First, I owe everyone an apology for the v3.0 update. The crashes and stability issues were totally my fault. I didn't test well enough, and a lot of you were simply unable to play the game for about a week. That's unacceptable, and I've put policies and procedures in place to make sure that doesn't happen again. Second, I'm happy to report that after a ton of digging (and coffee), the team was able to find and fix the problems. Axis Football 2017 v3.3 is now live on Steam and should have the crashes fixed. Third, if you are still experiencing issues with Franchise Mode not loading correctly (or your game does happen to crash), please send the Output_Log.txt file directly to my email address: [email protected]. You can find the output log here: C:\Users\ \AppData\LocalLow\Axis Games\Axis Football 2017 Finally, if you happened to have purchsed the game in the past week, I owe you an additional apology on top of the first. Your inital experience with the game should not have been a frustrating attempt to play a game that you paid money for. So, I am truly sorry for that. Our users and fans are extremely important to us, and it is not our habit to release unplayable, unstable, or overly buggy games. You deserve better than that. I will wrap up by humbly requesting that any negative reviews made as a result of the v3.0 update be reconsidered if the new version is a game that you would recommend to friends. You can now adjust the assignments for any defensive player before the snap. You can hot route to various zones, blitz, man coverage, or QB spy. Added in additional options for defensive shifts pre-snap. You can now pinch or spread your defensive line or linebackers, and you can now shift your safeties left or right. This is in addition to the already existing shifts. Expanded the League Leaders section of Franchise Mode to include the top 50 players in each stat category. Simply click on any of the lists to show the entire set of players. Added a popup loading screen to better facilitate and communicate what the game is loading. Added 50+ new uniforms to the game. Added a brand new stadium Optimized the existing stadiums to perform better AI-controlled QB will no longer spin in a circle when handing the ball off sometimes. Fixed the bug that was causing some receivers to sometimes fail to react to passes thrown to them. Improved QB pass target selection. Improved RB hole selection Improved RB AI when running outside of the tackles Improved local avoidance to fix the occasional issue of players running into each other. All players - including backups - that have stats in the selected category will be shown. All individual stats are now sortable. Individiual player stats are also tracked for Franchise Mode. All teams in the league and all players on the teams will have their stats tracked. You can also view the individual stats of any team - not just your own. Several new stat categories have been added to the game including Yards Per Carry, Yards Per Game, Longest Rush/Pass/Reception, Forced Fumbles, and several more. A new League Leaders window has been added to Franchise Mode. This shows the top 5 players in each stat category in the game. Simulated matches will now take into account the current roster and depth chart of a team. When you lose it the playoff, the game will now simulate the remaining games to show the conculsion of the season and the winner of the Axis Bowl. Team-based season stats can now be sorted in both ascending and decending order. Improved QB throwing accuracy so receivers can catch the ball in stride more often. Added a "Years Pro" attribute to each player that is visible when you are cutting players. This will help show which players were just drafted. Improved offensive line blocking and adjusted the logic for how often (and how quickly) blocks are broken. We were seeing a higher-than-desired number of sacks. Fixed a bug that was preventing running back from being able to locate holes to run though. Fixed a bug that was causing the announcer to sometimes say the wrong return amount for kick and punt returns. Fixed a bug in Spectator mode where the popup stats would sometimes be incorrect. This was not a content update, but we did fix a few bugs and gameplay issues that popped up. Patch Notes: Fixed the bug where certain player's routes/instructions were not properly flipping when the user flips a play Fixed the stadium preview images to properly match their stadium Fixed the bug where punt returners were often not catching the punt Fixed the bug with the player editor where the name was not getting saved Game options like difficulty, quarter length, and player fatigue on/off will now be saved to each franchise so users won't have to set those each game. Reduced the effectiveness of D Line power and finesse moves. Reduced the likelihood of interceptions Our next update will include new content and features.
