Human: Fall Flat

Wrap up warm for brand new Human: Fall Flat level, ICENov 6, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsWell hello there, trusty humans. It’s been incredible watching our fans enjoy free Human: Fall Flat level STEAM since its launch back in August. The weird and wonderful ways you’ve all found to explore this new dreamscape have really taken us by surprise. Thank-you so much for all your support. But we hear you loud and clear: nothing says thank-you like new content… It’s time to grab a wooly hat and button up those coats. Today we’re excited to announce that brand new free Human: Fall Flat level ICE is available to download right now! Hooray! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/25421434/98fd402a8487d0ff47606b2f9bde719a4a0382cd.gif With its chilling winds and slippery platforms, ICE is the first winter-themed core level to fall into Human: Fall Flat. Caught in a snow-laden new wonderland, players will have to conquer perilous cliffsides, dangerous drops and elaborate wooden contraptions as they make their way towards the level’s snowy peaks. There are plenty of new items scattered across ICE too, including frozen blocks that serve both as convenient but slippery platforms and a vital part of new puzzles. Keep your eyes peeled for beams of light breaking through the clouds on your travels. Something tells us those ice blocks won’t last in the sunlight. Oh, and did we mention there's snowboarding? {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/25421434/736d89db4e6f88b7baeffd962fdec48d6400c131.gif As with all new levels, ICE can be enjoyed with a friend in local co-op or with up to eight humans online. Firstly, I’m heading off on my expedition to attempt to break the Curse Of Steam Charts for the next couple of weeks. (more…) Bizarre physics puzzler Human: Fall Flat now has Steam Workshop supportApr 2, 2019 - PC GamerHuman: Fall Flat, the game about throwing alarmingly physics prone little people around puzzle-oriented maps, now has Steam Workshop support. That means players can now create their own maps, their own skins, their own lobbies, and probably much more besides.  These lobbies can support up to eight players online thanks to a 2017 update. The game has sold over five million copies at this point, which is quite astonishing for what many would regard a niche game. You can even have a nice nap in it, if you like.  There's a heap of documentation for how to use the Workshop tools here, including example maps, templates and "prefab testbeds". Best of all, if you're not keen on doing the heavy-lifting of creation, the game's growing community will no doubt create a wealth of new content over the coming months. If you're new to the game, here are some handy tips on how to solve the game's comedic physics puzzles.  Steam Workshop support and content OUT NOWApr 2, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsGreat news, Humans! On Monday, developer Curve Digital celebrated the 5 million sales milestone. To mark that, and the Chinese New Year, Human Fall Flat players are getting free stuff.  Human: Fall Flat is 50 percent off for Steam's Lunar New Years Sale, making it a mere £6/$7.49. Along with the discount, four new—ever so slightly terrifying—skins have been flung into the mix, and everyone gets them for free. There's a rodeo clown, a cowboy, a hiker and a crime against nature that crams three entire pigs into one skin. There's a snout where you'd normally expect an arse. Jesus. It's the first of many content drops happening this year, says the developer.  If you're just starting out, Samuel Horti collected a bunch of his favourite solutions to Human: Fall Flat's ridiculous physics puzzles, so give that a read. In 2017, multiplayer was also introduced, so you can collaborate with your fellow Jelly Babies to solve puzzles or, presumably, get in their way. At the very least, expect a bit more chaos.  The new skins are available now. Happy Lunar New Year 2019!Feb 4, 2019 - Community Announcements Hello Humans! Speak to you very soon Bob'ly yours, Tomas Sakalauskas & Curve DigitalHow multiplayer fell into Human: Fall FlatNov 21, 2018 - Rock, Paper, ShotgunThis is The Mechanic, where Alex Wiltshire invites developers to discuss the difficult journeys they ve taken to make their games. This time, Human: Fall Flat . Obviously, obviously, Human: Fall Flat is primed for multiplayer. It s a knockabout physics game in which you play as a wobbly non-Newtonian man. He s ungainly and awkward to control and, for heck s sake, Gang Beasts showed how funny that combination is when several players get together. Yet developer Tomas Sakalauskas never really saw his game like that. Human Fall Flat was meant to be a singleplayer physics-based puzzle game, a meeting of Portal and Limbo. And besides, he was pretty sure that online multiplayer was impossible. But it s what players asked for, so what could he do? (more…)
