Batman: Arkham Origins

Leaks canceled the Damian Wayne Batman game, Arkham actor claimsJan 23, 2024 - PCGamesNA Batman Arkham actor claims the leaks of Project Sabbath, a Batman game that would have seen you playing as Damian Wayne, are what killed it. Multiple leaks over the years revealed much about the game, which never saw the light of day, and now we appear to have confirmation that the leaks themselves were, at least partly, to blame for the game's demise. This follow-up to Rocksteady's trilogy-ending Arkham Knight was reportedly once in the works at Batman Arkham Oranges studio Warner Bros. Games Montreal. But plans apparently changed early in development - and the team shifted focus to the upcoming Gotham Knights (which has been stated is not part of Rocksteady's Arkham canon). Heck, it's been so long you might have forgotten Batman: Arkham Origins altogether. But now, eight years after Oranges launched and five years after its multiplayer servers were switched off by WB Games, fans are working to get its team-based mode working again. A new community-made mod, Arkham Origins Revival, restores multiplayer and also unlocks some additional single-player skins like Bruce Wayne's Formal suit. Check out our archive of Double-A pieces here! The team at Warner Bros Montreal inherited quite a bit when they made Batman: Arkham Origins. Sure, there's the big stuff like the ingenious, game-unlocking realisation that Batman should be good in a melee fight but useless (or tactical) against guns. And there's the idea that a game about Batman should showcase his detective skills as much as his ability to simply lamp people. Read more New Batman game from Arkham Origins developer teasedSep 24, 2019 - EurogamerEveryone may be busy playing the six free Batman games just released on the Epic Games Store, or possibly exploring Gotham City in Fortnite, but there's yet more Batman gaming news for you this week. Over the past few days, Warner Bros. Montreal - the studio behind Batman: Arkham Oranges - has been hinting at a brand new Batman game which looks like it's based on a mysterious organisation called the Court of Owls. Sounds like a hoot. Last weekend, in its first post since 2015, the Warner Bros. Twitter account posted this video of four symbols flashing in front of the Bat-Signal. The symbols were posted again yesterday, this time in a much clearer format, along with the words "Capture the Knight". There's also some kind of night/knight pun going on in the French bit. It's all rather mysterious, but a couple of clues point towards this title being focused on a sinister organisation called the Court of Owls. Last year, a Warner Bros. Montreal producer tweeted a photo of a T-shirt with an owl-like logo, while Batman writer Scott Snyder recently wrote in a (now-deleted) tweet: "Wait for it... #bewarethecourtofowls" (thanks, GamesRadar).
