Black Tidal Update is LiveJun 6, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsWe are happy to announce the the Black Tidal update is now live. A whole new region with 4 new asteroid classes, all new resources with a focus on liquids, which can now be harvested using the Liquid Pump. Lets take a look at everything this update has in store! New Region - New Corporation - New Resources - New Asteroid Classes As you explore you will encounter some new liquids but beware - some of them may not be so friendly! New Blueprint - The Liquid Pump Place it next to any body of water, toss the hose into the liquid and just watch it slowly package up the liquids into nice compact containers ready for transit. Once a liquid body is drained you can start building and exploring the empty basin! New Blueprint - The Resource Catapult This new piece of equipment can help you optimise resource routes, cross chasms and even shoot up hills to get resources out of a gorge. Level 3 Pirates You will now encounter pre-built pirate defences on Asteroids with 💀💀💀 Pirate Activity. Make sure you clear the asteroid before sending your workerbots out! New Manufacturing Machine - The Clarifier + Larger Manufacturing Bay You can now operate more machines in various configurations with 4 manufacturing slots and make use of the new Clarifier which can help split certain resources down into two outputs. New Command Bot Modifications HeatsinkHelps with heat management from Jet Boosters, Mining Lasers and Blasters.Molten Iron CapacityIncrease the amount of molten iron you carry for construction.Inscrease Scan RangeScan farther to tag resources and detect items buried in the surface rock.Overclock SpeedAbility to move faster on the asteroid surface when tools are unequipped. Ultrawide support You can now enjoy Astronomics at various aspect ratios and we are no longer locked to 16:9 resolutions!Help / Debug Support Hub The Pause Menu now features a new Help / Debug section that can Reset the Command Bot and Astronaut in case they find themselves in some game-breaking location. We also have links to places where you can learn more or report bugs as well as a Command Line Console where we have some commands that will help us gather data or make fixes if problems arise. On top of visual updates liquids will impact your speed, change the audio and some will have interesting properties for you to discover. The new Liquid Pump will allow you to package these up for transit. The new Resource Catapult will help with logistics on the Asteroid. There are also new modifications for you to purchase for your Command Bot which will improve Molten Iron carrying capacity, heat cooldown and speed. The Manufacturing Bay, which can now be expanded to 4 slots, is getting a new piece of machinery. There are also several new recipes in the existing machines that have been added. We have heard your feedback on the manufacturing and we are working towards a more interesting manufacturing future, one that has more optimizations, options and requires less planning. For the time being we hope this solution offers some reprieve. March Update Launched last month The post about the March update never got more than some patch notes so here's a rundown of some of the new equipment that has been introduced to the game at the end of March! The Forcefield {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43795107/8f7fb5df8a54966e6930cc125691383dd1160788.gif A portable piece of equipment that produces a defensive shield that will block pirate bullets and prevent pirate pods from landing inside! But beware, the pirates can still walk in, just like you and the workerbots can. The Portable Battery {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43795107/b884e2e9f8cc68992a52867e862eba8090679fa8.gif A portable battery that allows you to charge out in the field. Great when paired with the workerbot delivery system. Forget going back to the shuttle - take some extra juice with you. The Liquid Pumps - build these near bodies of liquid and dunk the hose to start pumping! Once pools are drained you can proceed to extract the resources within! We are still working to address some of the more urgent bugs you have reported, and improve the Manufacturing experience before this update goes out - look for those in the coming days. We've also got some grass shader improvements that will hopefully be improving the performance, especially at higher resolutions, when the May update goes live! The machines will now save what they're doing when you take a nap. During your nap 60 minutes of manufacturing will take place and when you wake up they will load and resume what they were doing! Resin also has been rebalanced as the change to Undesirable valuation had disrupted it. Resin recipe revised output more resin to reflect increase biomass value from 50 → 5 to 50 → 15. Upgrades requiring Resin have had their requirements increased. Fuel upgrade from 100 → 300 and Forge Level 2 from 300 → 500 (which lowers the resin cost on Forge). All cracked gems have had their Earth Dollar value increased to be 1/20th of the Flawless Gem Value and have been made Uncommon increasing the earned from them Cube Credits. Gem Dust value has been increased to match from $600 to $1350 and also set to be Uncommon. Fiber Optic Strands increased to $2500/kg and classified as Rare.
