BLASTRONAUT

Progress with LoopMar 2, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsAccording to the new roadmap, I planned to finish the new game loop by the end of February. This, however, turned out to be a much bigger task than I had expected. Therefore, this update will be delayed a couple of weeks, but it seems fair to give you an overview of what is coming. The most important new feature is the spaceship hub. Eventually, it should become a place full of activities and upgrades (mostly planned for the future "home" iteration), but at first, it will be a location to receive quests and choose the next mission planet. The final layout still requires work, but I am getting happy with the feel of this space, which is made better by the new ray tracing-based lighting (although it could also run in real-time, I have decided to render it once and only update when the lighting is changing to reduce the GPU load). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/2631b0c7ae8ca38aca14ed0b18928c7210465dbe.png The new loop will be around shorter extraction missions where the player needs to collect the required resources, fill up the landing pod (with limited capacity) and head back to the spaceship. I also want to increase the risk and tension of those mining loops(at least in the later missions), but I'm not sure what would be the most fun way to do that. Maybe a mechanic that would pollute the planet when the player stays there for too long (although it does not feel too believable). {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/d6858894fbe8eda6677942b29ddf555d18d5cebb.png This update will also change the way the game is created and saved. Since many progression-related features will be initially removed without an immediate replacement system, I will keep the current Blastronaut loop as a legacy mode for anyone who prefers the single long mining run. Terraria style sandbox game Blastronaut adds new biome and mystery black holesJan 5, 2025 - PCGamesNBlowing things up is one of the most fun parts of Terraria, and sandbox games in general, so solo indie developer 'Perfoon' decided to make it the core of the experience. Blastronaut is a 2D blend of platforming, mining, base building, upgrading gear, and combat. Rather than gradually tinking your way through the dirt and rocks with a pickaxe, however, you employ explosive gel, bombs, and lasers to carve through the environment and enemies alike. The game's first update of 2025 introduces a new biome featuring mysterious black holes, as Perfoon details a full roadmap towards its launch out of early access. Read the rest of the story... Hotfix 0.5.4Jan 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsFixes: 1. Various multiplayer client-side crashes fixed 2. Correct map icon added to the "sparky" (fish-like creature) enemy Changes: 1. Frequency of black holes increased 2. Faulty testing scenario removed from the new game listUpdate 0.5.3 GatesJan 4, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsThe Gates update brings teleportation gates that allow you to jump to another place in the world. Also, there is a new Mesa biome with mysterious black holes. How to enter it, and what lies on the other side? This update is the first stepping stone of this year of development. It does not change the game drastically but adds a bit of extra content. The teleportation system will be expanded in the future, likely requiring the player to obtain specific resources to use. Still, since I wanted everyone to experience it, I did not complicate it any further. List of new features: 1. Teleportation gates 2. Mesa biome (requires a fitting alien type in the future) 3. Black holes appearing in the Mesa biome 4. New weapon received through black holes 5. Difficulty options when creating a new game List changes: 1. Swarm respawning temporarily disabled (due to being annoying) Fixed bugs: 1. Various crashes caused by enemy targets becoming invalid There might be more changes not listed here, but I have forgotten them since they were implemented a while ago. With this update done, I will begin breaking up the game loop, trying to make it more purposeful and rewarding. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/9c7f7f8afe9d8cddf058d54e231868b861d72271.png Thank you!2025 RoadmapJan 1, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsHappy New Year! After quite a lengthy pause, I will continue working on Blastronaut through 2025. I apologise to everyone who was disappointed with the recent lack of updates, and I will try to make it up this year. Since the original roadmap ended in 2023, I have had time to analyse the current issues and develop a plan to move forward. I will present my roadmap for finishing the game and explain the upcoming changes. These changes are going to be significant, and the game feel can be quite different in the end. Still, as far as I can see, they are necessary to breathe new life into the game and hopefully create a better flow for both the new and the experienced players. First, let me briefly explain the current issues that the game has and what makes them difficult to solve. After all, the last updates in 2023 were directed towards solving some of these issues, but in hindsight, the solutions might not have benefited the game flow. The mission tree and questline were made to guide the player further into the game, but I’m not happy with how it works since it ended up hindering the exploration and sandbox-style gameplay. I’m sure many of you wish for more content, but it becomes increasingly more difficult to add it to the game and ensure that players will find it. Finally, I’m also not happy with the replayability of the game, which is quite a bummer since so much effort has gone into crafting this infinite procedurally generated world. Most of these issues likely boil down to the game's progression, and this is what I will try to tackle first. Here is the new roadmap, and if it goes smoothly, it will hopefully end with the full release at the end of the year. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/6a3a91a614fe3212f224b72856b045bc65319ec7.png 1. January "Gates". The very first minor update will arrive this Friday (3rd of January). It will package together a few fixes and features I have been developing but could not fit into an update earlier. I have heard your feedback about bringing the teleportation gates to the game. While these might not solve all your fast travel problems instantly, they can be a fun tool to traverse the world if taken advantage of. There is also a new biome called “Mesa” that will come with a bit more dangerous anomalies, but these will also have a positive side effect that I will let you discover on your own. 2. February “Loop”. Next, I will get right into the enormous task of implementing a better game loop. Instead of playing one world infinitely, I will break up the gameplay into smaller, more manageable dives. The dives should feel satisfying and feel different from one another. Initially, I will have to reduce the amount of content the game currently has to fit it back into the progression later on. 3. April “Home”. After that, I will concentrate on the meta-progression called “home”. There should be a place for the player to be in between the dives and provide a bigger purpose. Also, upgrading your “home” will feel rewarding...Patch 0.5.2Aug 15, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsThis patch fixes a couple of bugs and crashes introduced in the last update. Fixes: 1. Crash caused by swarms fixed 2. Crash when setting home on antenna fixed 3. Swarm performance improved 4. Swarm despawns after 2 minutes when farther away from the player 5. Drill not crafting fixed 6. Module slots remaining open after construction mode is closed fixed 7. Random explosions fixed 8. Alien biome mines fixedBLASTRONAUT Update 4 - SwarmAug 6, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsBLASTRONAUT has successfully finished its first year in Early Access, and to celebrate this milestone, we have just released yet another major update that adds quite a bit more action to the game. Here is a summary of what has been added: Swarm of ravagers have arrived, demolishing bases and keeping the player on its toes. At the beginning of the game, the swarm is asleep, but once it awakens, it will spice up the mid- and late-game. An additional mission is added that introduces the new swarm mechanics to the player Luckily, the player can also build Turrets to protect his bases. The turret has various weapon types and more ammo crafting for the player. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/c72d05eff5ba04b82222c6d8726993d479414c8b.gif The player's inventory can now be scrolled in the map view, and more important resources can be pinned such that they are always shown on the top. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/a17690a8c72fdb46cfdd58976b4d4c49127952a3.png Many more minor balancing changes were made; for example, the player movement should not feel so slippery anymore. Balancing is an ongoing process, and we will have to make more changes before we are pleased. All suggestions about balancing are welcome, so please let us know in Discord if something seems off or if you have some suggestions. List of new features: 1. Enemy swarms 2. Machine health - if destroyed, they will become broken 3. Ravager enemy and hatching pods 4. Wave-based enemy attacking 5. Inventory scrolling and favourite pinning 6. Turrets - attacking nearby enemies, consuming ammo 7. „Strange encounter“ mission - after the „Water operation“ 8. New ammo resources 9. Improved main menu List of changes: 1. Adjusted spaceport tasks 2. Adjusted faction tasks, five more minor tasks added to the game 3. Crafting and selling rates adjusted 4. Menu scrolling removed Fixed bugs: 1. Player state resetting after loading a multiplayer game in single-player and vice versa Thank you for supporting the game. There are still many features that we have planned to implement during the Early Access. The first year of updates is done; time to start with the second one!Patch 0.4.2Jul 13, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsThanks to everyone who played the last update and left feedback; we have fixed some issues that came with it. New features: 1. Research completes when the player is farther from the research station. 2. Notification of research complete. 3. Minor booth tasks added to the quest panel so players can switch between them. 4. Research displaying module stats. Changes: 1. The quests are set active after they are accepted in the booth; opening the quest tree is no longer necessary. (This does not apply to the satellite repair quest that teaches the player how to navigate to the quest tree). Fixes: 1. Dropped resources sometimes disappear. 2. Crash on starting a task with a radius area. 3. Inventory slots display the wrong tool. 4. Quest gets stuck when the antenna is activated beforehand. 5. Research not unlocking after it is finished (further testing is required to confirm that the bug is fixed in all situations). The deadline for the next major update is also drifting closer, so see you again soon! Content update 0.4.1Jul 6, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsA new regular update has just landed and comes with many fixes, changes and additions to the game. So here is the summary of new exciting content that has been added to the game. The beginning of the game got overhauled and now has three new missions. Each comes with a little storyline, shows different game areas and unlocks new mechanics. These missions also introduce new items and locations to the game world, providing resources for different unlocks even after completing the story mission. These will not remain the only ones as, for future updates, we have already planned more. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/6a9dbd896968790fb3411cb5986c7dd3d1251744.png The missions and achievements are now tied to a unified quest tree. This should help to provide direction in case you don't know what to do next. As for the missions, we also plan to expand the tree as the game develops. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/e2dc25c468fe00487a7a00a597a8f0a21d2d7021.png The water biome got new plants, and a new fish-type enemy called Sparky. It is not the most hostile enemy but lays floating mines that might surprise you if not being careful. It also drops new resource that is needed for many recipes. Also, the player's movement in the water was improved as well. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/bba680e6167a2d3fc99f3e266e913e6d2cb4cae2.png In addition to these main features, there were also many other improvements and fixes that we hope you will enjoy. List of new features: 1. Quest tree view 2. Water biome tileset and new enemy Sparky 3. Water-splashing particles 4. Scenario locations added to the world generation 5. 3 new questlines (crash site, jungle temple, broken pump) 7. Quest rewards and unlocks 8. New world templates 9. Faction dialogue displays during quests 10. New quest item List of changes: 1. Equipment slots are locked at the beginning of the game 2. One more health for the new beginning and custom game scenarios 3. Equipment, construction and research trade prices changed to use biome-unique resources 4. Slot and resistance upgrades require unique items Fixed bugs: 1. Drones duplicating themselves after loading a game 2. Drones not working after loading a game 3, Drones delivery tick sound played globally 4. Destroying the research machine, crashing the game 5. Buildings too close together, not opening HUD 6. Jetpack water physics bad 7. Module information crowded and overlapping UI elements 8. Drill machine drones not working when reloading the game 9. Home beacon is not working when reloading the game 10. The drill machine fuel module is not working properly 11. Quest resetting after the player rejoins a multiplayer game 12. Rare crashes in multiplayer 13. Water pump not queuing water on holding F 14. Steam repair-related achievements not triggering Known bugs: 1. Research sometimes not unlocking the resource in multiplayer games (needs more testing) 2. Inventory growing outside the screen 3. Enemies pushing player inside blocks 4. Liquid is not saved and sometime...Explosive exploration-mining game BLASTRONAUT gets a watery upgradeMay 11, 2023 - GamingOnLinuxBLASTRONAUT is a bit of an indie gem, a mining exploration game about blowing up the world beneath you to collect resources. The latest update is a bit wet. Read the full article here: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/05/explosive-exploration-mining-game-blastronaut-gets-a-watery-upgrade BLASTRONAUT Update 3 - AqueousMay 6, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsToday the third major update for BLASTORNAUT is released. Aqueous adds the liquid system and overhauls the construction system. It also brings new machines and drones for experimental automation, so we are eager to hear your feedback. Here is a summary of what has been added: Liquid simulation adds more character to the world. Although it is not yet final and will receive additional improvements in the upcoming patches, we have put much effort into optimization, ensuring it will run well even on the Steam Deck. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/dad58ad6ffc05b89310e252c74702b4d6d02e8a5.gif Drill and pump machines New large-scale machines allow producing the fuel and minerals on an industrial scale. However, they can not be built anywhere; instead, the player still needs to do some exploration. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/5360da4a6912cb28fc16d50b003c5e129633efea.gif Drone automatization The modules introduced in the last patch can now be attached to all the crafting stations as well. This includes the drone modules that can now carry resources between the storage containers, furnaces and even sell stations. New types of drones also allow to specify where the resources will be delivered. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/98bbab191c12c66c5d39133ecb3dcba238ec93c0.gif Mobile construction One of the most requested features has always been the ability to build structures outside the range of the main building. And now, it is possible to use the new mobile construction tools that can be purchased from some of the vending machines on the ground. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/0d374db0949a58b642a722b161213b9bcbd7b678.png Other construction improvements There are also several smaller improvements to the construction system in general. For example, moving the camera in construction mode is now possible. Also, the deletion is now behind the dedicated selection, which should give more control and reduce the likelihood of accidental deletion. List of new features: 1. Liquid simulation 2. Submerged biome 2. Drill machine - converts fuel to resources 3. Pump machine - converts water to fuel 4. Automation with 3 transport drones (storage, crafting, selling) 5. Mobile construction mode with 3 construction tools 6. Displaying stats under storage and crafting machines 7. Modules can be added to crafting machines 8. More info about module benefits in the construction view 9. Ability to destroy modules 10. New showcase scenario for the added construction features List of changes: 1. More building space for the main construction station (almost 10x increase) 2. Inputs changed for construction and equipment switching 3. Deletion system uses special construction cards 4. Weapon and jetpack module upgrades changed 5. Tile order changed for liquid (entities, including enemies) are be placed behind foreground tiles 6. Adjusted machine colliders and snapping distances Fixed bugs: 1. Spikes not doing damage in the crimson biome 2. Rare crash that occurred when objects were loaded in the wrong...We are at GDC 2023Mar 23, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsWe are showing the BLASTRONAUT game on a big screen at GDC. It will be there today (Thursday) from 10AM - 12PM and 14PM-16PM local time. And also tomorrow (Friday) from 10AM - 12AM. See you soon! Patch 0.3.2Feb 5, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsSince the companion update, we have received quite a lot of feedback, big thanks to everyone who tested it. We tried to address those issues in this patch and polish the overall experience. New features: 1. Info panels for equipment and resources that machines are producing. 2. Confirmation dialogue on building deletion, 3. New sounds added for machine deletion, exiting build mode and debris falling on the ground. Fixes: 1. Ongoing research got stuck when the machine was destroyed, 2. Crafting resources were lost when the machine was destroyed, 3. Bombs and rockets did not collide with enemies, 4. Crash after loading controls after they were reset. Changes: 1. Floater core bomb explosion radius decreased - due to being overpowered. 2. Jetpack fuel consumption increased between 50% and 80% - because the passive fuel leak was removed in the last update, it should balance out the fuel consumption and not let the game become boring. The info panels are still in the works. We would like to hear your thoughts about them and improve the system in future updates. We will start working on the next major update; hopefully, it will be awesome. Hotfix 0.3.1Jan 28, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsPatch notes: 1. Bugfix: some enemies not dying after loading a previous save 2. Bugfix: weapon colour and beam effect getting stuck when switching weapons 3. Unstuck: buttons for respawning (killing the player) and restoring the default weapon and jetpack added to the settings menu I have received feedback that the jetpack and weapon might be missing after loading a game. It is not normal behaviour and should not happen to most players. I assume it might be caused by loading a game with a different set of mods enabled compared to when the save was made. If the related equipment is not found in the data, it can't be added to the player. If you encounter this issue, please use the "restore equipment" button in the settings menu.BLASTRONAUT Companion UpdateJan 27, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsThe second major update for BLASTRONAUT is here. The Companion improves many areas of the game. It adds a toolbar, new equipment stations, buildable modules, persistent resources, directional audio, drones, building deletion, and more. Here is a quick overview of things that have been added. Toolbar allows carrying three different tools at the same time. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/4d6a19ffc6aa2f98612436f0a3526e09136e6f5e.png Equipment stations are player-built machines that provide quick access to any unlocked jetpack and tool. These can be fitted with multiple modules that give different benefits. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/3a18bdc78ba3396060916d5d684366c76dbf7f90.gif Any building can be marked for deletion. If something gets misplaced, try again. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/f8633be22d909251536cbdc464a5ec686fdda954.gif All the resources are now persistent, which means they do not disappear when the player goes away. The resource pickup radius has been decreased, but the player can now acquire drones (through modules) that will collect the resources themselves. The nearby players will also share the resources. If a player picks something up, everyone will get it; no more stealing. This should encourage cooperation between players. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/0364649da617f0d7d059d236cca7bc86fc3c45f0.gif The jetpacks have been improved and will come in multiple varieties. Some jetpacks allow dashing sideways (by double pressing the movement key). Some apply extra force to the movement direction, and one allows to hover in the air and move in any direction. The sound system has been improved, bringing directional audio and reverb. Now all the creatures have their own sounds too. Headphones are recommended. There are also other minor fixes and improvements. List of new features: 1. Toobar added 2. Armor storage station 3. Tool storage station 4. Equipment stores (vending machines) 5. Module building (4 different modules) 6. Building deconstruction 7. Personal drones added 8. New jetpack types and behaviours 9. Persistent debris 10. Resource sharing between nearby players (double the resources) 11. Directional audio and reverb added 12. New enemy sounds 13. Menu option for changing camera follow speed New features for user-generated content 1. Blocks spawning enemies 2. Biome end distance 3. 2x2 resource block type List of changes: 1. Jetpack fuel leak removed 2. Eplosion distortion effect improved 3. Resource pull distance decreased 4. New building preview materials 5. Falling resource performance increased Fixed bugs: 1. Previously explored map did not recalculate after load (it might still take a bit of time) 2. Beams did not destroy blocks in some angles 3. Resources were disappearing when they collided with platforms Known bugs: 1. Two achievements are not triggering 2. Weapon cooldown colour sticks after switching weapons (only cosmetic) This time the previous save games should keep working, and you can continue playing your previous save. Mos...Upcoming Companion Update & Base Builder FestJan 23, 2023 - Community AnnouncementsIt has been almost three months since the last update called "Darkness". This means it is time to announce the next major update called "Companion", The Companion update will land this Friday - 27th of January 2023. It will focus on improving the usability of many equipment-related systems to provide a more fun experience overall. Here is a short overview of what is coming. Update 2 - Companion Finally, the buildings can be removed in construction mode. However, they are not deleted instantly but marked for deletion and destroyed once the user exits the construction mode. This method should decrease the likelihood of accidental destruction. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/f8633be22d909251536cbdc464a5ec686fdda954.gif Another often-requested feature is the ability to carry multiple tools, and I'm happy to say it is now ready. There are also new buildings for storing and quickly accessing the purchased equipment. And the reworked jetpacks will provide new means of mobility. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/4d6a19ffc6aa2f98612436f0a3526e09136e6f5e.png The cover feature of this update is undoubtedly the new companion drones. But they are just a part of a more significant change. First, the resource pull radius is significantly reduced, meaning that the player has to get close to the resources to collect them. This will add a bit more legwork in the early game, but in the mid-game, the drones will take over this job. But it also allows for improving the cooperation between the players. The new companion mechanic automatically shares the resources between players close to each other (shown with blue lines). And by sharing, I mean double the ores, no more stealing. Hopefully, the benefits of helping each other will overcome the added danger of getting accidentally fried by the friendly mining beam. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/0417b2a4f71213f5df73d235cead017a51cfe5f8.gif Finally, the sound system has been improved too. The caves have some atmospheric reverb, and all the environmental sounds are directional. So headphones are recommended to pinpoint the exact location of a lurking worm. All the other creatures will have their unique sounds too. That was my brief overview of the upcoming changes. I hope they will make the game more fun and less frustrating and pave the way for even more exciting content updates in the future. PS! Blastronaut is also in the current Base Builder Fest with a little discount. The competition is strong but let's hope it helps to bring some eyes to the game and grow the community.Hotfix 0.2.1Oct 28, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsPatch notes: 1. Bugfix: beam weapons not firing after loading the game 2. Bugfix: crafting stations showing negative values after loading the game 3. Bugfix: sky color suddenly changes when moving around the worldBLASTRONAUT Darkness UpdateOct 27, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsThe first major update for BLASTRONAUT has landed. The Darkness adds a fog of war, a map, and new worm aliens to the game. As well as many smaller improvements. The darkness will limit the player's view and hide the treasures and aliens underground. It also works well in co-op allowing friends to clear the map for each other. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/d3bdb1100b9f06d98c81cb1a11c5aab435e26eb5.png The minimap helps to find the way back home but only shows the cleared areas. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/209f45592434c8989da071ce9d82233c0bd5fc6e.png Worms are new enemies lurking in the dark but can be detected from afar by the sound they are making when munching on blocks. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/818f3c00857f0d1cc86d435d68c1d678af8457dd.png These new features are made to complement each other and will make the exploration more interesting and rewarding. To allow these new features, the underlying systems for storing blocks have also changed. The new system is much faster and will not slow down even when traveling very long distances. However, it also required the save system redesign and therefore the old save games will not work after this update. This will happen less often in the future. List of new features: 1. Darkness system 2. Minimap 3. Worm enemies - small and large variants 4. Attack sounds for worms and flyers 5. Support for multiple enemies per biome 6. Save games optimized (about 1/2 the size) 7. World chunking optimized to allow infinite travel List of changes: 1. Critters give more fuel (2.5x) 2. Fuel containers give more fuel (10x) 3. Multiple bag directions are shown 4. Subtask complete sound changed Fixed bugs: 1. Upgrade cost wrongly increased for all players after purchase by one. 2. Entities were sometimes mapped to the wrong chunks. Known bugs: 1. Editor tile placement not working correctly. 2. Editor also displays darkness. 3. Player beam weapon sometimes not shooting. We are hoping to fix these and all the other new bugs in the upcoming patches. The next big update will be scheduled in about 3 months and its main objective is to tackle the equipment system. Add more upgrades and improve the controls of the player. Take a look at our roadmap to see what is coming up. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/43958eedce5fb4afc3532bf082e1b3d9b4dcde19.png I hope you will enjoy this update and if you find any bugs or just want to have a chat, please join our Discord server. Cheers, Jaanus (Perfoon) EA Roadmap & Darkness updateOct 21, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsAlmost 3 months have passed since BLASTRONAUT launched Early Access. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the game and left feedback. Finally, we have finished the Early Access roadmap, which includes both much-requested quality-of-life improvements as well as new and exciting gameplay features. Here it is: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/43958eedce5fb4afc3532bf082e1b3d9b4dcde19.png Update 1 - Darkness The first major update is about to launch on the 27th of October (less than a week left). And it will change the feel of the game considerably. First, it will introduce the Darkness or Fog of War that will make the exploration more exciting. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/d3bdb1100b9f06d98c81cb1a11c5aab435e26eb5.png Secondly, it will add the most requested feature - a map. It only displays the explored area and shows buildings, aliens and other players in the world. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/38784277/66146483dd5bb04d3ab0d3923672d4af19a8dbb3.png Finally, the underlying systems for storing and chunking the game world have been completely reworked. This will improve the performance of the game and the game should not start lagging after long play sessions anymore. However, the save system was also completely reworked which means that old save files will not work after the update. We hope that this is less likely to happen again with future updates.Steam Workshop - 0.1.8 modding supportAug 7, 2022 - Community AnnouncementsSteam Workshop and player-made mods are now officially available with this patch. Although the menu has already been accessible for a few days, it was mostly intended for testing. With the release of this patch, there are also two new example mods from Permuvich: 1. PCORP Prototype Minigun - adds a new type of weapon to the game. 2. PCORP Prototype Beam Drone - adds a custom drone hunt scenario with some beam drones. Patch notes Editor improvements: 1. Color picker field added. 2. Sound file preview added when selecting sounds from the file panel. 3. Explosion and machine animations support custom packages. 4. Editor UI theme updated to show correct button images. 5. Option to add multiple enemies per biome. 6. Option to decrease the projectile bounce velocity through bounce coefficient. Gameplay changes: 7. Gel projectiles are now damaging enemies. 8. Gel projectiles are now damaging other players. 9. Tier 3 and 4 gel weapons buffed and projectile colours changed. 10. Default autosave time increased from 1 to 3 minutes to decrease save-related lag. After this patch, we will start directing our focus toward the next big update, and the frequency of smaller patches will decrease. The development of the next update will take around 3 months, and it will bring some new exciting content as well as some most requested features (to be announced soon). PS! Please let me know in Discord if you discover any bugs or crashes.
