Pacific Drive Version 1.9.3 Hotfix Patch Notes 04/24/2025Apr 24, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsWe've rounded up the most common issues identified from Endless Expeditions and done our best to get you all set up for the Final Expedition! Version 1.9.3 update to Pacific Drive is available now on PC and PlayStation 5. Version 1.9.3 - Highlights We identified cases where anomalies that had already invaded the garage would remain, even after our attempted fix on the previous update. This issue is now fixed for *everyone*! “Prologue” by Zachary Blystone has been cleared for the Streamer Safe radio playlist “Personal Methods of Creative Expression” achievement has been fixed Bugs and UX Fixes Fixed remaining cases of anomalies and Zone conditions appearing at the garage - we appreciate the Breachers that submitted reports of Anomalous Activity Fixed an issue where some maps with stabilizers could still appear in Expeditions, which could allow them to be completed early Fixed the Remnant Ghost disappearing when suspending a run on the same map Fixed ‘Scrap’ terminology - previously used as a verb instead of correctly labeling Scrap as a material Fix for the “Personal Methods of Creative Expression are Highly Encouraged” achievement sometimes not unlocking when conditions are met This was caused by players unintentionally being able to remove the license plate from the car while in the garage. Now when loading into the garage, the license plate will be automatically reapplied to the car if it is detected missing. Fix for the first ARDA Payload found upon reaching Expedition Tier 15 - Payloads always reward an Unrestricted item at this difficulty Fix for Expedition Rewards not appearing on certain save files - rewards should be visible in the Route Planner and awarded on completion of Expedition “Prologue” by Zachary Blystone re-added to Streamer Safe Music setting Certain songs included in Streamer Safe mode were being incorrectly claimed due to a technical error. The underlying error has been resolved, so existing claims should automatically reverse and no new claims should appear. If you have any content featuring Streamer Safe songs claimed going forward, file a support ticket on our website. Want to dive into a huge list of changes, new features, and all the best details? Patch notes are right here. Expeditions We’re happy to introduce a brand new way to play Pacific Drive! Expeditions start in the garage with an ever-changing set of challenges and restrictions, generating new routes, and ramping up the difficulty to ensure that every journey feels fresh. This new way to play is perfect for roguelite fans, offering players endless possibilities to keep playing. On an Expedition, you’ll be able to visit new Junction types that can assist you or provide you with new obstacles to overcome. Pit Stop junctions will provide you with a safe area to take refuge in, repair the car, and send extra materials back to Oppy’s garage. Anchor Locks will appear, a new challenge that makes you work a little harder to obtain precious Anchor energy, for you to use on your trip however you’d like. There’s also a new trader in the Zone! Ida’s Exchange is a traveling shop where you can trade resources for rare parts, recipes, and new rare garage cosmetics. Expeditions are available to all players past an early point in the main story. If you’re continuing your save after completing the main Pacific Drive storyline, then you can jump in at a higher difficulty, and as a seasoned driver you’ll be more familiar with some of the unique challenges from the Zone. On a new save, you’ll come across Field Guide Quests, objectives that help you learn more about the game while on an Expedition. The main storyline and Expeditions routes can be completed in parallel so you’ll benefit from progress in either! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43621109/7fef8e24f33534dcd1d0cd23b59a38feca72c291.gif Suspend Run At Ironwood one of the things we’re incredibly proud of are our efforts to stay connected and engaged with our community. Since launch, through feedback and discussion about the game, players have made clear that there is an ask for the ability to save the game at any point. We’re happy to say we’ve been hard at work on a solution. We firmly believe in the core design of the Pacific Drive gameplay loop and the risk that comes from a potential lost run. However, we know that sometimes life happens - plans can get interrupted and you have to step away, and we wanted to make the game’s save structure more flexible to account for that. Our solution is giving players the ability to suspend your run and step away from the game at any time, then resume right where you left off. Previously, Pacific Drive saved upon entry to every new junction and you were able to manually save at any time in the garage. Now you can also suspend your trip at any time in a junction and keep all your progress up to that point. Upon loading back into the game you’ll find yourself on the same trip, in the same location, with your inventory up to date, and your progress in the junction saved. We’ve been working on this feature...Pacific Drive Version 1.9.1 Patch Notes 04/3/2025Apr 3, 2025 - Community AnnouncementsEndless Expeditions is the largest update to Pacific Drive since it launched a year ago. It seems possible, at least in the worlds of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, that somebody could weld one together, but then again, it's contrary to the grime and ardor of the greatest survival games. The Long Dark. The Forest. Stalker 2. Vehicle travel would just undermine the mood and the pace. But then there's Pacific Drive, which is just as focused on crafting, scavenging, and struggle, but almost exclusively takes place behind the wheel of a car. Unique and tough, you can now get it for cheaper than ever. Read the rest of the story... A year ago, Ironwood Studios released it’s first game! After 5 years of development it’s hard to believe, however our work on Pacific Drive hasn’t stopped. Since launch we’ve released three major content updates, twenty patches, and countless bug fixes. The game has sold over a million copies across multiple platforms and we’re completely blown away by the reception to our surreal survival-driving adventure. We’ve taken home awards like PC Gamer’s Survival Game of The Year, the Indie Game Awards Best Music, and we’ve been longlisted for 4 BAFTA’s. We’ve been featured in countless articles and lists for being one of the best games of 2024 - but truly, our proudest accomplishment are the stories told by our players. Who knew you’d all fall so in love with a weird, wood-paneled, station wagon? As a brand new studio made up of developers with a broad variety of backgrounds, achieving this level of success with our first game is beyond our wildest dreams. We can’t thank you all enough for your passion and appreciation. With that being said - we should talk briefly about what’s coming next. We announced late last year that we’d be collaborating with Atomic Monster on a Pacific Drive television adaptation, which is incredibly exciting! Additionally, development also continues on the game and we’re happy to share that we’re currently hard at work on the largest update for Pacific Drive yet. While that’s all we can say for now, we’re excited to share even more in the future. From everyone at Ironwood Studios, thank you all for an incredible first year, stay safe out in The Zone, and we hope you have a great 2025! That's not all - As our way of saying thanks and rewarding that energy we've released digital versions of the Travelers Journal that came with the deluxe edition and for the first time ever, the Owners Manual. This booklet is in-universe content that was previously only available in our extremely limited press kits for the game. You can find the download link for the full PDF's on the homepage of our website. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43621109/5f6cf51344de09601106ed17b91a3ab32f18f681.png We hope you've been enjoying the game, and we'll see you all back out in the Zone very soon! We had megahits like Palworld and Once Human, and excellent genre entries like Enshrouded and Abiotic Factor. Then there was Soulmask, The Forever Winter, and even Infection Free Zone. There were so many I wouldn't be surprised if there are loads you still plan on getting around to playing. We’re gearing up for a pretty big 2025, but we wanted to make sure we took care of this first - so lets lets get to the good stuff. Version 1.8.3 - Tidying up the Garage Drumroll, please - The ‘Garage Barrage’ achievement and progress tracking has been fixed! This issue arose during the recent 4.27 upgrade and was reported quickly by the community. Thanks so much for everyone who submitted tickets and shared their game logs with us. Here’s what happened — when the game launches we build up a cached mapping of the upgraded stations so that we know which upgrades are available to the player within their garage, and this was tied to how the achievement was tracking progress and completion. That list wasn’t being populated correctly due to an internal change in how certain assets are enumerated with the upgrade to 4.27. Our fix is two-fold — obviously, fix that mapping, but also we’re re-checking for certain achievements upon loading your game, as it previously only checked for achievement completion upon upgrading something in your garage. Pretty slick! For those affected by the issue, loading into your game with completed garage upgrades will unlock the achievement immediately. For anyone that hasn’t quite unlocked it yet but noticed the progress was incorrect, your progress will be updated correctly. For those of you rushing to get 100% completion before the end of the holiday, now you can! Best of luck, drive safe, and have fun. Before we forget - we'd like to take a moment to appreciate you, our players, for being so locked in and determined to play as much Pacific Drive as possible. We truly wouldn’t have caught this issue and found a fix without your many reports and contextual info. As a reminder - here’s what you can do if you encounter a bug or crash with Pacific Drive. Submit via our support form here on the website This goes directly to us in the studio and it’s the #1 way for us to get your reports - it also opens up a channel for us to communicate with you 1:1 and really dig in to find solutions. This fix landed today on PC and on PlayStation, so if you’re a console player - worry not! One game that dared to do something different was Pacific Drive, which makes a beat-up station wagon the star of a freaky, supernatural adventure. While it certainly had some kinks to iron out at launch, it's only gotten better throughout the year with a series of free updates. Now, in its latest patch, it adds a mysterious new threat to the Olympic Exclusion Zone, a puzzling new mechanic, and the ability to customize your garage alongside your car. Special shout out to Macksfield, a player from our community who was experimenting with the upgrades and discovered that unintended radiation was making it's way into the Drivers suit. Dumpster Pearls now properly provide resources when fed to the Matter Deconstructor. This was related to harmful status effects and/or fatigue effects being disabled in the settings.
