publishing it. It’ll be out around September. Good. Fine. Good. Can we talk about these horrible leggy brain things in this picture I found please. What? Why? How do they even feed? Do they have telekinetic powers like the Brain Bugs in Starship Troopers? If so, why are they running into chop-chopping distance? Brains don’t do well against swords, that’s the whole point of skulls. Why are there legs coming out of their cerebellums? How can they fit the required neurological and muscular apparatus in there? Are those purple splats on the other side of the screen the remains of defeated brain bugs? Is that a CHUFFING WEB?
