VR support, controller support and moreDec 12, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsThe huge game upgrade has just landed. Here's what you'll find in this upgrade. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35737107/1400abe1ab20d2d4e5d7ff8ea6e5de369a3cec65.jpg Technical changes Xbox and PS full controller support We implemented new Unity's input system. Try playing the game with your controller and tell us how it goes. VR support Now you can play the game in VR. Seated, standing and even room scale. You can investigate the room, pick and use objects, press buttons, wear goggles, eat mushrooms, drink beer. The game supports teleportation and continuous movement. We're using SteamVR, so give it a try if you have a compatible headset. We will appreciate the feedback. For a reference, we are testing internally on HTC Vive Cosmos Elite (GTX 1080 TI). Gameplay We read your reviews and made the following changes: 1. By default, the camera will not rotate around the game machine. There is a setting for that. 2. Score is always displayed on the banners behind the players. 3. You can choose Student character style when creating or joining the game. There are four styles: blue jacket, bikini, cyan shirt and white hair. Chosen style is visible to opponent in multiplayer game. Completely nude student is available as a mod in Workshop and visible only to you. We are always open to hear feedback in Steam forums. Thanks you for playing 7776 II: Dwarven Greed.Coal Miner's DayAug 29, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsIn 7776 you don't have to go down the mine to get some coal. Just press wrong buttons and relax with a pint of high quality beer. Play with your fellows today from 12-00 AM to 11-59 PM UTC. Getting coal is must, because: 2 coals = Score x 2 3 coals = Score x 3 4 coals = Score x 4 and so on. That's how big treasuries are made! Summer 2020 UpdateAug 11, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsFirst of all, thanks everyone for playing 7776 II. We are eventually pushing upgrades to the base game aiming for better player experience. This summer we got this: 1. Fast Wheel Rotation We have heard that some users are getting bored by long wheel animations. Although you already could press and hold * on keypad, we are going further and added an option in Settings. Click on the thumbnail to view this setting location: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35737107/c3c5bef50ceaa79a81db7c729e2afe63ea41a98f.png 2. New Machinery Game machine is also reforged. Notice these realistic screws and beer container with gold-plating. Mechanic is so proud of this upgrade. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35737107/a1f8ddbe3d65ecd21c58aea9e3c64ce3cc6efaeb.png Note: if for some reason you still want to play with previous machine version, simply subscribe to Master rank mod. 3. Tips Although nobody is a fan of reading tips on loading screens, we wrote short but insightful tips. Sure, you still can press F1 to view the help and hover mouse at machine buttons. This state-of-art guide is at your service. And more We fixed other issues, namely: - Steam friends list was awkwardly sorted (now it's sorted by online status). - Steam friends list and statistics scrolling issue. - Very rarely final score displayed at the final screen was wrong. - After invitation accepted from Steam chat, main menu was displayed. - If the game is launched not from Steam, it silently quits (now it restarts itself from Steam). Found new issue? Please tell us at the community forum. Spring 2020 UpdateMay 15, 2020 - Community AnnouncementsThis small update is dedicated to multiplayer statistics changes. To appreciate our most active and faithful players, we improved "Effectiveness" and "Average score" metrics in multiplayer leaderboard. We want to make sure, that these changes are transparent for all our players. Here are details on each change. 1. Average score Old behavior: Average score = Treasuries / Games played Q: Why did we change that? A: As you play more, your play level and experience are rising. But your average score doesn't reflect your growth, because the more games you play, then the less it fluctuates. New behavior: Average score = Treasuries for last 10 games / min(10 or Games played). Q: Why is this better? A: The metric reflects your most recent gameplay, because only last 10 games are accounted. You are encouraged to achieve better scores. Note that this change is retroactive. It means the metric is already recalculated for every player accordingly. 2. Effectiveness Old behavior: Effectiveness = Games won / Games played * 100% Q: Why did we change that? A: Because it confuses people. Being an effective player should not mean to play less, but it is implied by this formula. Au contraire, one will have a hard time trying to increase effectiveness by playing more. New behavior: If less than 10 games played, Effectiveness is capped and fluctuates from 0% to 10%. Effectiveness = Games won * 1%. If 10 or more games played, Effectiveness is uncapped and fluctuates from 0% to 100%. Effectiveness = Games won among last 10 games / 10 * 100%. In both cases effectiveness is slightly dropping over time, if the player is not returning to the game for a long time. Q: Why is this better? A: The metric reflects your most recent gameplay, because only last 10 games are accounted. You are encouraged to play better even if you already play a lot. You are encouraged to return to the game, to improve effectiveness. Note that this change is retroactive. It means the metric is already recalculated for every player accordingly. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35737107/4d2f8639cf6c227661df486c5fb190ffd00d73ba.png That's all folks! Thank you for playing 7776 II: Dwarven Greed. - Galant One from Miltocoal.April Fools Day EventMar 30, 2020 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/35737107/12fe074634cd3f18856c4b7dfdbd48e357264cda.jpg We at Miltocoal always sought to surprise and confuse people. April 1st is a wonderful opportunity for us to do it again. If you play with friends* from 12:00am UTC to 11:59pm UTC on April Fools Day, all coals you get will multiply (not divide) your score. Go ahead and jump on top of the leaderboard! * The April Fools Day Event doesn't apply on single player games. No download required. The April Fools Day Event will be held annually on the same date.Autumn 2019 UpdateNov 6, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsLet me tell you about the new features in the game you may have missed. 1. Achievements If you played the game from mid-September, you know that achievements were strictly limited to multiplayer games. But very soon we realized that many people would enjoy earning achievements in single player games too. So we enabled achivos for everyone. 2. Beach Student You can take the role of Beach Student right after installing the game. Earlier it would require some grind to earn her as playable character. Luckily it is no more! No surprise that she quickly became the most popular playable character in 7776. 3. Speed up the game When playing the game, you may get bored by long animations of wheels turning. To keep the game quick, we added speed control on your Numeric Keypad. If you don't have keypad on your keyboard, you can reconfigure keys during the game startup. By default, hold 'plus' or 'star' keys down to speed up everything. 4. New outfit for Student If you missed the fact that the game supports mods, you definitely should try new outfit for Student. Just head over the Workshop and browse for fresh fashion looks. 5. Getting help The game is easier to win if you understand the rules. So we employed two options to learn the rules of 7776: 1. Press F1 during the game. 2. Hover the mouse cursor at combo button during your turn. 6. Beta controller support We added controller support as an alternative option. It could come in handy if you want to play 7776 via Steam Link on mobile devices or TV sets. That's all folks! Thank you for playing 7776 II: Dwarven Greed. - Galant One from Miltocoal.
