And as per our last announcement: Game Update Overall, we made the game easier and more fluid. And the peaceful mode will be for builders, really. The game was supposed to be something that challenges you, but at the same time, something you will enjoy watching the Lings going on with their lives. This update is about this and your requests. CHANGES Changed how the game difficulty increases overall. Changed actions overall speed (cooking, crafting, working, etc). Changed heated decrease time. Changed how strong is the heated penalty. Changed how snow impacts your village and Lings. Changed all types of penalties for the Lings. Changed how items and equipment are affected by game penalties. Changed enemy waves timer, it is now according to current changes. Changed difficulty for fire spreading. Changed creatures relation for trading, attacking and failing missions. Updated to Unity 2018 version for better performance. FIXES Camera movement fixed. Job changes instantly. You do not need to wait for changing tools. Fixed achievements not always working. There were a lot of changes, from Board members or even strategy direction. We are sorry for the lack updates, but we almost closed the company and things went in a different way. All the founders are back now and we are releasing a new update, with the most requested changes you asked. It will go live in June 15, if not earlier. This game is not the same as other city builders, we wanted to make something that you have full control of whats going on, without losing the life part of the Lings. Sadly, we know, now, we did not make it as good as we wanted or even as you expected. But we are improving and a new update is coming, hopefully it will add most of the things you requested. Yes, we did want a new update to come last year, as we invested a lot of time, effort and love in the game. It was not possible due to a lot of things in the company and also in our current business. If you already developed a game, you know what we are talking about. A lot of things changes, from big studios to small studios like ours (we were a 2 man studio and hired an awesome team to work with us in Community INC). This new update has been developed by the same team that released the game. The update is now live and this is part of been a developer. Please, do not link other games that does not have anything to do with this one. About the Game Like some said, the game is hard... but we know people that have hundreds of play hours finished already, hope you can still try it again and have fun. This version makes it easier and also enables you to try different challenges. We tried to make it more fun to play. Remember, you will never be able to make everyone happy and you always have the option to sell the village. Changes v1.0.14 Lings change tools immediately after changing professions. Items selling system changed - now creatures that will buy will pay it more and have a better decision (also changed timer and pathfinding on this, Lings don't need to be inside exactly in the Shop, making it much easier for you to sell). Big changes on "Happy" system (no more big suicide mass, maybe you will still have it lol). Changes on fire spread and this can affect buildings around. Warehouse size changed. Removed wrong description from some professions. Sadly, towers were not possible to add in the game, so we fixed texts also. Changed some of the achievements requirements. Join fences were not possible due to internal changes, so we kept the way it was (it was not a bug, we justed wanted to add as a feature before). Many UI fixes. The cabinets become useless after all books have been read, so it just works as "comestics" to make it more beautiful. It is up to you to destroy it or not. Fishes grow faster now and become more useful. Arrows works better when hunting. More combats, but not impossible to win. We tried to fix a lot of UI for Chinese, but we really don't know what is happening inside UI with the engine that makes only Chinese language so small. We hope you enjoy. CHANGES Money cost per object destroyed changed to 2 instead of 20. Education changed: now it will always receive between 20 and 40 points when finishing reading. If you have books stored, it can go from 30 to 60. If you play on "Freeplay", all Lings starts educated already (also, no bad events in freeplay). Increased Rabbit collision detection. Increased Lings checking places according to PC specs (better response). Changed cost for some Research. FIXES Improved pathfinding. We will work more on this. Fixed fancy chair not possible to place on ground. Update v1.0.8 - August 5th, 2017 NEW You can now craft Worker Workbench without another workbench (Builders can do that), but you will still need the basic materials (Wood and Stone). Plantations (food and cotton) are now automated for harvest. After a few seconds, if the player does not mark to forage, it will mark itself. But this feature can be toggled on and off on screen (default is ON). V-Sync is now an option (go to graphics menu in-game). CHANGES Not all workers can now take materials to buildings (only Builders and some others). Lings now will carry less items on inventory, making them go faster to storage. Changed timer for physics on resources dropped on ground to avoid objects flying. Fish spot will now grow faster. Warehouses needs less materials to build. Only one water bucket is needed to take out fire spots. Meteors will not be so hard anymore (max of 8 objects on fire and it is more randomized). Rain does not affect anymore the warmth, only at night, as normal. Still, pay attention to winter, craft better clothes before there. FIXES Camera and warriors has now the correct movement (if you hold the right mouse, you can move the camera and the warrior will not move by mistake. Warriors will move without the camera moving by mistake). Fixed Traders sometimes not receiving XP during a trade. Fixed Shops collider, so players now can not build too near from other objects (making path impossible to go). Fixed road and building bug, where Lings could not reach points sometimes due to wrong pathfinding collision (if you have this bug, you need to start a new village). Fixed some English typos. Fixed bug where a tent was destroyed and Lings will not change to beds. (if you have this bug, you need to start a new village). UI texts adjusted in some windows. Starting storage space increased from 600 to 800. Creatures may come now to visit in day 2, not only after day 2. No more FPS locked. FIXES Night audio reduced.
