In it, you will be fighting a series of 7 increasingly difficult battles against some very special foes to be crowned the champion of the Arena! The new mode is shorter than the original "Adventure" mode (yes, we renamed it) and usually can be defeated in 45min to 1h. We stripped away the "map exploration" part of the game to replace it with a simpler system that still gives a ton of agency to you, the players. Features: CHALLENGES will be given after each fight to spice things up. You will be presented with 3 of them and be able to pick only 1. Each challenge affect a different aspect of the game like the economy, the enemies Health or damage output, the chance to see upgraded Items in the shop etc... Challenges will stack until things get out of control! QUARTERMASTER is a new Vendor type that you'll be able to visit in between each fight, and that will sell ANY type of goods at random (Artifacts, Items, Minions, Abilities). Spend your Gold wisely, as it will be needed to do other things. PERKS are new card types that you will be able to purchase with Gold between battles. They will help you in your run greatly, and affect many aspects of the game such as Upgrading Abilities, Transmuting Artifacts or gaining an Essence Boost. INJURIES are an evil and twisted addition to the gameplay. Each time one of your hero dies in battle (and they will) they will gain a random injury. Injuries stack and affect your Heroes in battle. For example, "Concussion" will make you gain 1 less AP at the start of each turn; "Infected Wound" will make you Lose 2 health at the start of each turn. injuries will only be able to be treated at the Quarters between battles, with a special PERK. And it is our biggest patch EVER! Thank you everyone for your patience as our team was working hard on creating some fresh new content for Arcanium! During those last months we focused heavily on adding more content to the game to diversify the Team-building possibilities and to increase our Artifacts pool. We would like to apologize for the delays and for not being very active on the Steam forums. However, we’ve been active daily on our Discord server where we’ve been interacting with our community the most. We have been working closely with our amazing testers on Discord, to bring you the best content possible! After hundreds of hours of playtesting, discussing, iterating and number-crunching we think that the game is in the best spot it’s ever been. 60% of the existing content was rebalanced, fine-tuned and polished as a result. For this massive content patch we have decided to batch 3 new heroes together (each with over 32 cards, 3 Heirloom Artifacts, etc...) and we’ve added a multitude of new Artifacts to the mix. Here’s a list of all the changes added to Arcanium in this patch: NEW CONTENT: New playable Heroes 3 New Heroes have joined the fight. You can unlock them via new challenges right now! Celeste, the Priestess of Illuna: New Healer focusing on direct heals to instantly keep her allies in good health and applying and manipulating Shock to increase your team Area damage. Bjorn, the Executioner: New Tank focusing on leveraging his own health as a resource, taunting, and dealing massive damage. Carrion, the Necromancer: New Mercenary focusing on very disposable minions and discard pile mechanics. New Artifacts, Artifact balance pass and Artifact changes 48 New Artifacts have been added to the game which are discoverable in all 3 Provinces. We rebalanced a lot of the old Artifacts and changed a handful that were seeing little to no use. Hero abilities changes Angorn - Angorn had some identity issues and used to focus on Shielding. To capitalize on the “Druid” fantasy, we brought back Regeneration on some cards in his kit. Enemy abilities and Passives changes Some enemies across all provinces received changes to their Passives and received the new Wound debuff on their abilities. STATUS EFFECTS CHANGES: Some Status effects have been modified or changed to fit the ecosystem better: (QoL) Crowd Control has been removed as a keyword. Now all status effects will display if they are a "Major Buff", "Minor Buff", "Major Debuff", or "Minor Debuff". Cleanse removed Minor Debuffs, and Dispel removed Minor Buffs. Nothing can remove the Major Buffs or Debuffs. So it functions the same, just, clearer on the naming convention. Wound (New) - Added to the game and it will reduce all incoming Healing by 50%. Sunder (Nerfed) - No longer reduces incoming healing and shields, to just reducing incoming Shields by 50%. Today I would like to talk about what we’ve been tinkering for the past months at Supercombo. We have a lot to talk about! We wanted to change things up this time, and release a Hero pack instead of releasing one Hero after another. As a small team, we found it more efficient to batch VFX, SFX, illustrations, card design, QA and bug fixing. We also added over 40 Artifacts, reworked a dozen that weren’t seeing a lot of love from the community, and made a flurry of balance tweaks to the Hero abilities and Neutral cards. Without further ado, here are the next 3 Heroes coming out this month. NEW HERO! BJORN (Elemental / Void) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/34906473/1bbcb54168ed9d8c7d444ac681637c805591a99a.png Bjorn is a Rhino Executioner and a hybrid Tank / Assassin. He relies on dishing out damage while sustaining himself through the Lifesteal mechanic. He’s also a reckless hero that deals damage to himself while decimating his foes. His Passive “Grudge” generates a unique resource called “Rage” whenever he takes damage from any source. He then can use to perform powerful attacks. Bjorn fits well in a team needing an off-tank, and can take on the role of full-tank whenever built properly. Carrion is able to flood the board with cheap skeletal carcasses that grow in power the more they are played in a battle. Thanks to his ability to fetch cards from his Discard, he can then play his minions over and over again to take advantage of their boosted stats. He can sustain his teammates by applying Leech to his foes (Leech heals the attackers whenever they hit the target) and by soaking the incoming damage with his army of the dead. Patch Notes: 1/18/22 - 10.46 - Fixed Resolution dropdown and allow proper setting of chosen resolution instead of always defaulting back to 1920 x 1080. - Showing Enemy Passives on enemies while setting your hero positions before a battle. - Fixed issue with being unable to consistently place a minion potion in the left lane. - Enemy Death Preview - If an enemy is going to die from a DOT or Minion at the end of a turn and before they can attack, their damage output will be reduced to 0, and the damage breakdown will show that they are "Killed" to help clarify the previews. - Fixed and updated a ton of Language based issues for all languages, especially Thai and Arabic. - Zora's Longsight once again works for all ranged cards, both attack and ally cards. - Fixed Progress bar for completed quests and achievements. - Fixed an issue where the game would auto save and be reloadable if you lost the run. - Fixed the Claim Reward button from appearing or disappearing on Reloading a saved game. - Fixed Arcana cards not tracking achievement progress. - Backpack acknowledges + cards when limiting how many you can add to deck to the max of 3. - Showing the true reward at the end of a "Travel" quest in the quest entry. - Broad Sword now affects the entire first card instead of just the first hit of a multistrike. - If a hero has no heirloom but all artifact slots full, the heirloom will no longer show as full in the quick equip buttons. - Fixed enemy Soul Leech which would result in an almost un-killable enemy from too much lifesteal. - Crowd Control (CC) abilities once again are reflected in the end of battle and end of run details. - Fixed some issues with enemies casting their ULT card and then being Interrupted from a player card, causing them to sometimes fail to recast that ULT card on the next turn. - Clicking on an enemy and viewing their profile during the run will now show their true health throughout the course of the run, as it does increase depending on how far you are in the run. - Fixed Jade Oracle from interfering with hero passives. - Brought back Run History (takes a little time to load all the history entries). - Fixed Potion of Lucidity not redrawing after discarding your hand. - Fixed Purse Snatcher passive to only affect damage to the...Bug Patch!Nov 25, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsHappy Thanksgiving Everyone!
