Please, if you have any issues msg, email or tweet us.JUN '21 Update - VO and OptimizationsJun 16, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsIn this update we have added all of the critical path Voiceover to the entire game as well as some narrative voiceover, and secondary VO. The VO adds a world of difference and I hope you enjoy it, whether you're returning to Kala to battle the Combine, synths and Sons again, or starting your first-ever Journey, we are sure you will love this update. In addition to the VO we have added a massive overhaul to the project optimization slimming it down and cutting out many of the unused assets that had been hanging out and causing some unnecessary giga-bloat. The overall size is about half of what it was which also gives us some room for our last gameplay area - the Sons Frigate - and giving the game is final and formal ending. The Frigate will be added in the months to come as well as the remaining VO, tuning and cinematics. Unfortunately you may run into an error running from steam, and may have to run the Honor.exe from your Steam\steamapps\common\ Folder. We will be fixing this in a coming update. Don't worry, your save games will be intact. More to come. Thanks! MAR '21 Update: 1-Year Anniversary!Apr 10, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsIt is our 1-Year Anniversary - to celebrate we are offering HONOR at 50% off for the next month. This time last year the world was shutdown - nobody could fathom what was to come. It was incredibly strange to be developing a game that was based on a interstellar virus in which the Acquiry, our version of the (intergalactic) internet - is intentionally shut off - blinding countless billions of an impending invasion and cutting off all communication. Last April we released into Early Access ahead of schedule. Since release we have updated hundreds of fixes, items, improvements ranging from waypoints to save points and an entirely new, massive open-world to explore. Our intention moving forward is to continue to polish the experience from animation, cinematics/story, audio and the moment to moment gameplay. In this update we have a number of behind-the-scenes fixes, MSK STAT tuning and the removal of many larger assets that were causing some performance issues. Thanks for your support.FEB '21 UpdateMar 3, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsIn this update we have the first of several MSK Stat adjustments, a new default AOE Blast attack, several Quality of Life improvements and numerous bug fixes. In addition, we will be laying out the update plans for '21 IN THIS UPDATE MSK Stats -Mobility Stat now increases the corruption/overheat rate, meaning JUNA will be faster and dodge (doge?) more easily but their stamina will be reduced. The rate will improve as your MOV stat increases. This is the reverse of how it worked before, where the KP stat increased the overheat rate. This will continue to be tuned as we tweak the different stat bonuses. -Max Energy Capacity will also be increased by 100 per MOV Stat point. -Max Energy will be reduced by 100 per SUR Stat point. The New BLAST attack (defaults to C-key in Key Input) is an AOE Blast that will increase in damage and range per KP Point. The blast is super effective against swarms of smaller targets and deadly to all enemies at higher levels. BUGS / QoL -Fixed and issue with the Blip controls. -Additional Power Core throughout the levels. -Add 'Saving' Text at all Local Relays. '21 and Beyond We plan to continue to tune the MSK Stats to create more diverse options and support different playstyles. These tweaks will be added each update throughout the year. Cinematics Cine sequences are massive undertakings and they were shelved early on to focus on gameplay - we will be adding in new cinematic sequences to help convey more of the ultra-deep universe that CoH is set in. This time last year we were getting ready to show at GDC in SF in March. The game has come a long way since then with hundreds of new items, fixes, polish and feedback incorporated as well as an entirely new world to explore. In this patch we have some quality of life improvements and new items as well a the start of an update on all the MSK Stat improvements - which will continue for the next couple of patches. -Replaced circle with Player Icon on map. -UI sounds -New hidden CE crate in the HUB. One of the biggest coming down the pipe is an update to the MSK Stats and their abilities. Currently, there isn't a huge difference in playstyles if players focus on one or two specialties so our goal is to adjust each Stat to feel more like what they should do. Mobility - More focus on energy, speed, dodge, stuns and cloak with reduced damage output. Survivability - More focus on 'tanking', hunting, durability, with reduced mobility. Killing Power - Kill it with FIRE. Increased damage, area of effects/auras with reduced survivability. Items that boost two or more stats will of course be even better after this update. New Items - Hundreds of new items added. New Mech - The RETCH Remote Unit Traps! Bug fixes IRIUM This update is a big one with the new world - Irium. Irium is accessible from Doxer in the Ruins Spire - and players can toggle the map at any time to instantly teleport to/from any activated relay on either world. Irium is a massive lush jungle world with dense forests, natural and unnatural inhabitants, ancient Highborn ruins teasing some of the planets storied history. As the Combine descends on Irium - its native Militia needs support - ally with The Climate House and Relay Management (CHARM) AI system on Irium to push back the Combine and protect the Militia. - what mysteries await? DETAILED SUMMARY Traps Stun (M), Snare (S) and Proximity Mine (KP) Each MSK Stat has its own trap which improves its effectiveness based on your character's numeric value. All traps are activated when dropped (Right Click) from the inventory. The Snare and Stun can be retrieved. The Stun will stun enemies in range for (M-Stat) seconds. The Snare will tangle enemies in range for (S) seconds and damage enemies with a DoT. Tangled enemies can still shoot. The Proximity Mine will detonate damaging all enemies in range with a KP Damage Multiplier. All traps can be purchased from their Respective Stores/Flash Production Drive - (FPD) Broton 'Gunner' Set -Broton Gunner Set stats increased. -Added Broton Gunner Blade. -Broton Gunner Railgun vambrace now fires explosive Rail rounds with a medium blast radius. Added Spirit Keeper Item Set -Jet boots -Holo Field -Staff -Helmet (Armet) Radial Cooldown added to Encrypt Mech/vehicles (Virtuous, Retch, Vindicator) Loot array improvements and more items. We are holding off on our OCT update to finish off the new planet - which will be included in the next update in a couple weeks. This is a huge new update with tons of content, items, bug fixes and improvements - including an entirely new world to explore. Patch Notes Irium will be available from Doxer in the Spire. Virtuous! Doxer now grants the ability to encrypt into the Virtuous - a light scout drone. Core Scroll now resets the Soulfire Super ability in addition to adding a permanent upgrade and increasing max battery/energy capacity. Add grenade launcher to Retch. Dozens of new Melee Weapons. Moved Hack item from Doxer to Cain. Bug Fixes and Quality of Life improvements Added basic reticle red dot to HUD. Additional Power Core to Core NPC, Vault of Knowledge. Enemy AI and Sound Effects are being worked on and will be tuned in the next update.September UpdateSep 22, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsSave/Load - Perma-Death We have made a huge change to our save/load and we think this will bring a much needed reprieve to you. With the current change, when JUNA dies, she will instead be loaded back to the last checkpoint or activated relay instead of having to start over. As the game has expanded from a shorter experience into a 10-14+ hr game - we realize it just isn't realistic to have to play through flawlessly and it is also a huge bummer to start over - given also the fact that we intend to regularly add new content, new worlds and expand the game, its a far better experience being able to die and try again with a minimal set back. September was heavily focused on the new planet - Irigar and is almost complete. We are shooting to have this released and playable for the Holidays. Irigar will be accessible at around 1/3 of the game, by talking to Doxer atop the Spire in the Ruins. Players will be able to switch back and forth between the two worlds any time from the map. NEW MECH 2nd Pilotable Mech will be the first Mech the player can pilot/possess - the Remote Combine Harbinger - RETCH is available on Irigar. It is a hefty biped equipped with railguns, cannon, grenade launcher and melee weapon. QUALITY of LIFE New more legible health and armor bars on enemies (Irigar Only) - We are testing out an improved enemy health bar and will incorporate it across all enemies later. Many of you have asked for a waypoint and better over-all direction. We have added first pass at a waypoint system and compass to the HUD. Currently the marker will show up on the HUD at the top of the screen, and when closer, the Waypoint 'Acquiry' marker will show up on screen with a distance number to the waypoint as well. Lastly, once within close range, the waypoint will show the exact location, or NPC/item to better direct you. It is a back item with 2k Shield Value and -2SUR. Two new Blast Weapons Fire Mason's Blast, a T3+ vambrace weapon that launches a fireball that creates an AoE on the ground. Shaman's Blast, a T1-2 version. Quality of life and updates: -Soulfire now emits a damage sphere that expands outward from the player damaging all enemies it hits. -Core Unlocked! Screens now pop up when player reaches Level 5 (Tier2) and Level 9 (Tier3). -Improved New Item! text to better describe what it actually does. -Vindicator can now dash and its controls more closely match that of the player character. -Plate patches now can repair any armor item as well as the Vindicator. Patch6 coming later today.Patch 5 Week 5May 22, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsIRIGAR The jungle world underwent a critical technical pass that set up all of the locations so they can begin to receive art assets as well as an NPCs and Faction Designs. HAB HAB received some fixes to allow players to progress around the entire excavation pit. -Map added. -Fixed some issues with the terrain. -Improved loot. -More enemies. With the completion of the HAB, the Kalan map is now complete so we can refocus on tuning gameplay and improving the overall experience in the coming months. BUG FIXES / IMPROVEMENTS -Improved Soulfire - now creates a sphere AOE that damages all nearby enemies. -Improved crouch camera. -Fixed a bug where rail ammo and Grenades would disappear from inventory when clicked. -Plate Patch can now repair any damaged armor. -Improved Vindicator animations, gravity, and camera. -Tons of new assets and props. -Wolf Physics/ragdoll. Patch 4 Week 4May 12, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsH.A.B. Big update this time around; we've added the Heavy Armor Support Bay (HAB) level. It is a tier3+ area accessible from any Mauler and requires the Sons Encryption obtained from Alyx in the Vault of Khamet. VINDICATOR The Vindicator has received an animation pass and now handles and looks much better. Tuning will continue this month. ARBITER We will be regularly updating with armor variants and adding a little background information for each. Below is the Arbiter set. It is a top tier / set that will set your stats to max 20/x/20 as well as two new weapons, the Arbiter Eagle, and the Arbiter Scattergun.
