City Transport Simulator Tram

CTS: Bus is here – Thank You for an Amazing Launch!Jun 13, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsThank You for an Amazing Launch! We're absolutely thrilled about the successful release of City Transport Simulator: Bus – our very first fully self-developed game. This was a huge step for us, and it means a lot to see how positively you've received the game. Whether it's on Steam, Discord, or social media: your feedback has not only been incredibly plentiful, but also super helpful – and that's exactly why we want to give you a quick behind-the-scenes look at what we’re working on and what you can expect in the next updates. 🔧 First Update: Save Files Fixed Some of you experienced issues with your previous save files at launch – especially Early Access players whose progress didn’t carry over correctly. This was due to changes in the save system we had to make when taking over publishing responsibilities, which caused a specific set of data to break. With today’s hotfix, this issue is resolved. The game will now automatically recognize your correct save data – no manual action required. 🛠 What’s Next? Our Immediate Goals Of course, we're already working on the next steps – your feedback has made it very clear which areas need improvement. A key point is that AI-controlled bus lines are currently missing for CTS: Tram owners. We're aiming to fix this with the next update. We've also been made aware of a crash issue that can occur when using custom key bindings. A fix is already in the works. Until then, resetting your key bindings in the control settings can help avoid crashes. We’re also developing a Field of View (FOV) setting, so you can adjust the in-cabin view – especially useful if you need a better look at your mirrors, for example. Another issue affects players who don’t own the Depot + South Line DLC: they're currently being reset to Eglundsdorf station while driving trams. We’re already working on a solution for that as well. 🧠 AI & Traffic Light Behavior In parallel, we’re continuing to improve traffic lights and right-of-way rules, to make traffic flow more realistic and easier to understand. Optimization of signal cycles is ongoing, with the goal of speeding up traffic flow in a realistic way. 🎮 Bus Controls For those of you who prefer to play with a keyboard, we’ve included three different steering modes at launch: The realistic mode adjusts the steering speed based on how fast you're driving. The continuous mode features consistent recentering – in the future, it will also be fully customizable. And if you want full control, you can turn off auto-centering completely – ideal for smooth, manual steering. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/5faeb0a5bbe79eae52bd4c52efc387b7d7f18457.jpg You can also fine-tune Force Feedback via the gameplay settings – just scroll down in the menu to adjust the values to your liking. In upcoming updates, we’ll refine the default settings for keyboard and controller users so that bus handling feels even more precise. We're also working on giving you more customization options so you can truly tailor the driving...City Transport Simulator: Bus is Out Now!Jun 11, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsCity Transport Simulator: Bus – Available Now on Steam! 🚌 {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/e681a1682f61ca34805fe51a84e0d370e4c4f9ff.jpg The day has finally come! 🎉 City Transport Simulator: Bus is now available for PC on Steam! You can watch the full event including interviews and announcements about Bus & Tram here: https://www.youtube.com/live/6UY2utuV1r8?feature=shared What is City Transport Simulator: Bus? City Transport Simulator: Bus is not a DLC – it's a standalone game on the CTS platform, which also powers CTS: Tram. In CTS: Bus, you become a bus driver and build and manage your own transport company in a highly detailed, European-inspired city. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/65df2bb39de89e3343030fbe85d414834e6d7206.jpg Take the wheel of real, officially licensed buses from MAN and Dr. Richard, all recreated down to the finest detail – including authentic logos and designs. Whether you prefer a classic solo bus or a longer articulated one, you'll find a wide variety of vehicles and ways to expand your fleet. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/ae0eb3b464928fef53cf43795038d323a51b4f37.jpg How does the City Transport Simulator platform work? City Transport Simulator is the technical foundation for multiple standalone games – including CTS: Tram and CTS: Bus. Each title can be played independently. You don’t need CTS: Tram to play CTS: Bus – and vice versa. CTS: Bus is not a DLC or add-on – it's a full-fledged standalone title with its own content, vehicles, and gameplay modes. You can start and play it entirely on its own. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/2a0c433e693f69a83db0f5f9340355875872423b.jpg If you own both games, CTS will automatically recognize it and unlock all content seamlessly. No extra steps required – just launch CTS and enjoy everything you own. The best part: even if you only own one of the games, the city will never feel empty. In CTS: Tram, AI buses drive through the city – in CTS: Bus, AI trams are part of the environment. This ensures a vibrant and believable city at all times. Only players who own both games can drive both vehicle types. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44790845/b2af4687dd022e393649dadf908a50c1d24ece45.jpg Feature Highlights: Officially licensed buses: MAN Lions City A21 & A23, Gräf & Stift NL205 & NG235 – all authentically recreated with real-world details and liveries 🚍 Massive route network with 80 stops: Create your own routes or use the sandbox mode with 8 pre-built lines 🚏 Career & Sandbox modes: Experience varied gameplay – from managing your company to relaxing free rides 🎮 Extensive customization: Choose from over 10 liveries and 50+ logos to personalize your fleet 🎨 AI buses & tram traffic: Enjoy a lively city with AI-driven buses and trams independent of your own vehicles 🤖 Steering wheel suppor...The Future of City Transport Simulator – Livestream on June 2!May 27, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsThe future of City Transport Simulator is just around the corner – and you're invited to be there live! Get it now in the Steam Spring Sale: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2604480/City_Transport_Simulator_Tram/ Here’s a look at our upcoming plans: 🔹 More Frequent Updates We have optimized our development and testing processes, allowing us to release updates more quickly and regularly—sometimes as frequently as every 2–3 weeks! To ensure the quality of these updates, we have carefully selected dedicated players from our community as beta testers. These testers get early access to new versions and help us detect bugs and test improvements. Their feedback has already contributed significantly to optimizations! If you haven’t already, join our Discord: https://discord.gg/ZqFJeTQS 🔹 Adjustment of Tram Signal Phases With update 1.0.3, we have reworked the signaling system to create more realistic traffic light phases. However, this has also resulted in trams sometimes having to wait too long. We are actively working on adjusting the signal timings and line schedules to make the process smoother—without making the simulation too easy. 😉 🔹 Improved Driving Physics for the R2.2b The sinusoidal movement of the R2.2b tram is currently being adjusted! This will reduce lateral swaying in curves and even on straight tracks, making the driving experience even more realistic. 🔹 Performance Optimizations & Crash Fixes for Xbox Series X/S Some of you have reported performance issues and crashes, especially on Xbox Series S. In the upcoming updates, we are optimizing roads, sidewalks, and trams to prevent crashes and improve overall performance—benefiting all platforms! 🔹 Announcements for Xbox Series X/S We recently received an update for the announcements plugin on Xbox Series X/S, but there are still technical issues. The plugin developer is already working on a fix, and as soon as the feature is stable, we will release a hotfix so you can use announcements as soon as possible. 🔹 New Navigation System The previous HUD navigation didn’t meet our expectations. In the next update, you can expect a dynamic navigation system that will guide you directly through the city. You can choose between different display styles: the full route, short distances, or only switch points. A survey will be coming shortly to our Community Discord!City Transport Simulator: Tram - Roadmap February UpdateFeb 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsA Glimpse into the Future of City Transport Simulator First of all, we would like to sincerely thank you for the great launch of City Transport Simulator: Tram! Your support and constructive feedback mean the world to us. It shows that what we are building together has a strong and engaged player base behind it. Of course, not everything went perfectly, and some issues have affected your gameplay experience. That's why today, we want to be transparent with you about what we're currently working on and what is planned for City Transport Simulator in the near and distant future. Stability and Bug Fixes The first week was intense. We've been closely monitoring your feedback and are working hard on an update that will address the most reported issues. Right now, the focus is on crashes, especially those related to the E1 tram model – both the player and AI versions. In the next patch, you can expect: - Fix for AI E1 trams getting stuck in traffic - Fix for crashes related to the E1 - Fix for crashes on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S & PC - Corrections to the target and line display on the GT8N and E1 Another important point is the missing station announcements on consoles. Unfortunately, we still have to wait for an update to the plugin that handles these annotuncements, which will cause a slight delay. But rest assured, we will deliver the announcements as soon as we can. Since the crash fixes are a higher priority, we don’t want you to wait any longer for those. AI Improvements, Feedback, and Dynamic Weather The optimization of the vehicle and passenger AI remains a central focus, particularly when it comes to realistic priority rules and smoother traffic flow. We also continue to pay attention to your feedback, which is why we are currently working on a free track selection at certain termini when creating lines. The goal is to avoid traffic jams and make the simulation even more realistic together with improvements in tram AI. Of course, dynamic weather is still a major focus. Since we want to implement realistic effects such as changed driving behavior, functional windshield wipers, and heating, as well as adjusted passenger behavior, this feature will take a bit longer. What is nearly finished, however, is the fully customizable controls. We know that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to control settings, which is why you will soon be able to reassign all the relevant keys and functions for both keyboard and gamepad. Additional improvements for joystick configuration will also be coming. What’s Next? We want to give you more ways to personalize your gameplay experience in the future. Soon, you'll be able to not only set custom names for stations, but also give the city itself a name of your choice. This is an important step in further enhancing immersion and turning your city into a personal, unique game world. We're also working on offering station announcements in more languages, making the experience even more authentic and in...City Transport Simulator: Tram – Full Release Today!Jan 28, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsThe day has finally arrived!
