Sunset Rangers is coming to an endFeb 26, 2021 - Community AnnouncementsHi, First of all I'd like to manifest my heartfelt thanks for the supporters and players who helped design and develop this game and had a good time exploring all the features it has to offer. It's been almost 3 years since I had to wrap up development and call Sunset Rangers done and had to stop working and updating it. And, as expected, the game's been slowly dying out to the point where it doesn't have enough players online to justify keeping the servers alive. I'd happily keep it running for a long time still if I didn't have to cover the server costs out of my own pocket, this being especially taxing to me as an individual developer. So I'm sad to announce I'll have to remove Sunset Rangers from the Steam store and shut down the login server which will render the game unplayable. Hello supporters, this version is the first Release Candidate, it's been a challenging journey creating Sunset Rangers and I feel I created a good experience being a solo developer creating such a complex game. I'm moving towards putting Sunset Rangers out of Early Access and releasing it. Sadly I need to work towards wrapping up the project so I can move forward with my life, because Sunset Rangers is not being financially viable for a while now, and I need to pay the bills (I worked on the project for the past year with virtually no income). Hopefully you'll understand the situation, the shear amount of indie games on Steam makes it really hard for small devs like me to receive any relevant visibility.
