I am excited to announce that Welcome to the Game II is now ready for mac. With that being said, please start the quality settings at a lower level, and run a lower resolution to reduce lag / frame rate issues. - AdamBalance UpdateApr 17, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsHacking Update. As some you noticed I nerfed the hacking exploit the other day, which pretty much allowed players to farm unlimited DOS Coin. Upon this I noticed some players were upset over this, so I made some changes. - Buffed Back Door Hacks: Now when you win a hack you will be awarded better. - Buffed Losing Hacks: Now when you loose a hack you will loose slightly more DOS Coin, and have a higher risk of loosing your notes. - Buffed Hack Levels: You will level up much faster now to get harder hacks to get more DOS Coin. So it's a double edge sword. - Trigger Manual Hack: Lowered the cool down time quite a bit. Since I sort of brought back the hacking expolit, the cool down is now at 70 seconds.. from once the hack starts. I made it a lot more risky.. the more you abuse it.. the faster the threats will come to get you. So be wise on this. Remote VPN Update. To counter the hacks, I have buffed the remote VPN's quite a bit to generate better DOS Coin. - Nerfed Lucas slightlyTutorial Crash Bug Now Fixed !Apr 11, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsIf you had issues with the game crashing during the tutorial please update to the latest version. Should be all fixed now. I also fixed a couple bugs with Noir. - AdamHack the deep web and hide from hitmen in offbeat horror game Welcome to the Game 2Apr 9, 2018 - PC GamerWelcome to the Game 2 is a first-person horror game about hacking. You play as investigative reporter Clint Edwards, and it's on you to rescue a woman named Amalea from a group of mysterious masked hitmen. Your only clue is a clip of Amalea pleading for help, so to track her down you've got to dive headfirst into the deep web, the portion of the Internet which doesn't register in normal browsers or search engines.  Your goal is to find eight 'hidden hashes' embedded in the deep web and use them to determine Amalea's location. You work out of a modest city apartment building using a simulated computer complete with a web browser, a notepad, and access to various marketplaces fueled by 'DOScoin.'   You'll spend most of your time on the simulated computer scanning web pages, source code and surprisingly robust file libraries. Some of the hacking plays out as reflex-based minigames and puzzles, but it's mostly good old-fashioned sleuthing. You'll check pages for hidden links, cross-reference IP addresses, and probably a whole bunch of other things that may give you an inexplicable urge to push your glasses up your nose and/or crack your knuckles. You also have to protect yourself by covering your tracks and hiding your Internet history. The mysterious masked men after Amalea can just as easily come after you, you see, and gladly will if you slip up and make yourself known. Sometimes they'll simply hack you to steal your DOScoin and undo some of your research, but other times they'll pay your apartment a visit, weapon in hand. To that end, you can earn DOScoin by besting other hackers and use it to purchase concealing gadgets and software, as well as motion sensors for when you do get caught red-handed. You can't fight back in Welcome to the Game 2, so when the hitmen come a-knockin' all you can do is kill the lights and hope you picked a convincing hiding spot. You've got to lock your doors, watch your windows, and sometimes leave the room entirely to hide elsewhere in your apartment building—like the power room you'll need to visit if the masked hackers fiddle with the fuses. Interestingly, if you have a mic plugged in the game will tap into it and, if you make too much noise by talking or, you know, breathing, nearby hitmen will have an easier time finding you. You can disable this feature, but where's the fun in that?  Welcome to the Game 2 is now available on Steam for $10.  New Update - Doll Maker Quest / Color Blind / Bug FixesApr 9, 2018 - Community Announcements- Bug Fix: Fixed where the motion sensor color would be effected by the Remote VPN - Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where the motion sensor locations in menu would get double stacked. - Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where if a player would go outside on the patio, and go back inside while the door was closing. Here are the bug fixes I addressed with this update: - Made V-Sync On default for all quailty settings - Fixed skyBREAK spacing issue where the last line would be cut off. - Fixed where you would get killed from picking up first package from dead drop. - Fixed when the power went off and the tutorial was still playing. - Fixed bug where the side door would push player into the wall in alleyway door. - Fail safe added if player somehow manages to clip trough a floor it will re-spawn player back in main room. - Fixed bug where the computer monitor screen would go black, should also address audio glitch where computer audio would go silent. - Fixed bug where the Remote VPN menu would get glitched out and Remote VPN values would be over stacked. - Fixed bug when a user would continue a game and spawn in walls / weird positions. Remote VPN Update! Now when you place a Remote VPN there will be three different color codes depending on the length of time it takes to generate DOS Coin. Red - Over 1,000 seconds Orange - Between 300 and 999 seconds Green - Less then 300 seconds This should help out and speed up the farming process. *Please note that if you put the Remote VPN BACK on the Wine Rack, it will remain the color it was last at, and will NOT generate any coin, So do NOT be confused by this* We will continue to address any other bugs we can replicate on our end. Hotfix Updates / Noir Nerf / Important Notes! Please ReadApr 4, 2018 - Community AnnouncementsHey Guys! I just want to say it’s been amazing to see everyone streaming and making videos of this game. We really enjoy watching people play the game and see their experience. Thank you all for the overwhelming positive support and great reviews! Over the past day, we have been pushing updates to the game to address some bugs and balancing issues. I think the biggest issue we are working on is the Noir balancing, I think we have addressed most of the bugs with this latest update, but not 100% sure with the weird teleportation / spawning issues some users have been experience. Hopefully we got it. Also PLEASE READ THE UPDATE NOIR DOC ON THE DESKTOP If you get the bug after updating, if you could please contact us with details on what you did before the events start happening, if you have a video of it.. would be even better. A light nerf has been done with Noir as well to make the game a bit easier. We really appreciate everyone being patient with us while we iron out the hard to trackbugs, please keep in mind we are a two man team on this project. With me(Adam) being the SOLO programmer.
