In upcoming updates, you’ll start receiving letters from the residents of each stage, such as Maple Village or Winter Town. Through these letters, you’ll get a glimpse into the everyday lives of the locals—not just your customers, but the townsfolk who make up the world around your spa! To maintain stability with existing data, we’ll first apply this feature mainly to decorative items with a defined length rather than all structures. Dispatched staff will assist for a certain period before returning. This feature aims to ease the early burden when starting a new save and strengthen the connection between slots. We started development in December 2024, and released the demo in February as part of Steam Next Fest, where it ranked in the Top 25 Most Played Demos. Currently, they only exchange casual chatter, but in future updates, we plan to have them share tips that help with bathhouse management! 2. Default Guest Info {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45403507/1f019a4aab081e9b38173b343ec1f27d825ab9be.png Animal Spa assigns 4 random default guests out of a total of 8 to your Steam account. Later on, you can obtain the guests you're missing by earning platinum medals in each category or by connecting with friends via the Exchange Computer. However, since the concept of "default guests" wasn’t clearly communicated in-game, you’ll now be informed which default guests have been assigned to your account when starting the game. This information can also be viewed when you interact with the Exchange Computer. 3. New Letter Related to Keys When you collect a certain number of medals, you will receive a letter that explains how to unlock the next stage. Resolution On Mac, the game now automatically adjusts the offset to match the Dock size when launched for the first time. Convenience Improvements UI buttons will no longer be clickable while placing objects. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where some staff had no working animation. When animals use facilities they like, they may send you a job application. You can review the applications and decide whether to hire or decline them. There are 24 basic animals in total, with 3 types for each of the 8 categories. These basic animals cannot be upgraded. However, unique characters like Maltese, Retriever, and other special characters obtained through certain conditions can be upgraded. In the demo version, you can hire up to 10 staff members. In the full version, you will be able to hire many more. Stages can be unlocked using keys obtained by collecting 24 medals in each stage. Once a stage is unlocked, new characters, BGM, and decorative items become available. Winter Town: A winter-themed village that brings warm hot springs to mind. Harbor City: A bustling port city filled with the scent of the sea. High Mountain Village: A high-altitude village with a stunning scenic view. Fairy Tale Forest: A dreamlike forest village straight out of a storybook. As animals enjoy their favorite facilities in the bathhouse, some will send in job applications. There are 3 general animals per role category — they can be hired at a low cost, but cannot be upgraded. Special animals cost more to hire but can be upgraded for better performance. The faster their movement speed and the higher their stamina, the quicker they can spread flyers. Guests who receive flyers are more likely to leave stars when using the bathhouse. Through their stories — happy or difficult — you can unlock music tracks tied to those episodes. The jukebox lets you play unlocked tracks or even create and manage your own playlist. Enhanced Monitor Compatibility Now, 21:9 ultra-wide screens, 16:10 displays, and other aspect ratios are fully supported. Additionally, when switching between dual monitors, the game will automatically adjust to fit each screen. You can toggle these settings using hotkeys or the options menu. The one-week-long Steam Next Fest has come to an end. And since the demo was first released, it has been downloaded 75,000 times! We are aiming for an official release in May, with the exact release date to be announced at the end of March. To unlock guests you don’t have, you can interact with friends through the computer object or complete specific achievements assigned to each guest. Since the demo version does not allow the use of the computer object and some achievements are currently unavailable, you can look forward to meeting a wider variety of guests in the full release! --- 2.
