Please find the patch notes below. Patch notes Fixed an issue where Eli could suddenly die during the fight at the University without even being touched. Fixed an issue where Nano Echo in the boss fight would have a voice line in English. Fixed an issue where players could cancel falling animation when using attack and block during the fall. Fixed an issue where players could survive the fall from the epicenter and skip the fight against Cain. Fixed an issue where blocking animation would not play completely. Fixed an issue where implants could not be equipped in another NG if you equipped it on an unlockable implant slot in NG+. Fixed an issue where players could get stuck between container and outdoor toilet. Fixed an issue where poison/shark bots could become untouchable after getting out of the ground. Fixed an issue where save data from Patch 5 could not be launched on GMC version. Fixed an issue where players were unable to complete Iron Maus side quest even if the steps were fulfilled correctly. Fixed an issue with nano weapons that could not cut limbs off big pirates. Fixed an issue with the Tenta Kill weapon that would continue playing the sound even when not swinging the weapon. Fixed an issue where players would get twice the same items when killing two enemies in a row. Fixed an issue with crab enemies that could not be killed by a normal weapon. Fixed an issue where players would not need to parry multiple times against an enemy that was 2 levels higher than your weapon MK if you have a MK X weapon in your inventory. Fixed an issue with a character equipped with a gear set that appeared from nowhere near the stairs. Fixed an issue where facial hair would not show properly when equipping certain headgear. As with every game the main inspiration comes from the project itself. The Surge 2 has a very distinct and unique setting that instantly triggered our creativity. The team from Deck13 provided us with a lot of materials, from concept art to videos and design documents, so it was easy for us to dive into this world and to see how we could contribute to the artistic vision. Why did you choose ritual type music for certain scenes? We were lucky that the developers at Deck13 had a very clear idea of what they wanted different scenes to feel like. So, we sketched music for different scenarios with the intention to add an additional layer of content to what is happening in the visuals and in the gameplay. After implementation, in-game testing, and revisions we always found the right mood for the scenes. Harbor Cult https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErHe1EV-EEM There are many types of music in this soundtrack. Why did you choose such variety? Although the scenario of the game allowed a variety of musical styles, we chose a hybrid approach combining classical orchestral instruments, heavily blended with modern synths and sound design. This reflects the ambiguousness of the game scenario, where Jericho City is set in a science fiction world, but the player also finds familiar visuals and hints from a lost world. We wanted this feeling to be reflected in the music. What scene from the game really struck you and inspired you to do something special for it? There are several outstanding battle scenes with incredible monsters and we wanted to give the connecting scenes not only a unique kind of signature, but also an additional emotional level. For example, in one of the very last scenes, when the big nano monster dies in a furious inferno before you enter the dreamspace for the final battle, we wanted to write some music that enhances the emotional level of the fantastic graphics of the destroyed buildings and the monster, so we chose not to write a typical epic and loud piece, but instead a very emotional track that added a very intense level to the game. We really appreciate it. As we mentioned yesterday, the team are hard at work addressing some recurring and urgent issues. Thanks to your feedback, we can today update our beta branch “liveops_beta“ that should fix the FLR crash and improve the stuttering issue. Please find the patch notes below. System and Optimization Stuttering We further improved the issue with stuttering that was caused by texture streaming. We still have an open issue with vsync, so to check if it’s better for you we suggest to set the vsync to OFF FLR Error Crash Should you experience any more, please make a new thread in Technical Support with the error message, your DxDiag.txt as well as you logs (C:\Users\XXX\Documents\The Surge 2\logs). GPU In some rare cases the onboard GPU is set to GPU 0. The game will now check which of your GPUs is the dedicated one and use that instead. Potentially this could occur with every CPU that has an onboard GPU. Known Issue If you reset your keybindings to default, Jump and Cycle Injectable will be unbound. This will be fixed in an official patch. In the meantime, please do not reset to default your keybindings. As usual, please give any feedback you may have with this hotfix.
