Fixed the player skin tones so that all of the different shades will now show. (In the previous v5.x, all of the players had the same skin color.) Fixed a bug that was affecting the QB speed on run plays. The interaction between QB and players on run plays should be a lot better now. This will be the last major update for the 2016 version of the game. We still may fix any bugs or misc. things that pop up, but we will be turning our attention to preparing the 2017 version. Please see the patch notes below for more information. No major features here, just some fixes. Fixed a bug that was causing the snow particle effect to drastically lower framerate. Fixed a bug that was sometimes crashing the game when a turnover occurred. The stadium crowd sounds will now properly play and stop when sound effects are turn off and on. Lowered the camera pan speed on the title screen. There are a few issues that we are still working on, but I wanted to put out a patch to fix the issues above ASAP. We are still working on the following three issues: 1) Sometimes the character the user has selected will move without the user pressing any input directions. 2) Sometimes the game will stop taking input. If this happens, try unplugging and reconnecting your controller. 3) Only white player textures are showing instead of the 5 color variations. We know to fix this, it just takes a bit of time. We'll have it done soon! If you experience #1 or #2 above, please let me know and please provide as much detail as possible. The changes made in this v5.1 patch *could* have fixed those issues, but I couldn't get them to reproduce on my end, so I'm basically shooting in the dark trying to fix them. The window for making subs is accessible both in-game and in your franchise management menu. You have the ability to sub out one player in a specific formation, or replace the player entirely. Hot key for bringing up the window in game: O on keyboard, Back on controller. You can now jump to deflect passes while on defense. R on keyboard, Y on controller. You can now use power and finesse moves while engaged in a block in an attempt to break free. Success of the move is determined by player attributes. Power move: E on keyboard, B on controller. Finesse move: Q on keyboard, X on controller. You can now disengage from block by moving your defender in the opposite direction of the blocker while engaged in a block. Improved AI logic for calling timeouts Added a confirmation screen for deleting franchises to help prevent accidental deletion. Added player fatigue. Fatigue affects a player's ability to perform and is indicated by a color in both the depth chart and the active player indicator circle on-field. White is fully rested, Yellow is winded, Orange is tired, Red is gassed. A player's attributes being to be affected once they become winded (yellow). The camera will now continuously move on the Title screen instead of stopping when it reaches the other end of the field. Using the back button on the title screen takes you to the previous menu instead of back to the starting menu. Improved the lighting by implementing baked, global illumination. Combined player model meshes to improve performance. You should hopefully notice the game run better. Fixed a bug that sometimes occurred when attempting to pass the ball just as the QB was crossing the line of scrimmage. Fixed a bug where the QB would run in the wrong direction if you audibled to a run in certain formations. Fixed a bug in 2P games where users can't pick an offensive play if the defense picks punt block or FG block. Implemented a new input management system. This systems supports a wider variety of controllers and should hopefully fix any controller issues. Moved to a just-in-time loading system for team data. This should speed things up when navigating menus from the title screen. As always, balancing and adjustments are an on-going process. I will continue to make tweaks as necessary. The next update will include an extended playbook and possibly defensive audibles along with a handful of other small improvements. You can now toggle between our Aimed Passing system and a traditional Button/Icon Passing system under the in-game options menu. Note that this system is unique to each player, so if you are playing a 2P game, one person can use the aimed system and one can use the icon system. Slightly adjusted the offensive tacke's ability to pick up outside blitzs. This should reduce the amount of sacks coming from the outside. QB rushing yards and rushing TDs are now tracked for player stats. As always, balancing and adjustments are an on-going process. I will continue to make tweaks as necessary. This was a quick patch to address some of the features and requests from the community. We'll be back with another update soon after this! Patch Notes: You can now view your team's entire season schedule in addition to the league's week-by-week schedule Adjust the block duration during pass blocks on coach mode. There was a significant lack of sacks occuring previously. Fixed the bug that was preventing players from being able to kick an extra point or go for two when they scored a TD at halftime as time expired. Adjusted the amount of data initially loaded at the title screen to help those who were experiencing long loading times or freezes after the splash screen. You can now play 3:00 quarters in both Quick Match and Franchise Mode. The quick timeout feature on the controller now functions properly (press LBump + RBump at the same time). Adjusted the speed of the WR blockers on the Spread -> WR Screen play The kicking power from the kick meter now scales better at lower power levels. Previously, you could kick it at the lowest level and still make pretty long field goals. Removed the input delay from the kick meter. You can now simulate your own games in Franchise Mode! You can now toggle between fullscreen and windowed mode using the options menu of the title screen. This also allows players with multiple monitors to play the game on a different display. To do so, simply set the game to windowed mode, drag it to the desired monitor, then re-enable fullscreen mode. The menu background music is now completely modable. Find the Mods > Audio > Menu folder and simply drag in any number of tracks (must be .OGG format). The tracks will be played one after another in alphabetical order. I know there are several features and fixes that remain. I'm going to keep working and try to get them implemented ASAP. Keep an eye out for a post with more changes coming soon.
