Supposedly fixed a mystery crash when custom mode is enabled by updating GameMaker. You can now add arabic_combo_digits=1 to settings_mp.ini to use non-Latin digits for combo effect display (which also allows it to display proper counts for n>10) (I'll add a proper button for it some other time) Added a failsafe so that the game can't crash when remote players do things that I haven't quite narrowed down. I also updated both the Steamworks integration and shared bits of netcode, which might have some minor positive effects on the online experience. There is now a DRM-free version of CBT for those who wanted to play the mod over LAN. (you can also switch between Steam and UDP networking on the blue menu) Fixes Fixed a handful of crashes related to out-of-bounds animation frame data access in draw events (slimes, jelly boss, etc.) Fixed a mystery crash in has_mouse_control. The game now shows a message box instead of crashing outright if language JSON is malformed. Misc I rewrote FAQ+manual to be a separate little page since Google Docs links are no longer allowed. There's no way to tell, it's just "Permission Error: Unable to obtain permission to execute". This is not very thoroughly tested (to be more specific: I did two full runs with someone and then tried spawning a bunch of new items to make sure they don't crash the game), so there might be bugs. Though, I'm sure, everyone would rather encounter bugs than wait. If you would rather wait, r57 is available on "previous" branch. Known issues: - Custom hats don't seem to work at all. In a way almost convenient, as I will definitely have to do some work for them to not cause other issues in networked games. - Doing `/q give item ` crashes the game, do `/q give item 1` for now (will be fixed in r60). What's next for CBT? Glad that you asked! No idea, actually. If you remember reading my announcement post, you might remember that the primary issue was that CBT failed to attract much press attention and remained in relative obscurity. Over 8 months that situation improved slightly, although the amount of free time I can dedicate to personal projects remains to be best described with "oh no". At the very least I'm going to fix whatever bugs that pop up from this update and then make some minor changes to netcode so that the game is less choppy if your connection is constantly dropping packets. Store page corrections (supported languages)Mar 20, 2019 - Community AnnouncementsThere seemed to be a bit of confusion over what languages the mod supports. The mod uses the same language file format as the base game, and comes with the same set of languages (sometimes slightly out of date). Any custom translation can also be loaded into the mod the same way as with the base game. The store page had now been updated to show the supported languages correctly (previously showed just English).
