This hotfix should fix the license issues some people were experiencing and will get everyone access to the content they have bought a license for. The patch will be updated automatically by the Steam client. If that is not the case, please try and restart your client. We would like to thank those who downloaded the beta patch and helped us test it. You can now opt out of the beta program again in the same way you opted in. Just select the “None – Opt out of betas” option. If you are facing any more issues after installing this patch, please let us know and describe the circumstances in which the bug occurred as detailed as possible. Thank you for your support. SurturThe Flare Path: Battleships, Gunships, RosehipsOct 23, 2015 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunWhile much of the European Regional Development Fund is frittered away on Spanish zeppelin termini and 200ft-tall unicorn sculptures for Romanian mountain tops*, some does end up in the hands of genuinely deserving recipients like JetCat Games. The Vilnius-based studio are using a slither of the vast EC money pie to help build a multiplayer military chopper game. Currently in closed alpha, Heliborne has ‘POTENCIALAS’ written all over it. * probably … 1.09 Beta Patch is now availableOct 23, 2015 - Community AnnouncementsAs some of you are facing issues with the license checks for Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations and Command: Northern Inferno, we have created a beta patch that we hope may fix the issues. We’re not sure why it is happening but we swapped the order 2 lines of code are executed and we think this may help. It might sounds silly but we suspect this order is what’s causing the issue but as we can’t repeat it here we can’t be sure and need your help to validate it. We need as many people as possible to try this patch. Even if the game was working before, we need to know it’s still working! It works fine for us, but it did before too so we can’t validate its fixed. To get the beta patch follow these instructions. It’s very simple to do so don’t worry if you are not technical! Here are step by step instructions. - Go to your steam games library in the steam client - Right click on the game - Command (NI or CMANO, whichever you use) and select properties Note the tabs across the top – select the beta tab - From the drop down list of betas select the "Beta" This will queue the beta update (its very small only a few MB so will be quick once it starts) In your game library the name of the game will have (Public Beta) appended to it to show you have the beta version. If the download does not start you may have to exit steam and reload it to force it. You can also sometimes force it by going to the list of downloads and forcing the update to apply. Whenever you want to opt out of the beta follow the instructions above, and from the drop down list just select None – opt out of betas. Please let us know if this beta patch fixes your issues and we will make it public. If your problems are not addressed, please let us know (in as much detail as possible!) what error messages you are getting and what you were trying to do at this point. We are sorry for the issues introduced with this patch and we are dedicated to bringing a fix to everyone who is experiencing the licensing issues. Thanks for your help in resolving this – we really appreciate it! The Slitherine & Warfaresims Teams - SurturThe scenarios of Northern InfernoOct 21, 2015 - Community AnnouncementsAs you probably know by now, Northern Inferno is coming this Thursday as part of the massive v1.09 update. The first DLC pack for Command, NI is also important as its standalone nature allows players to purchase and enjoy it regardless of whether they already own CMANO or not. Let’s peruse the 15 scenarios that comprise this epic WW3 campaign. Each scenario can be played either as part of the campaign (in which case reaching a certain “pass score” is necessary in order to advance to the next scenario) or in standalone mode like all other CMANO scenarios. Here is the list: 1) Opening Moves: Soviet submarines are rushing across the Norwegian Sea, heading for the Greenland-Iceland-UK (GIUK) gap, doorway to the Atlantic. NATO naval forces mobilize to stem the tide. 2) Goblin on the doorstep: Amidst the growing crisis, the British strategic nuclear submarine HMS Revenge is putting out to sea. Soviet strategic doctrine dictates targeting and destroying these invaluable assets as soon as possible during a crisis or war. It’s a long way out to the safety of deep water… 3) The Fast and the Furious: The war is spreading. A powerful Soviet amphibious force is heading towards northern Norway, screened by multiple squadrons of missile fast-attack craft. With the bulk of NATO’s Atlantic forces already committed elsewhere, what can Norway do to blunt the invasion? 4) Barents Sea Boomers: After absorbing punch after punch, NATO swings to the offensive by applying one of the key tenets of the 1980′s Maritime Strategy: Hunt down and attempt to sink the Soviet strategic submarines (SSBNs) inside their protective bastions. 5) Beware of the Badger: Norway has been invaded. The US and UK are rushing heavy amphibious forces to support the bulwark in the north. But the Soviet Naval Aviation’s missile-armed bombers roam over the Norwegian Sea. Will enough reinforcements reach Norway to matter? 6) The Grey Ghost from the East Coast: Taking a page out of the WW2 Kriegsmarine playbook, the Soviet Navy is sending its Sverdlov heavy cruisers down the Denmark strait, bypassing the battered Icelandic defences, in hopes of further straining NATO’s overburdened Atlantic screen. Standing in their way is a USN surface group centered around the Newport News, the US Navy’s last heavy-gun cruiser. Can the “Grey Ghost” and her cohorts crash the Sverdlov raiding party? 7) The Mighty O: Iceland has been heavily bombarded and then seized by Soviet forces. Soon, Soviet naval bombers will be able to operate from the polar island’s airbases, striking at will all over the Atlantic. For NATO, this is unacceptable – and the carrier Oriskany will spearhead the operation to shut Iceland down. 8) Damn The Torpedoes: A large, vital NATO convoy is approaching Europe with cargo and container ships as well as oil tankers. The Soviet Union has warned NATO that any further overseas reinforcement of Europe “will dramatically escalate the situation”. The Red Banner Fleet’s submarine force is gunning for t...Command: Northern Inferno gets two Twitch Streams this Week!Oct 21, 2015 - Community AnnouncementsOnly few hours stand between you and World War III.
