Yakuza 0

After 53 hours of mahjong, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth player finally buys 30 million yen golden underpantsFeb 1, 2024 - VG247Having already managed to become a millionaire by the game’s second chapter, a Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth player has now completed their 53 hour-long mission to buy a pair of incredibly expensive golden underpants using just the cash they’ve made by playing mahjong. When we last covered the exploits of the player in question, reddit user tigerwarrior02, they’d managed to turn ¥10,000 into ¥12 million simply by sticking around in Yokohama and spending 40 or so hours at Vista Mahjong. At that point, their dream of being able to buy a pair of very special underpants that cost a reasonable just under ¥30 million before even setting foot in Hawaii was just that, but it’s since become a reality. “I f**king did it,” tigerwarrior02 declared in a follow-up post on the Yakuza subreddit, adding: “53 hours of only playing Mahjong. I finally have them.” Naturally, they included some nice screenshots of them buying the Great Fortune Gold Undies from Love Magic, parting ways with ¥29,292,929 in the process. Of the ten games leaving the service, three of them are Yakuza titles, which we’ll be sorry to see go. So, unless you fancy splashing the cash or also have an Xbox Game Pass membership, this will be your last chance to play these games for free. The ten games leaving PS Plus are: Read more Yakuza’s GOG collection is missing credits for key devs and studios, including the series’ creator and producerJun 26, 2023 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunThe recent release of the Yakuza series on GOG has been tempered by the notable removal of several developers and even entire studios from the games’ credits. Read more The new GOG versions of the Yakuza games omit multiple developers and even entire support studios from their creditsJun 25, 2023 - PC GamerSharp-eyed Yakuza fan Timo654 noticed something strange in the recent GOG re-release of the Yakuza series. Namely, many Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio staff members, as well as entire support studios like Lab42 and QLOC, were omitted from the games' end credits... Generally games releasing DRM-free is quite a good thing, as it means you own the game without needing to worry about having a store client to run it. Recently, Yakuza 0 through 6 was released on GOG, a site where all games are DRM-free, with the entire series receiving a steep discount too. It's a great deal, honestly, but it does come with one caveat - as spotted by Reddit user Timo653 on the Yakuza subreddit, both Lab42 and QLOC were removed from the credits. On top of that, series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Daisuke Sato have also been removed from the credits, as well as a number of others. The two developers had been responsible for handling the PC ports for all of the games (Lab42 porting Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 1, QLOC porting Kiwami 2 to Yakuza 6). So it's obviously quite strange that they would both be removed from the credits considering they are the reason the games are even on PC in the first place. This would not be especially notable news were it not for the pretty absurd deal that GoG has managed to score to celebrate. It's offering Yakuza: The Complete Series for just over $34 (£27), a package of seven games in the series that, and we counted this scientifically*, our Yakuza-liking UK editor-in-chief Phil Savage has spent 456 hours playing.
