When they told us they were releasing Bright Memory and working with FYQD, I stopped in my tracks and begged them to just introduce us! Sure enough, as we got to know Zeng and the rest of the folks at FYQD, he approached and said ’Why don’t we work together? Why don’t you write music for Bright Memory: Infinite?’” Throughout our musical collaboration with Cody and Jeff, we exchanged countless ideas on the game’s score. They agreed on the goals of the game’s overall sound and the importance of Chinese folk music and instruments to create a large part of the game’s sonic world. In creating the music of the boss battles, such as the scene in the Dong Drum Tower, we shared many examples of famous Chinese folk songs to draw inspiration for the score’s hybrid approach, blending traditional Chinese instruments, orchestra, and synths. Bright Memor's boss fight areas were too small, so I have made improvements on that and added breakable objects for Bright Memory: Infinite. That was created for the purpose of technical verification. There will be exciting car chases in Bright Memory: Infinite where players will have avoid enemy fire while firing back with a turret. I have also added elements that will make driving difficult, such as wild animals around the map and uneven surfaces. I have also included a figure inside the vehicle that changes its expressions according to the speed at which you are travelling at, or any impact suffered by te vehicle. With the main parts of Bright Memory: Infinite completed, I will now work on voice recording, the soundtrack, debugging, and porting. The game is currently planned for release in 2021. And those who purchase Bright Memory before Bright memory: Infinite releases will get the sequel for free!
