Trials Rising

Ride a motorbike through Elden Ring in this Trials Rising levelApr 12, 2022 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunTwo great games about patience, mastery, and dying horribly combine in a Trials Rising custom track which races through the world of Elden Ring. Made by a player, the level does a surprisingly good job of capturing a sense of Elden Ring-ness, stunting on your motorbike past the Erdtree and over a castle towards an all-too-familiar ending. Patch Notes - April 2020Apr 3, 2020 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32967688/23093dd58604140e097ad1421f01ca825d39f9b4.jpg FEATURE IMPROVEMENTS The tenth patch for Trials Rising is upon us and we’re kind of excited about this one. This patch includes some new features or improvements that have long been on our wishlist. Some bigger, some smaller, all frequently requested by players. Let’s jump right in and see what’s new in Trials Rising’s April Patch, expected to release Wednesday, April 8th. BIKE LEADERBOARDS Are you an apex Alpaca rider? Maybe you dominate on the Donkey. With the release of this patch, bike curious players will be able to compete across Trials Rising’s world of tracks on any available bike and save their time to bike-specific leaderboards. Bike leaderboards will be available on in-game Trials Tracks, Stadium Finals & Ninja Tracks for any bike that is available to ride. Bike leaderboards are accessed from track leaderboards under the BIKE tab. Bike leaderboards will only start to record entries after the patch is released, times made on different bikes prior to the patch will not appear on bike leaderboards. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32967688/24ed08f368667067176f7595dc805b62642fe12b.jpg DISABLE GHOSTS The thrill of competition is a big part of Trials Rising but sometimes you might just want to have some alone time on the track. With the new Disable Ghost option found in the Game Options menu, you can remove most ghosts from the single-player experience of Trials Rising. No ghosts on tracks, in loading screens or the results screens. There are a few exceptions: ghosts will still appear when playing Challengers, completing Contracts that require beating a ghost and in Stadium Finals. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/32967688/f49f1214d4ac5c331a333b6f0ffef9d13e63cfc8.jpg SKIP IT: SKIP HEAT & SKIP SONG Sometimes you’re just not feeling it and want to move on to the next. If we’re talking about tracks in private multiplayer or songs on the soundtrack we’ve got two new options for you. In Private Multiplayer matches the host can skip the current track with the restart button and move on to the next track in the playlist. At nearly any point in the game it’s also now possible to skip the current song playing. This can be done with a push of a button or through the pause menu. This feature also includes a new UI element that displays the name of the current song in the upper right corner of the screen. This element appears briefly when a new song starts and when first loading a new track. GIGACRATE The collection of bike & rider gear available in Gear Crates is getting a lot larger. Up until now, Gear Crates have included around 25-30 customization items. The new gigafied Gear Crates have 167 different items to potentially pull from when opened. OTHER FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS Bikes The order of bikes in the bike selection menu adjusted to move Helium & Donkey directly after the Mantis Stickers/Decals New stickers, including some created by and for Trials Elite players are available in Track Editor & Sticker St...Trial Rising - November UpdateNov 1, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsGreetings Riders, The next patch for Trials Rising is releasing on Monday November 4th. One River is a historical account of the exploration of the Amazon river basin and the story of Davis’ own experience on the river in search of medicinal, and often hallucinogenic plants. There are odd parallels here to Apocalypse Now. Davis’ teacher had gone up the river in the 1930s and briefly joined a so-called “peyote cult” as he pursued long-lost sacred plants of the Aztec, which in my mind is a character clearly played by Brando. In trying to follow his teacher’s footsteps, Davis bucks danger left and right over a 15 month-long journey – sometimes in the form of exotic diseases, other times in the name of hallucinogenic research. But ultimately it’s a story of man’s inability to truly conquer everything. Like Apocalypse Now’s Vietnam, Davis’ Amazon is too big, too overwhelming to fully penetrate. But as it turns out, things would probably have been a lot easier for Wade if he had just brought along his motorbike and done a big wheelie in the sky. Way to miss a trick, guy. The Amazon rainforest is now a backdrop in Trials Rising‘s second expansion Crash & Sunburn, which invites you on a tour of the some of the world’s most dangerous places to ever take your bike out for a spin. And a demo for its base game is now available for free. It s manifested in a number of different ways over the years. From learning various mythologies to get a grasp on their take on the afterlife, to reading mystery novels that taught me hundreds of impractical ways to nearly get away with murder, most of my hobbies involved death in some form. So, it’s not shocking that a lot of my enjoyment of RedLynx’s Trials series comes from its dark sense of humor in the same direction, taken to new heights in Trials Rising. Even when successful, levels end with the rider dying in a ridiculous way that takes advantage of the title s ragdoll physics. It could be said that each level is a lot like life itself: there’s a series of challenges that you can either get past or tumble over, but eventually even the best of us will wind up dead, as we all do. From careening over a cliff on a motorbike. (more…) Get your kicks on Route 66 in Trials Rising's first expansionApr 16, 2019 - Rock, Paper, Shotgun If you ever plan to motor west, don’t just take the highway – do a triple flip over the highway while on fire, that’s the best. Trials Rising hit Route 66 in its first expansion, released today, with two dozen new tracks across the iconic running from Chicago to Los Angeles. Pass through–and over–big cities, one-stoplight towns, ghost towns, the Grand Canyon, Santa Monica Pier, and more. Seeing as Trials Rising is basically, like, more Trials (with an added unpleasant slap of grind) and Trials is good, Sixty-Six being more Trials Rising is… probably good? The latest and rather magnificent instalment Trials Rising continues this fine tradition but adds a globetrotting twist, casting players as a cross between Barry Sheene and Phileas Fogg by tasking them with riding fairly roughshod over some famous international landmarks. But when you first fire up the game, there is another big speed bump in the way: two bikes incarcerated behind a paywall. It's that rare Trials hurdle that cannot be overcome by some improvised combination of throttle-feathering, mid-air rotation and a cheeky bunny-hop. To access the pedal-powered Helium or pocket-rocket Donkey requires dropping a sizeable wodge of in-game currency instead. (A brand-new two-player bike, the Tandem, is free from the outset, but that's another story.) The steady flow of coin rewards as you progress in Trials Rising means that unlocking these novelty rides will always be a question of 'when' rather than 'if'. Comparable pedal bikes and mini-motos have also featured in previous games, so why squirrel them away in the first place? My theory is that it probably has something to do with easing the player into the Trials Rising setup, where a cascade of standalone tracks, stunt challenges and stadium motocross events bloom into life as pins scattered across the globe. Trials Rising review - a lavish return to form for the seriesFeb 25, 2019 - EurogamerIt is with great pleasure, a brimming heart and the jittery edge of someone whose adrenaline has been depleted over the course of several late night sessions that I can report this: Trials is back. Maybe you hadn't noticed it's been away. There have been two entries this generation, after all, but both of them lacked that spark the all-important spark that made RedLynx's series so beloved; Fusion's aesthetic proved anaemic and felt more of a regression than meaningful progress, and let's just pretend the risible Trials of the Blood Dragon never happened. Trials Rising finds that flame and then some; this is a rekindling of the series that lavishes the formula with love, attention and production values the like of which the series hasn't seen before (and also introduces a thin veneer of bullshit that's thankfully fairly easy to ignore - but we can get to that later). Most importantly, it doubles down on what makes Trials special. Read more Dev Diary #4 - Cross PlatformFeb 18, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsWelcome back Riders, In our previous entry, we took an in-depth look at how the economy will work in Trials Rising. If you happened to miss this Dev Diary, you can find it here. https://i.imgur.com/LM9w9Ab.jpg This week, we’re going to be taking a closer look at a topic that’s on the tip of everyone’s lips, cross platforms features! In Trials Rising, many things will be shared across platforms, and in this article, we’re going break down what exactly this means. Leaderboards Trials has always been about competition, and with Trials Rising, this is no different. Leaderboards were where the competition began and now with Rising that competition will be bigger than ever before. In Trials Rising you will see times set by players across all platforms. Now, you’ll be able see how you stack up against every Trials player around the globe. Watch their replays, play against their ghosts and uncover new rivalries! https://i.imgur.com/1IvTQNa.jpg Track Central The iconic Track Central will once again be getting the cross platform treatment. Tracks from Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will be available to all players. Performance between these platforms can vary and that may impact the experience playing tracks created on different platforms. https://i.imgur.com/Ex61uES.jpg Gear Store Missed out on our Customization & Sharing articles? The Gear Store is where you can go to browse new gear for your bike and rider, including customizations made by other players. Just like Track Central the Gear Store will feature customizations made by players on all platforms. https://i.imgur.com/qt6sHwv.jpg Player Profile As you progress through Trials Rising, your accomplishments, stats, custom content and your bike and rider’s appearance will all be stored on your Player Profile. Of course this article is about cross-platform features so we would not be bringing it up if the profile wasn’t also cross-platform. In Trials Rising you will be able to visit your friends (or rivals) Player Profile and see their latest progress regardless of which platform they play on. https://i.imgur.com/7YCAFjc.jpg Ubisoft Account In order to push cross-platform features further than we have in the past a Ubisoft Account will be required to access online features on all platforms. In Trials Fusion we were unable to display usernames across platforms and had to use a generic name, FusionShared, as the creator profile for tracks shared cross-platform. By using Ubisoft Accounts we can ensure that in Trials Rising proper usernames can be displayed on creations, leaderboard entries & profiles on all platforms. Browsing the Gear Store or Track Central and stumble across something that catches your eye, now you’ll be able see who created what regardless of which platform they’re on. That said, not all us have linked our Ubisoft Account to our consoles account. There’s multiple way’s to do this and you can find out more by reading one of our dedicated FAQs. https://i.imgur.com/OfqA98J....Try out Trials Rising for free in next week's open betaFeb 13, 2019 - PC GamerUbisoft's 2.5D motocross racing/platformer Trials Rising will be out on February 26, a slight pushback from its originally scheduled launch on February 12. Before that happens, you can take it for a spin in a free open beta that will run from February 21-25.  Earlier this month, Ubisoft also revealed more about its post-launch plans for Trials Rising, which will include a two-part Expansion Pass with new locations, tracks, contracts, and customization items, the Stuntman Rider Pack, and the Samurai Pack, which sounds like highly practical gear for riding. There will also be free post-launch seasons, which will add new poses, animations, customization items, and events, and weekly challenges offering in-game currency and limited-time rewards.  While the open beta will effectively roll straight into launch, Ubisoft said that it will not provide any kind of "head start," because progress made in the beta will not carry over to the full game. And that's it! You can play Trials Rising for free for a few days next week. Have fun.
