We’re building a completely new loadout system, featuring: Fully reworked weapon animations New weapons Thousands of attachments Variants & skins Real gameplay effects per item (not just visual) Every weapon in Bodycam will now be fully customizable — with thousands of unique combinations. Here are just a few examples of what you’ll be able to create using the new system — every weapon in the game will be modifiable to this level of detail. The Reissad TeamDLSS Returns & Performance Optimizations Part IApr 19, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsBodycam Update V0.1.4.0 ⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE Note: This is Part I of our optimisation updates! DLSS IS BACK! After encountering unforeseen compatibility issues the first time, DLSS has finally returned for good! A new DLSS option has been added in the graphical settings, right below the “FSR” setting. FrameGen is yet to be added, but it will come soon! Let us know your experience with the current implementation and if it needs improvement! The last thing in the 2024 roadmap is done! (lol) OTHER CHANGES & FIXES The game has been optimized further, but we’re still ironing out the issues introduced in 1.3.4. Upscale Quality, Anti‐Aliasing and TAA Upsampling settings work again! The Weapons Locker has received some new icons. Oil Rig shouldn’t use so much CPU anymore. A bunch of new skin variations have been added to most guns. A handful of new Operator Skins have been added! An R-Point softcap has been introduced! Here’s what’s new: Performance fixes on Russian Building, Worn House, Hospital, and other maps.(We've made some improvements, but keep in mind that the big performance update is coming in the next update!) Death tracking fixed - Death no longer counts as two deaths. Audio improvements - Overall sound volume levels adjusted, footsteps volume balanced, correct dirt sounds now play, and outdoor ambience works properly. Private match rewards - Playing in private matches no longer gives you any kind of rewards. Joining late - Joining a minute before the match ends now gives you no rewards. Note: No reward screen will play after the scoreboard while the match is ending. Rank rewards adjustments - No rank rewards when playing with bots and fewer than 3 real players. Hardpoint mode now ends at 200 points - Let us know if this feels too short! Bots now stay in matches - As asked, bots will now stay in matches until the lobby starts filling up with real players. We started developing games over ten years ago, beginning with small projects that allowed us to grow and refine our skills. Over the years, we explored Unreal Engine, mastered its tools, and improved our creations. When Unreal Engine 5 was released, it marked a turning point in the industry with its groundbreaking realism. During a school study project at the launch of UE5, we discovered photorealism. The goal of this project was to explore the engine’s limits, and as we progressed, we realized that our PC was capable of running an ultra-realistic scene. Initially, our idea was to create an ultra-realistic shooter on UE5. But during our prototypes, we discovered that the only way to push realism from “realistic” to “photorealistic” was by degrading the image using lens effects that mimic action cameras. You’ve probably noticed that all recent ultra-realistic games adopt camera effects degradations. It’s the same principle used in cinema: in action scenes, everything moves, everything is blurry, making it harder to distinguish details and, ultimately, making the scene feel more believable. Of course, we agreed that this degradation would feel odd if it came directly from the player’s eyes. So, we justified this effect by incorporating bodycams equipped by soldiers this became the name of our game. ⚙️ Game Optimisation & Technical Improvements What are your plans for game optimisation? ➡️ Optimisation is a major focus, and our specialised team is working on improving performance with every update. We’re even planning a dedicated optimisation update in the future. Why was DLSS removed, and will it return? ➡️ DLSS interfered with FSR, causing major lag issues. A team is investigating, and DLSS will return once the issue is fixed. Will there be host migration & dedicated servers? ➡️ A specialised team is working on host migration to improve online play. Dedicated servers were not recommended for our current game modes, but with host migration, things will get much better! Will an anti-cheat system be implemented? ➡️ Yes! A robust anti-cheat solution is in development to ensure fair play. 🔫 Gameplay & Content Additions Will night vision be added? ➡️ Yes! We appreciate your patience and support as we continue improving Bodycam. NEW CONTENT Rome (New Map): A large, intricately designed map featuring a mix of open spaces and tight corridors. Optimized for Bomb Mode, it introduces multiple strategic planting zones to intensify tactical gameplay. Logistics (New Map): One of the smallest maps in Bodycam, tailored for Versus Mode and 1v1 Duel Mode. Designed for close-quarters combat, it ensures action-packed matches as opposing teams face off head-to-head. Oil Rig Returns: Back by popular demand, this map has been reintroduced with some incomplete features (e.g., missing floors). Improvements will continue based on community feedback. Tumblewood Temporarily Disabled: This map is currently under rework. Stay tuned for updates! CHANGES Bomb Mode Zones: Added strategic A, B, and C planting zones. Planting here cuts detonation time in half, offering more tactical depth. Default planting rules remain for strategic flexibility. Versus Rounds Adjustments: Reduced the number of rounds to win from seven to five. Sides now switch after two or three rounds, depending on progress, for faster, more dynamic matches. Lighting and Shadow Fixes: Shadows are now enforced for all players, preventing unfair advantages from file manipulation while maintaining immersion. Bad Host Punishment: Hosts that leave before the match ends will now be penalized. General Map Updates: Minor tweaks and adjustments have been made to improve gameplay flow and visuals across all maps. To compensate, R-Points earned will be doubled during the first week! This change is essential to improve the R-Points system and correct past fraud issues. NEW FEATURES Full Character Skins: We’re transitioning from customizable parts to full character skins. New Reload Mechanic: Interrupt reloading by switching weapons or using the knife—perfect for quick escapes. (Reloading will be canceled if interrupted.) Updated Character Movement: Movement and responsiveness have been improved. Faster Aiming Speed: Aiming your weapon is now quicker. Unlocks: Items you've unlocked, like hats, will be replaced with full character skins once they’re released. Weapon Customization: Enhanced customization with directly modified 3D models for increased detail and personalization. NEW PURCHASE OPTIONS Due to popular demand, we’re adding the option to purchase skins directly, alongside R points. OTHER CHANGES Public Pool Changes: Alterations made to certain areas of the Public Pool map. New Weapon - Automatic Shotgun "FOSTECH": Hold left-click for automatic firing. Weapon Steal Fix: You can no longer steal weapons from teammates or enemies. Item Detection Improvement: Better detection makes picking up items easier. Enhanced Weapon Visibility: Weapons are now unaffected by decals, making them easier to spot on the ground. UI UPDATES Revamped End-Game Screen: Clearer stat and progression displays post-match. We think you will love it)*. Localization and Translation: Added support for the following languages: *English - French - Italian - German - Spanish (Spain) - Arabic - Japanese - Korean - Russian - Simplified Chinese*. *(All text not yet translated will default to English.)* INFORMATION Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch: The mode remains the same, but we've added a timer to prevent games from dragging on, especially when the lobby isn't full. CHANGES Worn House Basement: We added new access to the basement, which was highly requested! This includes a new door and a modified roof at the exit location. Map Fix: We made some mini map fixes to improve the experience by removing or patching up certain objects. Confirmed players will recognize the changes. UI Item Detection Distance: We’ve improved ground item detection, making it easier to throw back grenades *(though we still recommend not trying).* The detection distance has been reduced for realism, and the item now appears only when it’s at your feet. Locker Visual: Improved locker and shop visuals, preparing for an upcoming system update. FIXES Public Pool: Vines now have collision, allowing you to shoot through them. *(Apologies for the damaged drones!)*. Only Pistol: Fixed a bug that only gave players a pistol in Deathmatch. The update also features reworks of existing maps, including balancing adjustments and improved gameplay elements, alongside enhanced UI and various fixes for a smoother experience. ADDED NEW MAP : Public Pool Fight through a derelict public pool complex, offering close quarters combat and open areas for intense gunfights. NEW MAP : The Pit An arena-style map designed for intense 1v1 duels, with randomized layouts for each match. *(ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE NEW "THE PIT" MODE)* NEW GAMEMODE : The Pit 1V1 duel with the map changing each round. Perfect game mode to face your friends and find out who is the strongest. NEW GAMEMODE : Team Death Match (2 teams with respawn enabled, first team to reach 100 kills wins). INFORMATIONS Gamemode Name Switch : The previous "Team Deathmatch" is now called Versus, to make room for the new traditional Team Death Match mode. Player Spawn System : We improved the spawn system by making it more intelligent and flexible for all game modes, like spawning automatically next to your allies in modes that allow it. UI Scoreboard Improved : Enhanced visuals and added player ranks next to their names. Settings Improved : Visuals improved and you can now change your lobby settings in the settings menu. UI : Map & Gamemode Selection : You now select the mode first, then the maps available for that mode. Unique and mode-specific maps are labeled accordingly. We've also added labels like "new," "updated," "patch," and more to keep you informed on each mode and map's status. PLAYER Player Skin reacts to the Dynamic Weather : Depending on the weather, your clothing accessories will now react to it, making characters even more realistic. Player reacts to Flashbang and Scream : Now you can tell if your enemies are under the effect of your flashbang by hearing them scream. Be careful, as the effect may vary depending on how the enemy received the flash. Aiming Sensitivity and Balancing : FPS-dependent adjustment of aiming sensitivity and motion balancing. We had the chance to meet tons of amazing people who will help us continue to push Bodycam in multiple ways for the direction we want Bodycam to go in. This is really promising, and we are really excited to see where it'll lead us all! We cannot announce anything officially any of our projects at the moment as we are still in the early-talks stage but the future seems brightfor Bodycam gamers. We are also back from vacation, which means that updates are slowly going to be back, and we have more motivation than ever!
