Fall Development UpdateNov 17, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsHey Chroniclers, We know, we know – we owe you guys an update, so here’s one for you! Next week we’re releasing an update that adds a few really important stability improvements, which resolves a couple of issues that we’re aware of and also adds support for future seasons. Beyond this, we’re working on another update with further fixes and we have some plans for the run up to Christmas too! The Great Balancing So, what happened to those weekly balance updates?! To be honest, we found the cadence a little too much for all the different moving parts in the team and the changes that did happen, didn’t quite have the impact we'd hoped for. So, we felt it would be best to take a different approach…That's why we'll be releasing the FULL list of planned changes in the next week or two and then adding them all into game at once! Included in the changes will be big names like Count Draynor, Captain Rovin, Fern, Gravecreeper and more. There will be 50+ changes coming to mix up the meta and give you more options than ever before. On top of the balance changes above, there is something else we're really excited about… Steam Workshop Support! Ever since we came up with the idea of Campaigns, we've always wanted to give you the power to create your own. Catch you soon, Jim Campaign Launch - The Trials of Radimus!Oct 18, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsIt's been almost a year since we first opened the Hall of Legends, and in that time we've seen the PvP elements on the game develop immensely. However it's time for a challenge of a different nature, a series of trials designed to test creativity and push your deck building to deal with unique and powerful adversaries. These, are the Trials of Radimus! The Trials of Radimus is Chronicle's first Single Player Campaign Expansion! There is no purchase necessary, and while future Campaigns may have an entry fee, we viewed the Trials as an essential addition to the game that should be open and free to every player. The nature of the Trials is one of varying depth, from new players to seasoned veterans, the Trials will hold a challenge befitting those who attempt them. Each Trial has 3 Stars to collect, the first of which will always be defeating your opponent. From there, things get more challenging, as to collect more stars players must meet specific victory conditions - For example stopping The Raptor surpassing 20 Armour! There'll be 13 unique missions in the Trials of Radimus, meaning 39 Challenges to complete! Each mission will take place against a unique and challenging Rival, there'll be familiar foes armed to the teeth, and new challenges hailing from across Gielinor! Take down Bandit Kings, out-muscle Barbarian Warriors and face off against the might of the TzHaar! And of course, waiting for you at the end to truly test your skills will be the Grand Vizier of the Legends’ Guild himself, Radimus Erkle. Welcome to Karamja The Trials will take you all over Gielinor, not only to the familiar locales of Misthalin, Morytania and the Kharidian Desert, but to a brand new Environment! Don't be fooled by the sea and sand, Karamja is an ancient land, inhabited by races far more powerful and deadly than the idyllic island would have you believe. Ancient and powerful races aside, there's also the slight problem of a piracy epidemic, Karamjan Rum has been fueling them to new levels of mayhem, so if there's time, sort them out would you? Karamja launches with 2 environments, themed around the TzHaar Volcano and taking the fight to the beaches. These will be entering the rotation in other modes as well, with work continuing on a brand new Wilderness map, and a third Karamja location, we're bringing even more great locations to Chronicle in the coming months. A Legend's Reward No great adventure would be complete without great rewards, and the Trials of Radimus are no exception. Persevering through the Trials and defeating Radimus himself will reward the player with a host of great rewards along the way, in addition to the usual Packs & Copper, there will be exclusive, Campaign only rewards! Naturally this is one of the biggest updates we've ever put into Chronicle. There's so much to discuss and we're constantly looking for feedback. Chronicle is now available as a downloadable Mac Client through Steam. The minimum specifications are largely the same, but you'll need to be on the latest version of OSX, preferably with a minimum of 4GB of Ram. This is an initial release! So there may be some minor instability issues as well as noticeable bugs, but we will be fully supporting OSX with future releases, so expect these to get patched up. He comes armed with 37 new cards and all new mechanics including Slayer Tasks & Aggressive creatures. Morvran is available free to play to all players, so you can jump in and unlock him by defeating his AI. Aggressive With risk comes reward, and no legend knows that better than Morvran. His Aggressive creatures will always strike first, meaning you must place your life on the line to gain their increased rewards. While this tactic is not for the faint of heart, those who dare will gain some fierce rewards, as well as access to the effects of Slayer Tasks, specifically designed with Aggressive creatures in mind. Slayer Tasks As a Slayer Master, Morvran has access to one of his class unique mechanics, Slayer Tasks. These cards assign you missions that you must complete to use them to full effect. Ranging from healing for each beast slain, to dealing damage and drawing out more of your Goblin Horde, Slayer Tasks are bound to be a key tactic in many Morvran decks. Put your skills to the test and use these unique & challenging cards to see victory. Card History Today also marks the introduction of one of our top requested player features – a card history. This log will show you all actions in the game right up to the current chapter! This is bound to be useful when remembering what that KGP discarded, or if your opponent killed that Zamorakian Occultist!Season 2 Begins!Jul 1, 2016 - Community AnnouncementsIt's been an amazing month since we launched at the end of May, and it's time for our first ever Ranked Season to end! There'll be some awesome rewards handed out tomorrow, as well as the beginning of the new Ranked Season. Players who achieved Silver league and above will receive the exclusive Season 1 card back, this dynamic card back will never be rewarded again, and is a badge of pride for those involved in the first ever season. Your card back will evolve depending on how high your end rank was, scaling all the way up to the Top 10 players! This will apply in Season 2 as well! As the exclusive Season 2 card back will be up for grabs. As well as the card back, you can show off your ranked prowess with the Season 1 titles! Ranging from Silver to Diamond master, equip these to show off how you did this season. Diamond Buffs In addition, we've brought some buffs to a few of the Diamond cards in the game. Each Legend is starting out with two alternate looks, but we’ll be adding more to the game in the future. For each Legend, one of the skins is purchasable with Copper Coins, meaning no one will miss out on being able to change their look. We’ve also made several quality of life changes, including some new animations for spells & the big Legends, new & updated card art, and improvements to our UI support. Vanescula has also gained a new card! Necrovarus, a new Ruby Support allowing her to copy Allies and wreak havoc with their effects. There will be a larger update in a couple of weeks. Bug Fixes Improved stability of finding games across different servers. Opponents hand size displays correctly when adding cards to their hand via an effect. Main menu buttons now function correctly after canceling a challenge from a friend. Switching monitor via the settings menu now works correctly and gives a warning that the client will need restarting in order to apply the change. Creating a deck no longer flickers from your previous Legend choice. Cards animate correctly when opponent is at max hand size. Camera effects are applied to the 3D icons on the cards. Performance improvements when crafting a significant volume of cards. Window resolution options are generated correctly in graphic options. Improved error handing for Steam clients. Emotes are cleared correctly at the end of a game. Server stability fix for when status changes within the Client Improved error handling when on the store if the server goes down. Nous tenons à remercier tous ceux d'entre vous qui ont été à nos côtés pendant le bêta-test ouvert, et nous vous souhaitons la bienvenue dans la version officielle du jeu ! Nous n'allons pas nous arrêter en si bon chemin, car nous préparons les versions Android et iOS, de nouvelles légendes, de nouveaux environnements et bien plus encore ! Mais pour l'instant, il est temps de célébrer cet accomplissement, alors que Chronicle s'élance à la conquête du vaste monde. Nous sommes incroyablement fiers de vous présenter Chronicle, et comme d'habitude, nous sommes impatients de recueillir vos impressions ! Wir wollen uns herzlich bei allen von euch bedanken, die bei der Beta mitgemacht haben, und möchten euch bei unserem komplett veröffentlichten Spiel willkommen heißen! Doch das ist noch nicht alles, euch erwarten noch Android- und iOS-Versionen, neue Legenden, neue Umgebungen und noch viel mehr!
