You can finally try out Old School RuneScape’s first new skill in nearly two decades right nowMar 20, 2025 - PC GamerOld School RuneScape has always had a tightrope to walk—honor the past it exists to keep alive without completely stagnating while modern RuneScape, or RuneScape 3, does whatever it wants—which makes today a historic occasion for the long-running MMO. While past additions have been abstemious, largely in line with the school of design and scope you’d expect from RuneScape’s humble 2007 version, the new sailing skill adds a whole dimension of play... PSA: We've polished the Alpha as much as possible, but this is an Alpha, it's not a finished skill. If you encounter unfinished issues, you can use the in-game bug report form to let the team know what's wrong. We'll hotfix what we can, though larger fixes or feedback points will need to come via future builds. You can find the in-game bug report button on your chat box. It's a red report button and right-clicking it will show the report game bug option. You saw it at RuneFest – now’s your chance to try the Sailing Alpha at home! Get ready to jump into a massive, open Sailing playtest packed with exciting high-seas adventure. Start off on a teeny tiny raft and improve your skill as a sailor until you eventually become an experienced captain - commanding a crew of your own and traversing the most hazardous of waters. On your journey you'll dive with mermaids, chase ducks and explore the far reaches of the ocean. Many roads lead to 99, but the path you choose is up to you. Recently, players tried Sailing for the very first time in-person at RuneFest. It was incredible! The LAN area was packed throughout both days, making for an unforgettable experience. It was our first large scale playtest of the Alpha, and now it's time for an even BIGGER one! Some of you still have questions or concerns about Sailing, and that’s exactly why the Sailing Alpha matters. It’s your chance to get hands-on and experience the skill for yourself. You already know how Sailing looks in blogs or videos, but we want to know how it feels when you're playing it. We make content for you, and we care about your feedback. Give it a chance and you might just find that you've discovered your new favourite skill! The Alpha is expected to take approximately 75 minutes to complete, and it will be open for one week. Let's start with an explanation of what is in the Alpha – check out this video made in collaboration with Gunschilli and GentleTractor! https://youtu.be/nOa20hB0OO0?si=eiWu6vmrSGl7W0hu If you can't view the video above, click here. Getting Started The Alpha is available on PC via RuneLite, Java or the Official C++ Client. Unfortunately, it won't be available on mobile. Any member's account can simply select a Sailing Alpha Playtest world from the world selection menu, and log in to begin testing. Once in the game, you'll quickly be taken to Port Sarim - an important starting location for all things Sailing. As we're using Beta Worlds, there are two buttons under the Settings menu (Gameplay) tab that will be useful to know: 'Covert save to Beta Worlds': This works from regular worlds and will copy your save over to the beta worlds. You will retain your stats, with a couple potential...Clan Event ImprovementsMar 19, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39707052/3f744b17e08f47761658bb27f8483466c4957621.png PSA: The work to transfer any remaining League Points that hadn't transferred during Leagues V: Raging Echoes, is now complete! The response from players at RuneFest was fantastic, and we can't wait for all of you to set sail for the very first time. As such, this week's game update is a bit lighter as we focus on preparing for this momentous event. Clan Events Update As you count down to tomorrow’s launch of the Sailing Alpha, we’ve made a small but handy update to Clan Events! You can now select Phantom Muspah, Hueycoatl, Amoxliatl, and Royal Titans when creating or editing events. Plus, we’ve added a 'To Be Confirmed' option to give your clan more flexibility in planning. Introducing new charms, reimagined PvP mechanics, and the return of boss breaches. Changelog March 12th Permanent Deadman W345 Updates Added four new charms, obtained from killing NPCs at 200 combat level or higher: Nimbleness Charm: Boosts Marks of Grace drops from one to five, lets you bypass Agility level requirement restrictions on shortcuts, and auto re-pickpockets NPCs. Stockpiling Charm: Triples rewards from Wintertodt, Tempoross, and Guardians of the Rift, stacks Clue Scroll drops, and auto-Banks skilling resources. Accumulation Charm: Triples Clue Scroll drops, Chinchompa captures, and skilling resources, and provides 5x Runecraft yields. Vulnerability Charm: Increases Accuracy against monsters by 50%, multiplies Thrall Max Hits by 5, and cuts incoming monster damage by 25%. Boss breaches now appear on weekends! Both area and specific location breaches will occur, just as in Deadman Armageddon. Up to 25 NPCs spawn in area breaches, and up to 6 NPCs spawn in specific location ones. They'll be dropping: Ancient Warrior Weapons Trinkets previously seen in Deadman: Armageddon New charms (although you've mostly seen their effects in previous Deadman events) Sigils and corrupted weapons remain off-limits. If you have protection still, you will not be able to attack any breach NPCs, both in single and multi-combat zones. Each breach monster drops one Chitin per kill with a 50% chance for a bonus supply drop instead. Weekend breaches will occur every four hours, starting on Saturday at 02:00 GMT. The last breach will be on Sunday at 22:00 GMT. You’ll get a timely notification in your chat when a breach goes live. You can also talk to Perdu to see where the breach is and how long it will be around for. Combat brackets are now divided into Levels 3–75, 76–85, and 86+ with a 2x unique drop rate modifier for each bracket. The PJ Timer now follows a last-hit system. Land that final blow to trigger an uninterrupted teleport, or risk having your escape cut off by a sneaky PKer. When PKed, attackers now only grab 50% of your top 10 stackable items. Added supply drop tables from Deadman: Armageddon. Wilderness Slayer Tasks now yield both Tier 1 and Tier 5 Emblems. Changes to Morrigan’s Javelin Special: The bleed effect triggers every tick (down from every three ticks) with damage boosted from 5 to 10 per tick. Total bleed equals 75% of your original hit (e.g. a 40-damage hit produces three bleed splats of 10 each). Buffed Morrigan’s Thrownaxe: Now only consumes 25% special attack. A successful hit speeds up your next attack by 1 tick, making it a slick 3-tick attack on rapid. Classic Content Returns: Giant seaweed runs on Fossil Island are back! Frog random events now stick around. “Crack the Clue 3” can be completed. Bounty Hunter Shop Additions: Imbue Scroll: 1,000,000 points. Castle Wars Halos: 500,000 points each. Trouver Par...Game Jam: Charges QoL Improvements | March 5thMar 5, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39707052/9649faa648c643f36b1b27227aa28bf5f10bcee3.png Remember the Charges QoL improvements from Game Jam V? They are now live in-game! Changelog - March 5th Game Jam: Charges QoL Improvements You can now work towards blessing or corruption by charging your Dizana's Quiver or Enhanced Crystal weapons and using them, similar to how the Arclight transforms into Emberlight. Toggleable feature: You can now set certain items to withdraw from the bank automatically charged. What's more, you can set the desired amount of charges applied, so that each time you can just grab and go - provided you have the necessary items to charge it, of course! Other Changes Echo Ahrim's equipment will now respect placeholders, the same as non-ornamented Barrows items. Fixed an issue where certain ornament kits, painted items, and upgrade attachments were not correctly unlocking in the Collection Log for Iron players. Reanimated Giants now have a chance of dropping the Champions' Challenge scroll, since the giants who drop the ensouled head are mostly the same ones who could drop that scroll. PvP Rota The PvP rota has moved to Period A: 539 - (US) - PvP World 318 - (UK) - Bounty Hunter World 548 - (Germany) - High-Risk PvP World 577 - (US) - Free-to-Play PvP World 559 - (UK) - LMS Competitive World 390 (AUS) for LMS Competitive has been activated with this rota. World 569 (AUS) for Bounty Hunter has been activated with this rota. The PvP Arena is using 'Zerker' loadouts in Ranked Duels and Tournaments this week. RuneFest 2025 is behind us, and what an event it was! We had an absolute blast celebrating our shared love for the game with 'Scapers from all over the world, whether in the arena or tuning in from home. With the team hard at work during the event, this week's update is small but mighty. Let’s dive in! Game Jam: Charges QoL Improvements Corruption Finally free from the red prison but feeling like you can't use your Bow of Faerdhinen until you've corrupted it? If that sounds like you, this week's update has got you covered! As of this game update, used charges now contribute to the corruption process. In other words, by charging your Dizana's Quiver or Enhanced Crystal weapons and using them, you'll make progress towards blessing or corruption - similar to how the Arclight transforms into Emberlight. Meaning you don't need to wait and accumulate a lump sum of charges to corrupt an item all at once, you can just use it, top it up and eventually it'll corrupt/bless itself - neat! Maintaining Charges {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39707052/e83ca86ad716e996990ef45b660f68471ce02cd0.gif If you can’t see the image above, click here! Gone are the days where you have to check your item's charges, or create room in your inventory to charge the item while your raid group is yelling at you! It's been in the works for some time, first surfacing in a survey a couple of years ago before being fully revealed in September, 2024. At RuneFest 2025 we got a closer look at what it has to offer, with Jagex showcasing a formidable new Rat King-inspired mode, as well as the PvP Falador Fight Club. The community servers are a place where your wildest, most chaotic dreams can become a reality, and they're now one of Old School RuneScape's most hotly anticipated features. Speaking exclusively to PCGamesN, senior tech designer Tom 'Mod Tomb' Burk and senior product manager Tom 'Mod TJ' Jackson (yes, that got confusing very quickly) tell me about their ambitions for Zanaris, and how they plan to embrace the anarchy. Changelog February 26th PoH Changes Mounted heads can now be switched out and upgraded without removing the entire display. New house styles for Canifis and Civitas are available! Visit an Estate Agent near you to redecorate. Improved PoH animations including sitting, combat ring entry and exit, treasure and storage interactions, and new interactions for the Trailblazer Globe and League Hall. Expanded room capacity! You'll now get up to four more rooms than before, depending on your Construction level. As before, your room cap increases every six levels, across most of the skill. The PoH Bookcase is now alphabetized and fits onto a single menu page. The Beaver pet's dialogue in the Menagerie now functions correctly for all recoloured variants. Royal Titans Range Defence Clarified Royal Titans' Ranged Defence mechanics - Ranged Accuracy increases by 500% when Titans move away from melee range in stages 1 and 2. This also applies to the Stage 3 charge-up attack both during the charge-up itself and the actual pulses hitting the ground. Client and Mobile Updates Fixed an issue where the Kingdom Management UI displayed a solid white background on mobile. Other Changes Updated Combat Achievement notifications displayed on transparent Chatboxes to prioritize the 'Walk here' option instead of 'View task'. Added a revert option for the Emberlight, Purging Staff and Scorching Bow to allow players to convert them back into a Synapse. Any charges or infusions will be lost in the process. You will now have one tick to walk away before being venomed if you accidentally walk into a Cursed Baboon. Graceful now displays the percentage bonus boost to Run Energy restoration rate in the Equipment Stats menu. Echo Virtus robes are now recognized as a Zaros item in the God Wars Dungeon. Untradeable items that typically convert into another item on death now count towards the Bounty Hunter risk calculation used to represent the skull risk values in Daimon's Crater – including the Armadyl Godsword (Deadman), Berserker Ring (i), and Abyssal Dagger (BH). Fixed a rare issue with inaccurate broadcasts during GIM leader abdication. The right-click option on Matthias the Falconer is now more helpful for players whose falcons have despawned. The Robe of Elidinis has regained its gold colour when worn. Fixed a bug where on rare occasions Kwuarm patches would harvest Avantoe. Fixed an issue with loading friend's chat channel names where extra text could sometimes be included. Fixed numerous visibility issues where NPCs and objects become invisible in certain scenarios. Changelog - February 18th Royal Titans Combat Achievements Royal Titans Combat Achievements are here! Take on a new set of Easy to Elite tasks, including speed challenges, perfect kills, and teamwork feats to test your skills. Already ahead of the game? If you've met the requirements, your Kill Count and Speed Achievements will auto-complete as soon as you open the CA interface! Royal Titans Changes The HP threshold for joining an ongoing Royal Titans fight has been lowered from 510 to 450, allowing you to enter at a slightly later stage. Added a "Quick-start" option when right-clicking the entrance at the Royal Titans to directly create a fight. The Twinflame staff will now grant a reduction of 1 action delay when finishing off a Royal Titan minion with the echo hit from a bolt/blast/wave spell. This behaviour already exists for all other weapons/spells when you kill a Royal Titan minion. Royal Titans Drop Rates If solo, Branda and Eldric will drop Prayer Scrolls and Twinflame staff pieces at a rate of 1 in 75. The Giantsoul amulet drops at a rate of 1 in 16. In a duo, assuming both players contribute exactly 50% of the damage to each of the titans, the Prayer Scrolls and Twinflame staff pieces drop at a rate of 1 in 150. The Giantsoul amulet drops at a rate of 1 in 32. This means that if you're killing the Titans twice as fast in a duo and doing exactly 50% of the damage, your time to obtain uniques is exactly the same. Since duos tend to be more than twice as fast, you should always obtain uniques faster if you're pairing up with another player. Regular loot quantities and unique drop rates are based on your individual contribution. If you're a mid-level account duoing with a maxed-out Scythe/Torva user, your chances to see uniques in your name will feel lower. There's no MVP system at play, so both players can obtain uniques and pets on the same kill. The pet rate is 1 in 3,000, or 1 in 1,500 when sacrificing, neither of these rates scale with contribution. Hard Clue Scrolls drop at a rate of 1 in 25, whereas Elite Clue Scrolls 1 in 100. Contribution doesn't matter for these. OSRS 12th Birthday Rewards Head to the Party Room and chat with Deviled Dave to claim your classic Imp outfit. Once you've collected this year's reward, you'll also unlock the ability to reclaim any past birthday rewards you may have missed by speaking with Party Pete. Alternatively, you can unlock this feature through the rewards table - but remember, you'll still need to talk to Deviled Dave if you want to receive this year's rewards. If your account is too new to claim tradeable rewards you’ll be able to reclaim them from the reward table once you've accrued enough playtime. Changelog February 12th Royal Titans Changes Players can now exchange Giantsoul Amulets with the Odd Old Man for 30 Big Bones each. World 567 is now the suggested Royal Titans world. The enrage slam animation is no longer delayed by a tick on certain occasions. Fixed a bug where a Titan’s body disappeared upon death, its base persisted after respawning, and ice remained in the arena for the next fight. The Prayer filter will no longer show older Prayer icons after they are upgraded. Teleporting out of the Royal Titans boss arena will now nullify any incoming damage to prevent death. Tagged minion hitboxes have been scaled down and no longer take up so much space. On sacrifice, if a player doesn't receive the pet, a message will appear in the chatbox to say: "You don't feel lucky during your sacrifice". Client and Mobile Updates The HiScores panel now remembers the previously searched data set. Failed HiScore searching now displays new UI and text within the search bar. Added a new toggle which allows chat filters to always show, even when chat is collapsed. The HiScores popout panel will now auto-open when the player uses the in-world lookup feature. Mobile users can now hide split private chat when the chatbox is closed. The Barrows Interface no longer gets stuck behind the Minimap interface. Adjusted the deadzones around the chatbox and the left side on the mobile client. Menus now appear in front of Minimap orbs, and important functions like the close button won't be blocked when they overlap. Certain hotkeys with a corresponding checkbox or toggle in the Settings menu now correctly sync to the correct state. The loot tracker no longer shows incorrect truncated numbers on the enhanced client. When using the hotkey side panel, the buff bar now dodges as it would if the player used the right-side stones. Poll 83 Improvements Players can now "Reset" birdhouses, allowing you to dismantle an existing birdhouse and automatically build and place a new one. The clockwork mechanism from the previous birdhouse is reused. Players can now build and place a birdhouse directly on an empty patch with a single click, provided they have all the necessary tools and materials. Both of the above changes will use pre-made birdhouses you carry with you before attempting to make one out of bits. Net traps used to catch Salamanders can now be reset automatically. Players can now trade in duplicate Hunter Guild uniques with Verity in exchange for a reroll on the Master Sack loot table (excluding uniques and the pet). Eligible items include: Enhanced Quetzal Whistle Blueprint, Perfected Quetzal Whistle Blueprint, Huntsman's Kit, or any of the four Guild Hunter gear pieces. When using the Alchemy spell on the Explorer’s Ring, Runes will now be used from your Inventory before consuming...Royal Titans is Out Today! | February 5thFeb 5, 2025 - Community Announcements{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39707052/e04c6a60ecef76d9ee31303cdbc3e19f7bdcc72f.png Team up and face the mighty Royal Titans, a brand-new duo boss that will put your combat skills to the test! Changelog February 5th Royal Titans The Royal Titans have arrived in the Asgarnia Ice Dungeon! Travel to the north-western section of the dungeon and enter the small cave beside the giant throne to challenge them. Royal Titans Rewards Twinflame Staff: A 6-tick magical weapon that automatically detects a target’s elemental weakness and casts the appropriate spell. When using Bolt, Blast, or Wave spells from the Standard Spellbook, the staff triggers an echo hit dealing 40% of the original damage. New Prayer Scrolls: Deadeye (+18% Ranged Attack, +18% Ranged Strength, +5% Defence) and Mystic Vigour (+18% Magic Attack, +3% Magic Damage, +5% Defence). Giantsoul Amulet: An untradable amulet that can teleport users to the Royal Titans’ arena, Obor's lair or Bryophyta's lair. Desiccated pages: An untradeable, uncommon drop that converts into Burnt, Soaked, or Soiled Pages at new plinths (50 Runecraft required). The Royal Titans have a pet! Use the sacrifice option to double your pet drop chance. Royal Titans Discord Banner We have a winner, folks! Check out some of the amazing creative artwork in the blog, and a huge thank you to everyone who submitted their designs! Other Changes The Leagues Tutor has packed away his gear from the Lumbridge Courtyard but can still be found on the southeast spire of Lumbridge Castle. Fixed issues with the Max Cape teleport display options. Colosseum Totems once again respect the player's attack delay. Ironman accounts (excluding GIM) can now add more specific whitelisted items to their Collection Log Book, including the Swift Blade, Fedora, Partyhat and Specs, Amulet of Rancour and Pharaoh's Sceptre. The Emblem Trader now has a new option to discuss the values of different skulls. Items from Bounty Hunter Supply Crates will now be released into the Inventory in a more varied order: 3 Manta Rays or Anglerfish, 1 Karambwan, 3 Manta Rays or Anglerfish, 1 Karambwan, and finally 2 Manta rays or Anglerfish. The skull icons used in Bounty Hunter to represent risk values will now have golden eyes if a player is skulled. The Bounty Hunter ancient warrior weapon values have been updated to reflect their new charge costs. The sit animation will no longer cause players' heads to stretch when used with the Easter Egg Helm. Fixed typos on Hunter Skill Capes. Fixed an issue where the Strange Old Lockpick degraded erroneously in certain Barrows corridors. Client and Mobile Updates The HP bar is no longer hidden behind the BH skulls when playing on Mobile and C++. Fixed an issue with the activity adviser not displaying content on some devices. This update brought Bounty Hunter changes alongside improvements to Collection Logs and emotes. Adjusted the charge costs for specific items: Vesta’s Spear (5 Million), Statius’s Warhammer (10 Million), Morrigan's Throwing Axe (5 Million), Morrigan's Javelin (10 Million), and Zuriel's Staff (5 Million). Removed the ability to bring Phoenix Necklaces into Daimon's Crater. Doubled EP gain rate for players with a minimum of 50,000 risk and active targets. Risk tiers now display coloured skulls based on the amount of GP risked, ranging from Bronze ( 8 Million). Players can pre-pack two supply crates in the lobby to bring with them to Daimon's Crater. Collection Log Improvements Streamlined the overview interface. The overview now includes your 12 most recently obtained items and a new ranking system - progression ranks from Bronze (100 collections) to Gilded (% based, but around 1400 collections currently). Head to The Collector in Varrock Museum to claim your Staff of Collection (Ranging from Bronze to Gilded). Right-click the staff to create the accompanying Book. Ironmen accounts (not GIM) can now retroactively log certain whitelisted items obtained before December 2018. This will only include tradeable items that were on the Log from launch. Compete with others on the new Collection Log HiScores! Emote Improvements Perform emotes by typing "::anyemote" or "!anyemote" in the chat box. For example: !cheer or ::cheer. Right-click and select 'Loop emote' to perform certain animations (currently Dance, Jig, Headbang, Fortis Salute, and Sit Down) continuously. Added a new Sit emote. Other Changes The Raging Echoes Rug can now be built in the League Hall. Players can now create Chromium Ingots after discovering the secret of Chromium Smithing in the Undercity of Lassar. Fixed typos on the Max Cape teleport. Fixed a visual issue with Skotizo's magic attack. It is now possible to click completed Combat Achievement tasks in the chat box to see their description. World hopping should no longer produce an abnormal amount of Forestry events. Increased the rate (50-150s → 40-120s) and radius (20 tiles → 30 tiles) of player eligibility for Forestry events. The new Deposit Lock buttons can now be right-clicked to toggle the locks off and on again more conveniently. PSA: Before we get started, please note that the Friends List and Friends Chat may be unavailable for a few minutes following today’s update. We expect this to be resolved very quickly, but content that relies on these systems (such as the Chambers of Xeric) will be impacted for a short while. Changelog January 22nd Game Jam updates Customizable Mini Menu improvements let you hover to view all teleport options for smoother escapes. The new Inventory to Bank Locking feature prevents accidental banking of essential items, making trips easier and more efficient. Leagues V Ends and Bug Fixes Leagues V has concluded! Check out the League Firsts board in Lumbridge Castle Courtyard. Restored the stats of the Virtus Mask. Additionally, it will no longer appear as “The Batman" floating head in the chat box. Added functionality to remove the Raging Echoes scrolls from PoH furniture. Added Echo Venator Bow Ornament Kit and Echo Spirit Tree Scroll to be marketable via the GE. Added a rotation option for PoH Spirit Trees, accessed by using a spade on the tree. Raging Echoes Relic Hunter sets are now storable on the PoH Armour Stand. The Virtus Ornament kit outfit is now storable in the magic wardrobe. Fixed a bug where the Goblin Decorations would not change the appearance of specific PoH items. The Venator Bow has a new projectile that more closely matches the one in the concept art. Players are now redirected to the Spirit Tree in their PoH when using the Fairy Ring teleports, instead of being teleported to the Fairy Ring, due to the Raging Echo override. Ahrim's Ornament Kit can now be used on an Ahrim's Staff, and purchasing Ahrim's Kits from the Reward Shop will now provide four kits rather than three to match this. For those who bought a set of kits from the reward shop before this update, an extra kit will be added to your Bank at some time post-update, as this is a manual process. Other changes Updated side panel tabs to match players' side panel transparency settings. Further changes to Chambers of Xeric points have been made to prevent megascale boosting: Personal points are no longer capped at 131,071 during the raid, while regular loot reward rolls are still capped at 131,071 points. Guildmaster Jane now speaks fewer lines of dialogue when she rewards you for completing a contract and offers you another one. Fixed the non-functional options for equipping Trailblazer Tools from the Bank menu. Updated the menu ordering for certain items, including Drakan's Medallion and Pharaoh's Sceptre, to prioritize key actions over the 'Use' option. Client and Mobile Updates On Monday, January 20th we rolled out our latest mobile and client update, version 228.2, so the following change is already live in-game. I'm not unfamiliar with the game, having played it way back in the day, but RuneScape at the extremes can be a pretty wild place, a world where players suddenly break the dam on a 16 year-old minigame by overwhelming guards en masse, or some thrillseeker risks a 370-hour no-hit account to get a fancy cape (to be fair, it does have flames)... Can we get them for real life? PSA: Before we get started, please note that the Friends List and Friends Chat may be unavailable for a few minutes following today’s update. We expect this to be resolved very quickly, but content that relies on these systems (such as the Chambers of Xeric) will be impacted for a short while. Now, on with the newspost! Changelog January 8th Run Energy Changes Considerably improved Energy regeneration at lower Agility levels while leaving it unchanged at Level 99. Energy Drains more slowly in all scenarios, at every Weight and Agility level. This becomes more significant as Agility level and Weight increase. Leagues V There are two more weeks left to enjoy Leagues V: Raging Echoes! Next week, the Leagues Reward Shop will go live and you’ll be able to spend your hard-earned League Points. Other Changes Miscellaneous Changes and Fixes Now that you’ve helped the stray dogs of Falador find their fur-ever homes, we’re removing the Christmas 2024 Event. The dogs will remain with their new owners. Feel free to visit and pet them any time! Zahur is once again making Huasca Potion (unf) as intended. To prevent megascale boosting abuse at Chambers of Xeric, we've changed how unique rewards are distributed. Now players who leave a raid in progress are eligible to receive unique items, but if they would do so, the reward is discarded instead. This ensures that leaving a CoX raid no longer transfers loot chances onto remaining participants. Water jugs in the Tombs of Amascut Zebak fight can now be attacked with Magic, as intended. Dharok the Wretched no longer deals his max hit on every successful attack after his health has been reduced. Fixed an issue where The Whisperer’s tentacles failed to spawn under certain conditions. The left-click/tap option on Runecrafting Pouches will now dynamically swap between “Fill” and “Empty”, depending on their status and what you have in your Inventory. If you were using the Menu Entry Swapper for these pouches, you may need to set "Fill" as the left-click option for the dynamic effect to start working. Removed a restriction which prevented players from receiving Master Clues for 30 seconds after they last received one. Increased Combat Achievement buffs when choosing how many Barrows Brothers to kill for a Boss Slayer Task, so that the maximum is always a multiple of 6. The Scorching Bow now works for a range of demonbane-themed Combat Achievements. Tormented Demons and Demonic Gorillas now correctly appear in the Combat Achievements monster drop-down list. Fixed an issue where pieces of Barrows or Perilous Moons kits would break prematurely when attempting to drop them with the 'valuable item' warning active. Fixed an issue where degraded Perilous Moon kit pieces in free-to-play would delete them. The Clothes Pouch Blueprint can now be crafted w...Christmas 2024 Event | December 10thDec 10, 2024 - Community AnnouncementsHeads up 'Scapers: You'll notice a 45-min timer in-game, followed by 30-min downtime, with the Christmas 2024 Event going live at 12:00 GMT. Added suitably festive rewards for completing the event. Leagues V Fixes Task Fixes The "Activate an Arcane or Dexterous Scroll" task has been fixed for players without the Grimoire. You can now complete it by simply reading an Arcane or Dexterous Scroll. The chatbox closing prematurely no longer blocks the "Activate the Statue of Ates" task. If you've already met the requirements but the task wasn't registered, the task will be retroactively completed for you when opening the Areas/Relics/Masteries interface from the Leagues V Menu. Obtaining the Quetzin now completes the task "Obtain a skilling pet", as intended. The "Equip a Full God Dragonhide Set" task can now be completed with Zamorakian Dragonhide Armour. The "Brutally Murder Conrad King" task will now be auto-completed when you unlock Kourend and Kebos. If you've already unlocked Kourend and Kebos, the task will retroactively complete upon opening the Areas/Relics/Masteries interface. The "Garden of Death" task will now be auto-completed when you unlock the Desert. If you've already unlocked the Desert, the task will be retroactively completed for you when opening the Areas/Relics/Masteries interface from the Leagues V Menu. Echo boss kills now count towards the Kill Count tasks of Combat Achievements. Echoes from the melee mastery no longer fail the tasks to kill bosses with specific weapons. Additionally, echoes no longer affect non-melee Nylocas in Theatre of Blood. Corrected the text on the “Have Elsie tell you a story” task description to state that she lives in Varrock, not Falador. Corrected the description of the "Steal 15 Artefacts" task. Clue Step Fixes You can now complete the following clue steps without issue if you have Treasure Arbiter unlocked: Talk to Robin with 180+ Ranged Attack. Talk to Ghommal with 100+ Strength bonus. Talk to Juna whilst wearing three Guthix items. Anger emote at the Saradomin statue in Varrock with a Zamorak Godsword. Do a jig at the Barrows chest whilst wearing a set of Barrows. Changelog December 4th Leagues V: Raging Echoes The Issues and Fixes blog includes all the hotfixes we’ve made since launch. This week also brings the following coldfixes: The League area emote animation now no longer hides other animations. There was a bug causing both the Crush Hour Combat Achievement from Phosani's Nightmare and the Temotli Triumph CA for Amoxliatl to fail. The Treasure Arbiter now works with the master cryptic clue featuring Juna. "Complete all Combat Tasks" were not registering for Vardorvis, Leviathan, Duke, Whisperer, Araxxor, and Perilous Moons despite all Combat Achievements being completed. We fixed a bug causing the Jewelled Crabs at CoX to switch to the wrong attack style when using Nature's Reprisal, plus roll incorrect accuracy with the melee style. Players with Grimoire activated can now complete the Task for redeeming an Arcane/Dex scroll, as intended. Fixed an issue where players couldn't get hydra or araxyte tasks. Equipping the Corrupted Bowfa now correctly completes the regular enhanced weapon Task. And the following hotfix in case you missed it earlier this week: Using the Total Recall orb to save a Runecrafting altar in a Region you don't have access to was causing the inability to store new memories to the orb. Other Changes Added a toggle for the minimenu scrollbar, which appears when minimenus contain more than 12 entries. Fixed a bug with the Rock Cake stall which prevented progress on the Watchtower Quest in main game worlds. The Rune Thrownaxe’s special attack now correctly deals damage when bouncing after being used on the doors of the Dagannoth Kings’ lair. The Infernal Axe now keeps its charges upon using the ‘Change-style’ option when ornamented. Changelog November 27th Leagues V: Raging Echoes Leagues V: Raging Echoes worlds will go online today at 12:00 noon GMT. In typical fashion, this year’s League shakes up the formula with some new features: Echo Bosses: Nine fearsome new takes on familiar foes. There’s one Echo Boss in each region, although you won’t encounter them in the starting zones. Combat Masteries: Earn League Points by completing Combat Mastery Tasks! Each style has six tiers, with a maximum of 10 Points available. QoL, new Relics, and more! Other Changes The loot tracker in the Official Client now records logs that went directly into a Log Basket. Raised the death protection value of Zealot Robes to reliably keep them above Superior Dragon Bones. When an upgraded Granite Maul turns to coins after a PvP death, the game now gives enough coins to reflect the values of both the Maul and the Ornate Handle. Updated in-game menus that previously referred to the Hard Leather Shield as a generic “Leather Shield”. Fixed a bug where NPC Prayer styles were not mitigating damage properly. Updated old Farming code. Refactored some Managing Miscellania code. Fixed a bug where a Sunfire Armour Clue Step did not appear in Varlamore. Ultimate Iron accounts can now talk to Death to toggle their death animations, if they have unlocked any. On special worlds such as Leagues and DMM, the Stronghold of Security will now always let you through the doors without a prompt. Added the missing 16 Magic Defence to the Dragonhunter Wand. Araxxor's kickout mechanic has been refined to prevent players from getting stuck under its corpse. Last Week Last week we had a small engine update which didn't warrant its own newspost, so in case you missed them, here are the changes already in-game: Fixed an issue where certain overhead chat messages failed to appear. Fixed an issue where yellow clicks were registered 4 pixels away from where they should be when playing with the fixed interface layout. Fixed invisible clan cloaks and vexillums. Fixed the missing "Walk here" option when there is no terrain under the mouse. Fixed Ctrl-Click walking incorrectly playing a run animation at the end of the movement cycle. Leagues V: Raging Echoes The wait is almost over! Plus, Mobile UI and Official Client fixes, Curse of Arrav tweaks and Wilderness QoL Changelog November 13th Guardians of the Rift Adjusted minigame scaling depending on the number of players. Players may now ‘build’ Guardians at the very end of the round, which offers the usual Runecraft XP. Players may also build Barriers or Guardians during the setup phase so that there’s more time for mining. Conversely, this does not provide the usual Runecraft XP. At least one Medium-tier (or above) altar will spawn in the first and second waves. Cells can be used on Barriers for XP (up to a cap of 2,500 XP and 450 Energy) even if they're at full HP. Destroyed Barriers can now be repaired using 12 Guardian Fragments instead of 10 Guardian Essence. Players now have the option to loot five rewards at a time from The Rewards Guardian. Players can now exchange 25 Abyssal Pearls for an additional reward search. The Colossal Pouch is now useable at any Runecraft level and its capacity scales depending on which tier of Essence Pouches you can use. Abyssal Pearl drops now roll between 14 and 16, instead of 10 and 20. Mobile UI and Official Client Fixes The Bank Pin interface is no longer overlapped by the left-hand side panel. After depositing paydirt into the hopper in Motherlode Mine, the Sack's counter now updates correctly. On Our Radar: The team is actively working to fix an issue relating to the Minimenu Reordering dots disappearing if the Tap-to-Drop, Tile Highlights, or NPC Tag features are enabled. The latest fix requires no workaround when interacting with NPC Tag and Menu Entry Swapper, so you will be able to simply disable NPC Tag to show Minimenu Entry Swapper. However this will still not allow you to use them at the same time. Likewise, you can simply disable Tap-to-drop and Tile Highlights edit mode to restore the Menu Entry Swapper button. We'll keep you updated once there's a permanent fix. Curse of Arrav Tweaks Arrav's Ranged defence stats are now calculated and displayed correctly. It is no longer possible to walk into a wall at the Uzer Mastaba. The Messenger who delivers Elias' message will now be able to find players while they are in Bank areas. If a player is venomed when defeating Arrav, their venom will now be cured when they begin the cutscene. Wilderness QoL Updates You can now use Blighted Items in the Ferox Enclave and Mage Bank. You can now delete a Loot Key if it's worth more than 30,000 GP. This limit has been increased to 1,000,000 GP. Loot from Larran’s Chests and the Muddy Chest will now go straight into your Looting Bag, if it’s open. Fixed an unusual interaction across single- and multi-combat borders: Assume Player A and Player B are in multi-combat and Player C is in single-combat. If Player A and Player B are fighting in multi-combat, then Player C can happily attack Player A ...
